Welcome to Earls Farm - Campground Only 12km south of Eden, situated at the unspoiled Kiah/Towamba River, guests may enjoy swimming, fishing, paddling and bush-walking without the crowds, and/or relax and enjoy bird-watching in a private tranquil setting. There are 2 campsites next to a private branch of the river with a tidal pool perfect for young children (the main river is about a 300m walk) . Each campsite is large, around 50m in length, that share a central toilet.

Undeveloped 7 acre bush block. Close to the centre of Kalaru and the lagoon. Minutes drive or cycle to mountain biking tracks and beautiful Tathra. Enjoy the sound of the bell birds. If you're lucky, you might see some native Orchids (usually blossoming around mid-November), or pop down to Tathra to watch whales on their migration or taking a break to feed south of Tathra Head. Please note: - This block is undeveloped, bar a short driveway. There are no services at this block (water, power, sewage, internet, waste collection etc.). It is the responsibility of campers to collect and remove their own waste. Info on the nearest waste facilities will be provided prior to check in. - Ticks are present on this block. Please ensure that campers have appropriate supplies (or are prepared to otherwise seek assistance) to deal with ticks and that pets are protected appropriately. - Snakes may also be present, although we have not personally sighted any. - This block used to be attached to a nearby farm. The land is largely clean, but there are is the odd old bit of barbed wire or drum lying around. Please exercise appropriate caution when walking around the block. - The block is heavily wooded. Bushfire restrictions may impact on the ability to have a camp fire. Permits may also be required. - There are neighbours nearby. Please be considerate and courteous of those around them at all times. Keep noise to acceptable levels, particularly on weekends or in the evenings. - Pets are accepted on the property. Campers are expected to clean up after their pets, ensure noise is kept to a minimum and that their pets are appropriately restrained (i.e. can't get at native wildlife or our neighbours). The property is not sufficiently fenced to contain pets.

Riverview Kiah is offering one campsite nestled on a very quiet part of the Kiah/Towamba river. To minimize impact on neighbors and make your stay more enjoyable, there is only one campsite offered on the whole property, so apart from the owners you will have it all to yourselves. You will need to be a self-contained camper who brings their own camping toilet/shower. We offer access to water via a 1000l pod that is close to the campsite. This water is drinkable and may be used to fill jerry cans/ wash etc. We just ask you to please be frugal with usage. The campsite is situated on a grassy knoll a mere 30m away from your own private beach, which is ideal for fishing kayaking and swimming. The Kiah / Towamba river is well renowned for its excellent fishing. Live bait or soft plastics are best. Live bait can be sourced at nearby Nullica beach or alternatively, frozen prawn's, pipis or salted pilchards also yield success. Some of the species that call the river home are, Flathead, Bream, Luderick, Whiting, Estuary Pearch, Jewfish, Mullet and Flounder. If you bring your kayaks, canoe or roof top tinny the river is very picturesque with unique photo opportunities and an abundance of wildlife. You can head upstream for a way but if you're feeling up to it, it's about a 2.5-hour paddle (at a slow steady pace) to the mouth of the river where Davidsons whaling station is located, as well as the view across the bay to Eden. If you time it right, you can go and return with the tide. Two kayaks and life jackets are provided with all bookings so that people without their own equipment are able to explore the pristine waterway. There is a large firepit near the river that may be utilized as long as there is no total fire ban in effect. If you have your own firepit that can also be used but there are to be no fires on beach or bare earth. Firewood can be provided at an extra cost, (please select in extras, 1 bundle will last 2 nights on average). Directions will be provided 48 hours before arrival; you are welcome to head straight to camp although if around I will meet and greet you upon arrival. If you would like to bring your pet, please contact us to discuss first.

Trent has a beautiful spot, he has put a lot of effort in to the camp site. Was able to purchase chicken eggs and Trent greeted us after we settled in for a bit. Caught plenty of fish , walked along the sand dunes when tide was low also gave the kayaks a go. Eden town around the corner which came in super handy. Definitely coming back.

What a hidden gem. The well kept farm right beside the river was a sight to behold. Beautiful wildlife, magnificent river and well kept amenities showing pride the owner has of this place. Kids loved access to the river using the supplied canoes and life jackets and we all loved the grand fire place during the night. For sure we will be back again as we only got the explore Eden and the river to a small degree. As much as I'd love to keep this place a secret, it would be doing the owner a disservice. Thanks again for your great communication and hope to see you again soon.

Very private, quiet & picturesque. Did not even see Trent only his father who checked in on us on arrival. Everything provided for and Trent communicated well via messages. We had no problems as all explained very well & all went smoothly. We had a very peaceful, enjoyable experience and will definitely return.

Very easy to follow access instructions. Big open space for tents (& cars). Fire pit had wood supplied & toilet was clean. River not great for swimming but good for fishing apparently (we didn’t fish). Private, natural space.

This was such a great spot to take the kids. We had fun kayaking and took our own stand up paddle board. It felt very private & peaceful. We still had 1-2 bars of phone reception which was good, wouldn’t bother me if it didn’t have reception but handy to know I guess. We seen plenty of wildlife; eagles, a deer and a red belly black snake.. on the dirt road on our way out as we were leaving thankfully! The owner was very pleasant to deal with and very hospitable.

Absolutely amazing. Location is so private and many activities to do. The host Trent is a legend, from pre arrival and also during our stay, Trent made sure we were comfortable. This spot is supplied with water, kayaks, life jackets, insect repellent, even fishing rod holders for the river(nice touch) and more… all the things to keep your stay comfy and fun. Would absolutely recommend this hip camp and we’ll definitely be back.

The site is right on the river, there is plenty of privacy with enough room to spread out with multiple families. We enjoyed our stay at Trent's HipCamp & would come again. Lovely spot on the river in Kiah with superb views. We had a great time here - would love to come back. Super site - we had a tent as well as a caravan, worked so well. Very well appointed with potable water and a great fire pit. Our two dogs had a great time running around the site and along the sand bar while we paddled in the kayaks. Trent was a great host. So many birds around the site. My in-laws wished they’d brought their binoculars and their cameras. Superb!
