We are on 37 acres on the beautiful mid-north coast of New South Wales, offering a peaceful and pretty location to pull up for a night or a few. On our property, we have some cattle that roam and our dogs. We have a gorgeous dam where you can watch the abundant birds going about their day, and in the evening, watch the colours dance as the sun sets. The access road to the property is tar and is only about 5 minutes from the main road between Kempsey and Frederickton, so it's an ideal stopover for one night or a few. Kempsey is only a 10-minute drive away, Port Macquarie only about 45 minutes, and the beaches of Crescent Head and South West Rocks are the same. All campers need to be self-contained with their own camp toilet.

We are offering our quaint, artistic and private cabin for short term stays Minimum stay 2 nights. This is a perfect retreat for someone who is perhaps an artist or writer and wants to get away from city life and immerse themselves in nature. There is a cosy fire with wood supplied The winter days on the mountain are spectacular but the nights can get cold so bring warm clothing. The bird life is plentiful with many rare and amazing species either visiting on their annual journeys or calling it home such as the yellow tailed black cockatoo. Several species of wallabies graze around the cabin in the early mornings or late afternoons. Elands is a quiet village with an eclectic community, a Post Office and General store. Our closest town being Wingham is approximately 40 minutes drive the last 16 klms up the mountain is unsealed. It is suitable for all types of vehicles but can be rough at times. The cabin has mobile phone service for those with Telstra or Aldi SIM cards. We have 3 generations of family living on our property and we are only interested in hosting a single female or couple. We have for many years hosted helpers on our farm but now are offering it as a short term stay (2 nights minimum) We are completely off grid and try to live in a simple manner with solar, tank water and an outdoor composting toilet. We are only just starting to rent our cabin out and so far have no reviews but have many 5 star reviews on other platforms such as HelpX Unfortunately we don’t allow pets as we have our own dogs on the property who have grown up with the surrounding wildlife and pose no threat. The cottage is fully self-contained; 3 bedrooms, a wood fire, and wrap wraparound verandah to take in the view or stare at the night sky. Situated on 220 acres of farmland and native forest. Native animals abound on the farm and a short drive brings you to the 160m high Ellenborough Falls. Spend time relaxing, exploring, rehabilitating. Cascades Cottage is named after the beautiful Cascades that have a drop of around 10 meters, at the center of which you can cool down in a natural plunge pool or sit and listen to the water cascade down a 4-meter fall. It is an ideal space on a hot summer day to take a camp chair sit with a glass of wine and rejuvenate in absolute privacy. A stay at Cascades Cottage can be any sort of holiday you like - a romantic getaway, a relaxing and peaceful break, or a fun and action-packed adventure exploring the farm, nearby national parks, the fall, and the rapids which is off the farm about 10 minutes away but a fun and dynamic place where you can swim and explore the natural rock pools that run from the top of a natural stream. Native wildlife make the farm their home. Wallabies, koalas, and platypus can often be seen enjoying the surroundings. Kayak on the dam or spend time on the pier waiting for the platypus to play in the early mornings and late afternoon. A stay at the Cascades will bring you close to nature and give you a wonderful tree change for the duration of your stay. Guests have access to a large freshwater dam and two kayaks are provided for your use (as well as life jackets). Guests can explore the whole property of 220 acres. There are many waterways and rainforest areas as well as fields and paddocks. We had a fantastic 3 nights at Riverside Farmstay. The property is lovely and peaceful right next to the river with access to power and water, clean toilets, pool and private jetty. The camp Kitchen is an awesome space with wood fired pizza oven and large indoor bar area and pool table. Our boys had the best time feeding the animals each morning, playing on the flying fox and hanging out with Jeff and Lou’s grandkids. Having been on the road for a year now, the stand out places to stay for us are those with the personal touch where we are made to feel welcome and at home and this is one of those unique places. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend

This is a stunning area. The camping spots were beautiful and easy to get to. You don't have to drive very far in from the road, yet they are peaceful and quiet. Being able to launch the canoe straight into the river was great and Annie and Peter were warm and welcoming and made sure we were enjoying our stay. The campfire and wood were appreciated. We'll definitely be back.

We are located 10 minutes' drive from the Nabiac township where you will find a collection of food, beverage and interesting antique and giftware. Welcome to Whispering Mountain. We are a small hobby farm with a menagerie of animals to pat and see. Our main attraction is our Scottish Highland Cattle and our emus, but of course, there’s a lot more than these guys. We have a large paddock adjacent to Lansdowne River, where we welcome self-contained campers to set up and enjoy the peace, and easy river access. The paddock does not have any trees or toilet amenities at this stage. So it's currently BYO toilets/showers please, and all waste it to be taken when you depart. We are 20 minutes out of Taree and 50 minutes to Port Macquarie. There are local beaches at Manning Point and Crowdy Head. Great for fishing. There is also 15min to Big Nelly where you can drive to the top of the mountain and many other stops to stop and look over the region, so yiu can take a picnic basket and flask, if yiu feeling more adventures yiu cam stop at Watui Falls amd then head up and over the mountains to ... WARNING this trek of mountain road is only accessible by 4WD. There's also Ellebrough falls. If you’re looking for extra fun we offer Archery lessons and are affiliated with Archery NSW. We also offer a petting zoo for a small additional cost. Ask us for more details!

Please note that in very wet weather , being riverside camping, the sites can be unsuitable for caravans and camper vans . Please enquire by message with us to verify current conditions. We endeavour to accomodate you but cannot predict the weather. Tent sites usually okay at any time . You can fish or set a crab trap, kayak, paddle board, bring the tinny or just relax and enjoy the water view and surrounding farmland. A few shade trees and quiet surroundings makes this the perfect spot for your next getaway. Fire baskets available. Conveniently located only a 5 minute drive to Gladestone shops and hotel. Enjoy 10 acres of nature, with lots of peace & serenity yet just 10min to boutique town of Wingham 30min to beautiful Old Bar Beach (dog friendly) 20 min to Taree & just 30min drive from A1 highway. Wingham has award winning coffee & dining, golf club, town hotel with great meals & live bands most weekends, swimming pool (seasonal), bowling club, monthly markets, Coles, fuel, chemist, rifle range, clay pigeon shooting, famous brush walk to enjoy the resident bats & much more. Shared camp kitchen available with gas oven/stove & some pots, pans, plates, utensils etc. Camp kitchen has table & chairs & wash-up facilities with tank water. Outside Solar shower also set up where you can gaze at the sky above but private so modesty is protected! We have two full dams that host our 2 ducks, free range chooks (collect your own fresh eggs daily-not available in winter), 5 guinea fowl a couple of farm cats & awesome birds-Rainbow Lorikeets, King Parrots, Crimson Rosellas and Kookaburras. We also have a couple of swamp hen families. A number of fruit bats from Wingham brush reach us most nights at dusk. We have also seen an owl near the chicken coop & if you're lucky you may spot the kangaroos in the paddock. We welcome tents, campervans, trailer tents and caravans but you need to provide your own drinking water- outside solar shower is available that can be filled up at the rainwater tank by the camp kitchen. We do have 2 x portapotty and 2 x Thunderbox type toilet that can be hired. The price includes the final emptying, Wingham showgrounds has a dump point if you need to empty before. The Paddock suits all vehicles- Max 6 parties at once. We also have more private spot Woodland Area which suits just one party but vehicle access is a couple of mins walk and further to the camp kitchen. Fires allowed but only in contained firepits and off ground. We currently have 5 firepit presently to use at your own site (must be kept off ground on bricks provided). Fires not allowed during total fire bans Take your camping chairs to the edge of 1 of 2 dams and watch our pet ducks. Pets on leashes are welcome. Plenty to see and do around here.

Gorgeous property situated in the valley looking up to Flat Rock mountain escarpment. This is a great place to pull in on your way to Sydney or QLD or to use as a base to explore this beautiful area. Stunning views. Perfect place to relax with a book, draw, bird watch or take photographs. Birds, kangaroos, cows and lizards are abundant here. Fresh water creek is safe for cooking or a quick dip. (Note water isn’t very deep) . Local sights include Taree and Wingham 30min. The villages of Lansdowne, Coopernook, Harrington, Crowdy Head all no more than 30 min drive away. Stay a few days, visit quaint country towns, lookouts, waterfalls, beaches and so much more. This site looks up to amazing escapements views. (Flat rock lookout) There is only 1 site available at this stage however more will become available soon. Ground can be damp if it’s been raining, we recommend you bring levelling blocks just in case. There is plenty of room to move around. Our Property offers a peaceful, quiet and calm place to relax and unwind. There are fenced in cows on property. Please leave gates how you find them. Some fences are electric. Children are welcome but must be fully supervised at all times. Pets welcome but must be on a lead at all times, photo of pets must be supplied at time of booking. Pets to be kept inside at night. (Please pick up after them) We are a super friendly family of 3 with pets of our own. We are also pretty knowledgeable of the areas and can recommend things to do and places to visit. At certain times there will be fruit grown on the property available for purchase. Please note that there are no food/ drink shops close by (30min away) please bring all supplies with you. You must have your own toilet. Property can flood, you will need to move to higher ground on property if flood warnings have been announced. Bush walking allowed upon request. Please note- Koppin Yarratt Road from Comboyne to Upper Lansdowne is CLOSED.
