We also have a quarry surrounding most of the property, so they sometimes operate machinery early. This is not generally too disruptive though. We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.

There is a multitude of walking, hiking and mountain bike trails. There are also many nearby horse riding trails. The property backs on to Calabash Creek which is like a rain Forrest once you get down to the valley floor.
Berowra waters is near by, whereby many fishing, canoeing, boating activities are available, coupled with some great cafes/restaurants.
Campfires are allowed as long as there are no restrictions in place and they are supervised. Pets are welcome and can be off leash, however are the responsibility of their human parents.
The property has ample room to accommodate larger groups that might want to hold milestone celebrations such as Birthday parties, whereby all sites will be closed to accommodate such events. The Lake can be fun to swim or paddle around but all visitors must wear life vests whilst in the water.

At Lakestead Farm we pride ourselves on our beautiful environment. We have lots of wildlife around. We are very upset when visitors to the Farm dig holes and poo in them. Leaving toilet paper on top. This is so unfair to us and future campers on our sites.
Because this has occurred we will only allow campers with camping toilets.
In order for us to accept your request you need to confirm you have a toilet.
Don’t say yes if you don’t have one, Checks will be done, if you don’t have a portable toilet you will be asked to leave and your fees won’t be refunded.

We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.

Welcome! Lovely to see you here. Our property is located in Arcadia, just 45 minutes from Sydney CBD. The campsite is located on the high side of the property that looks over into the valley & has stunning views of the Berowra National Park.
There is a multitude of walking, hiking and mountain bike trails. There are also many nearby horse riding trails. The property backs on to Calabash Creek which is like a rain Forrest once you get down to the valley floor.
Berowra waters is near by, whereby many fishing, canoeing, boating activities are available, coupled with some great cafes/restaurants.
Campfires are allowed as long as there are no restrictions in place and they are supervised. Pets are welcome and can be off leash, however are the responsibility of their human parents.

A campfire during permitted times is allowed but only in the fire pits. There is loads of dried kindling and small logs around the property otherwise please bring your own. All Sites have fire pits.
CHILDREN are to be accompanied by an adult at all times if walking around the property.

Pre-booked riding lessons available. We have a state forest over the road suited to bush walking or mountain bikes. Ammo the horse who galloped out in the Sydney 2000 Olympics opening ceremony is buried here at Lakestead Farm. We love to speak about our Olympic experience.

We are located minutes from the M1, easy to break your journey,
40 minutes from Wahroonga and Newcastle exit. Just 5 minutes drive to Wyong Centre with shopping centre and good restaurants, and 20 minutes drive to beaches. Off the ground fires are allowed outside bushfire season. Wood to be supplied by campers. Our property is designed to welcome small groups of people who want a quiet getaway. Because we like to keep it more intimate, The property is not designed for large groups of 10 or more wanting a social gathering or party.
We are an easy 40 minute drive to the Hunter Valley wineries and concerts in the vines
The Lake can be fun to swim or paddle around but all visitors must wear life vests whilst in the water.
Locally we have some great festivals to visit the Glenworth Food and Wine festival, Yarramalong valley Spring fair with Scarecrow comp, Wyong Love Lanes festival, Harvest festival, Ratmines Catalina Festival, Brisbane water Oyster Festival to name a few.

At Lakestead Farm we pride ourselves on our beautiful environment. We have lots of wildlife around. We are very upset when visitors to the Farm dig holes and poo in them. Leaving toilet paper on top. This is so unfair to us and future campers on our sites.
Because this has occurred we will only allow campers with camping toilets.
In order for us to accept your request you need to confirm you have a toilet.
Don’t say yes if you don’t have one, Checks will be done, if you don’t have a portable toilet you will be asked to leave and your fees won’t be refunded.

Mark and Bev are great hosts and good people to chat with. Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. Beautiful location. Not much wildlife, the creek is a bit of a short steep walk to get into the water. It was very hot and humid, great motivation to get into the creek.
Amenities were clean and maintained daily. Consideration was given for campers privacy everyone was spaced well apart.
Would definitely recommend. We will be back.

We had such a beautiful camping experience at this ranch. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was calm, open, and incredibly refreshing. The orchard views, fresh air, and wide green spaces created the perfect environment to unwind and reconnect with nature.
The grounds were well maintained, spacious, and ideal for both relaxation and family time. Waking up to the sound of birds and enjoying quiet evenings under the sky made it feel like a true escape from the busyness of everyday life. It felt safe, peaceful, and thoughtfully cared for. Whether you’re looking for a quiet retreat, a family camping trip, or simply time to reset, this ranch offers the perfect setting.
Last but not the least,the kids had the best tym,they enjoyed the tractor ride,feeding the animal and walk to the water fall. It was wonderful.
We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already planning our next visit.

It's a lovely spot. Site 1 is separate from the rest and is on a little hill under the trees, surface isn't grassy. We thought there wasn't too much level ground due to this, but in the end it wasn't a problem. A horse was wondering around at night. We came back for another night due to the convenient location not far from Sydney.

Great stay at Wywurri2 property. Must be self contained. As others have said Site 1 is seperate to all other sites so very private. But the sites are huge so good distance between campers. We had site 8 which was in the middle, but noone close to us. A bit slopey & grass overgrown so an outdoor matt would be good. Quiet & peaceful. Can have camp fires. Will definitely return.
