Our little farm is part of the original Dairy farm of the area circa 1880 Model Farm and we are currently renovating and revegetating the property. We have two spring fed creeks that meet at the front of the property in front with a swimming hole, we are surrounded by National Parks, pristine beaches and the beautiful Nethercote Falls is only 5 minutes up the road. Close to two sweet coastal towns, Eden 7minutes and Pambula 15minutes drive.
Lots of bird and insect life along with our little herd of sheep and geese.
We are currently developing permaculture systems for our home and garden and part of the system is we have a composting toilet for campers!
We love animals and we are happy for you to bring your dog only if it is friendly with other dogs because we have 4 friendly dogs here. As long as you keep your dog on a lead as we have livestock. Please contact us prior to discuss dog situation.

Riverview Kiah is offering one campsite nestled on a very quiet part of the Kiah/Towamba river. To minimize impact on neighbors and make your stay more enjoyable, there is only one campsite offered on the whole property, so apart from the owners you will have it all to yourselves.
You will need to be a self-contained camper who brings their own camping toilet/shower. We offer access to water via a 1000l pod that is close to the campsite. This water is drinkable and may be used to fill jerry cans/ wash etc. We just ask you to please be frugal with usage.
The campsite is situated on a grassy knoll a mere 30m away from your own private beach, which is ideal for fishing kayaking and swimming.
The Kiah / Towamba river is well renowned for its excellent fishing. Live bait or soft plastics are best. Live bait can be sourced at nearby Nullica beach or alternatively, frozen prawn's, pipis or salted pilchards also yield success. Some of the species that call the river home are, Flathead, Bream, Luderick, Whiting, Estuary Pearch, Jewfish, Mullet and Flounder.
If you bring your kayaks, canoe or roof top tinny the river is very picturesque with unique photo opportunities and an abundance of wildlife. You can head upstream for a way but if you're feeling up to it, it's about a 2.5-hour paddle (at a slow steady pace) to the mouth of the river where Davidsons whaling station is located, as well as the view across the bay to Eden. If you time it right, you can go and return with the tide. Two kayaks and life jackets are provided with all bookings so that people without their own equipment are able to explore the pristine waterway.
There is a large firepit near the river that may be utilized as long as there is no total fire ban in effect. If you have your own firepit that can also be used but there are to be no fires on beach or bare earth. Firewood can be provided at an extra cost, (please select in extras, 1 bundle will last 2 nights on average).
Directions will be provided 48 hours before arrival; you are welcome to head straight to camp although if around I will meet and greet you upon arrival.

Full privacy with only one group per secluded site. Spacious level grassy campsites on the Towamba (Kiah) River, a pristine estuary that runs into Twofold Bay. 10 minutes on bitumen south of Eden and close to many of the Sapphire Coast's stunning coastline, National Parks and attractions.
Site #1 (near) Boatramp has NO facilities so you must be self-contained. Site #2 Main Site offers a composting toilet. Both sites have access to fresh water and are suitable for caravans as well as tents.
We are not and never will be a 'caravan park' - your group will have exclusive use of the campsite. Each are far from each other, both are right near to - or very close to - the river. Our guests love the tranquility and not having to share!
Fish the river for flathead or bream and enjoy it for dinner by the campfire. Bring your kayak or SUP or just enjoy a swim in the clear sandy-bottom river.
Once your booking request has been confirmed, let us know if you need more specific directions so you can find us easily.
Well behaved (spoilt) dogs okay but please no hunting type dogs. Both sites have access to separate taps for fresh drinking water.
Firewood can be collected from the property or supplied at a small fee (you can book this when you book your site). Feel free to collect your own kindling - plenty around). Good mobile reception on the Telstra network.

Our property is dog friendly for well-behaved dogs that don't chase wildlife or the horses on our property. No hunting dogs.

A haven for many species of birds and wildlife, sea and wedge tail eagles nesting close by a bird watchers and canoeists paradise, also many species of fish so if you want to wet a line a Victorian fishing licence is needed, the river has a 5 knot speed limit from the campsite to Gypsy Point, if your more into bushwalking or sightseeing there are several national parks within a 30 minute drive or boat trip, or just have a swim, chill, relax and enjoy the peace and serenity. one site has small tinny access to the river and the other is good for a 20 ft boat, camping and fires are only allowed in designated camping areas due to rehabilitation of river frontage large trees and flash flooding, at all sites you cannot camp or have fires in fenced off river frontage, bring your own firewood or it can be supplied for $25 per wheelbarrow when booking in, you will have to provide your own, shower, water, etc, all sites have access to a site toilet, take all waste away when you leave, I can arrange if needed by prior notice, bulk firewood, launching of boat, etc. No firewood collection, motorbike riding, shooting or 4x4ing on site, some pets on leash may be allowed by prior arrangement, there's a 10 % discount factored in at checkout if booking for 5 or more nights, if having trouble booking or any other inquiries please send message cheers John.

376 hectare operating dairy farm next to Biamanga National Park with access via secret 4WD track to the mountain and 22km to Brogo Dam for bass fishing. Brogo Dam is excellent location for a swim and to take your dogs for a walk or swim. 16.5 kms to shopping centre of Bega. & 34 km to Tathra beach.
The property has eucalyptus forest, rainforest gullies, fresh mountain water and abundant wildlife include bellbirds and lyrebirds.
The campsite is at the original 1908 selection block by the late John Pearce (one of the first settlers in the area) and has extensive views.
in dry weather you can get here in 2WD towing a small camper trailer. There is a steep hairpin bend so I do not recommend caravans with 2WD vehicles (4WD vehicle and caravan could handle this). I’m so pleased to have discovered this fabulous camping spot. I was at Wombat Way and the Wombats were plentiful and very active at dusk.
I had a huge space to myself beside the creek and Meredith delivered a lovely load of firewood to keep me warm.
I’m a local, looking for a little peace and quiet and Merimbula Camping did the trick and more. I’ll be back. Just lovely!

We’ve just come home from two weeks at Freshwater Farm in Kiah and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better stay.
Kylie and Sandy were amazing hosts; so welcoming and we’re really grateful they’ve opened up their beautiful property for others to enjoy. The directions in were clear and easy to follow, and access was fine in dry conditions, though I’d probably think twice about towing a big rig in if it was wet.
We stayed at Open Space 4, which was a great pocket with plenty of room and privacy. Being there during the deer rut made things pretty entertaining; lots of noise, but it didn’t bother us at all in the van.
The wildlife was a real highlight. Beautiful birds everywhere, fish jumping (even if we didn’t catch any!), and one night we even saw a seal come up the river. Canoeing up to the bridge was such a great morning; we spotted deer, lizards, eels and kingfishers along the way.
There’s plenty to see and do around the area, and it was handy that the local caravan park lets you dump waste for a small fee.
Highly recommend – we’ll definitely be back.

Enjoyed my caravan stay at Merimbula Camping 2. Value for money compared to most Hipcamps. Beautiful countryside, sites spread out, fire pits, wood delivery, small creek, composting toilet (that didn’t smell)

This is one of the best camps we’ve been to . Pelicans rest area is large, on the river and quiet . Huge space between campers, booked for 3 and extended our stay . Fires all ok and wood delivered , along with oysters and eggs. Vegetable and herb garden was a huge bonus . And well stocked . Prices compared to other hipcamps are so reasonable . Would come back and highly recommend . 5 minutes to Merimbula and Pambula so lots to do without going far and you still feel like you’re in the country .

We absolutely loved our stay! Our camping spot was perfect—super close to the amenities, and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean waves was just incredible. Everything was so clean and well maintained, which made the whole experience even more relaxing. The staff were genuinely exceptional and made us feel so welcome. We had the best time and will definitely be coming back!🤗

Mitingandi was amazing! We upgraded to a river site and were really glad we did. It was a little quieter and site 1 had us in a nice little corner. The boys tried to fish (with lots of laughter) whilst I relaxed reading a book. Such a great spot, just a little too close to the highway.

From the moment we drove in, we knew this place was special! Such a beautiful property, you couldn’t help but feel incredibly relaxed! We were a bit nervous for the drive in and out given we had a big van, but there was absolutely no dramas (definitely needed the 4WD though). Will definitely be back!
