Our property is located within walking distance of the magnificent Ellenborough Falls and many other beautiful and tranquil places to walk or visit. We are located in the village is Elands located in the mountains west of Port Macquarie. Or Taree (Elevation 600mts) Cool climate rainforest surrounds us and the forest is at our doorstep. If you like hiking or simply being in nature you will fall in love with this secret, wild and beautiful place. Our little patch is a small hobby Chestnut 🌰 farm. We are offering our quaint, artistic and private cabin for short term stays Minimum stay 2 nights. This is a perfect retreat for someone who is perhaps an artist or writer and wants to get away from city life and immerse themselves in nature. There is a cosy fire with wood supplied The winter days on the mountain are spectacular but the nights can get cold so bring warm clothing. The bird life is plentiful with many rare and amazing species either visiting on their annual journeys or calling it home such as the yellow tailed black cockatoo. Several species of wallabies graze around the cabin in the early mornings or late afternoons. Elands is a quiet village with an eclectic community, a Post Office and General store. Our closest town being Wingham is approximately 40 minutes drive the last 16 klms up the mountain is unsealed. It is suitable for all types of vehicles but can be rough at times. The cabin has mobile phone service for those with Telstra or Aldi SIM cards. We have 3 generations of family living on our property and we are only interested in hosting a single female or couple. We have for many years hosted helpers on our farm but now are offering it as a short term stay (2 nights minimum) We are completely off grid and try to live in a simple manner with solar, tank water and an outdoor composting toilet. We are only just starting to rent our cabin out and so far have no reviews but have many 5 star reviews on other platforms such as HelpX Unfortunately we don’t allow pets as we have our own dogs on the property who have grown up with the surrounding wildlife and pose no threat. We also have a couple of swamp hen families. A number of fruit bats from Wingham brush reach us most nights at dusk. We have also seen an owl near the chicken coop & if you're lucky you may spot the kangaroos in the paddock. We welcome tents, campervans, trailer tents and caravans but you need to provide your own drinking water- outside solar shower is available that can be filled up at the rainwater tank by the camp kitchen. Circle K Ranch is a 40 acres farm that breeds Paint Horses for pleasure and showing purposes located at Upper Rollands Plains. We have allocated for our Hipcampers 5 acres along the creek line. The stoney creek is perfect for cooling off in Summer and paddling with the kids. Just 2 minutes drive away from the popular local fresh water swimming hole called "The Pop Hole". Suitable for swimming, canoeing and fishing. Port Macquarie and Wauchope are an easy 35 minute drive and Telegraph Point 20 minute drive.

4 nights at The Riverside Farm Escape Minimbah

Camping by the river was wonderful and being able to launch our kayaks from beside our van made things very easy. Nice place to swim when it gets hot also helped although access a bit of a challenge. One and only downside was the traffic noise in the night seems to travel straight up the river. Enjoyed our stay and we will be back

Weekend Trip to Windermere Farm

We had a lovely one night stay, very peaceful and beautiful property. With only 3 sites its spaced out very well and very private but we were lucky to have it all to ourselves with no other campers - but did get to share it with Annie and Peter’s gorgeous welsh horses including 2 month old Betty! Also got to meet Ned and Patrick, the working collies. Our spot on the river was magic. Even a few showers of rain didn’t dampen the mood. We highly recommend this beautiful spot, only 10mins from Hat Head. Thanks Annie and Peter!

This was by far our favourite stay in NSW. Louise and her husband were extremely welcoming and kind, the property was just breathtaking by the water. Had heaps of fun feeding the animals in the morning as well. Toilets were extremely neat and tidy.

1 night at Windermere Farm

We had a great stay at Annie and Peter’s camping area. The location is beautiful, set right on the river with a peaceful, open outlook. The grassy area was well kept, and with only three sites, everything felt quiet and spacious. Each site is well separated, so you get plenty of privacy. It's also a great place for anyone wanting a good fishing spot by the water. Annie and Peter were lovely hosts and have thought of everything to make it an enjoyable place to stay. We'll be back!
