We do not accommodate large groups as our focus is peace, relaxation and family friendly.
The property is home to an abundance of wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, native birds and reptiles. There are also a lot of wombats so stay on the track and look for burrows.
There are many activities to enjoy including kayaking, fishing, swimming, bush walking, bird watching and 15kms of mountain bike trails.
We are pet friendly, please remember to have your pets protected against ticks.
You will need to be self-contained with own camping toilet, shower and water. Please DO NOT dig toilet hole, even though you leave it covered, it doesn't take long for the foxes to dig it up and leave a real mess!! Campfires permitted in designated areas.
There is mobile reception. No shooting, archery or hunting. No trail bikes. Do not damage trees, there is plenty of firewood on the ground.

Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround.
It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views.
As of September 2025, many of the trails on the property have been degraded by the rains and are now challenging for 2WD cars. If you're towing or it's wet we recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles.
Since this is coastal rainforest and it has been very wet, expect leeches anywhere it is damp. These are easily kept at bay with deet and or trousers tucked into socks.
We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with.
Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

100 acres of secluded paradise with a kilometer of free flowing pebbled creek. Bound on two sides by the craggy escarpments of the Budgong and Morton National Parks there is ample grassland to give a feeling of space yet an abundance of trees to wander through as you engage with the tame wildlife and magnificent birdlife.
Bring your mountain bike, fishing rod, swimmers, hiking boots, tennis racket, basketball (a hoop on the tennis court) or climbing gear and leave the kids in the play area while you sit by the creek and listen to the water tumbling through the rocks.
If you are as intrigued by rare animals as we are, then this is the place for you. 63 Bird species, 24 mammals, 16 reptiles, and 12 amphibians have been sighted in the area (Clarke 2012) and this includes many rare and endangered species including the platypus, brush-tailed rock wallaby, Giant burrowing frog, Gang-gang cockatoo, Glossy black-cockatoo, Koala, Little Lorikeet and the Yellow-bellied glider.
We only have three campsites at present, so you will be guaranteed peace, space and privacy. with a minimum of 400m between all sites. Please note, that your group must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, however fresh drinking water is available.
Access is into a valley on a well maintained unsealed road but there are some minor causeways making it unsuitable for busses or long low slung vans. An ordinary sedan will do for Billabong and Dad's camp sites but you will need some power for towing and a 4x4 to tow out in any rain. Riverbend site is only suitable for 4x4's and off-road camp trailers.

Elouera Vale is a working farm located just outside Mittagong NSW. We breed and train camels for sale, especially into the Southern Highlands. Camels are excellent for weed control and co-grazing with cattle. 'Elouera Vale' also breeds Belted Galloway cattle, Dorper and Wiltipol sheep and donkeys.
Our property covers over 140 acres, 80 acres cleared and pasture improved and the rest consisting of forest. The Chain O Ponds creek runs through the property and makes for a lovely walk. You will probably get to see kangaroo, wallaby, wombats, echidnas, koalas and lots of bird life.
The lush green hills abound with walking and cycling trails. You can head to the spectacular Nattai Gorge via the Box Vale Mine walking track, an easy 4.4km circular walk that follows an old railway line through a tunnel to breath-taking views. Enjoy a picnic in the magnificent Lake Alexandra Reserve or hike up extinct volcanic peak Mount Gibraltar.
The closest shops are approximately a 15 minute drive to the Mittagong Town Centre where you will find all the shops, cafes and restaurants for your needs. It is well worth a visit to ‘The Shaggy Cow’ cafe, one of our favourite foodie spots (don’t forget to mention Elouera Vale).
While you're here please try the Cool Climate wines. The region’s rich soil and high altitude are ideal for cool-climate wine growing. We are located 8 kilometres off the Princes Highway and we DO recommend 4wd as there is 5 kilometres of rough dirt road with 3 creek crossings that can be flooded in heavy rains.
Dogs are accepted but Must be kept on a leash as we have an abundance of wildlife, wallabies, kangaroos, wombats and birds, as well as our own dogs, horses, pigs, goats and a cat.
Please be aware of wombat holes. As well as snakes.

Hello Campers! Our beautiful property is located on 20 acres in a convenient location just 10 minutes out of Campbelltown. The property is a short drive to Dharawal National Park, and a great 'home base' while you explore everything the area has to offer.
There are fire pits provided for campfires, given there are no fire bans or restrictions in place. If you would like to be further away you can camp near our dam which is becoming more popular as of late .If you would like to be totally tucked away in the bush we also have spots totally surrounded by bush, please let us know when booking. There is a hot outdoor shower and a toilet on site just a short walk from all the camp sites.
Please take note that our dogs which love people and are super friendly wander around freely and will come and visit you, so if you do not like dogs please do not book in .

We have a lovely flowing creek through our property, your choice of camp sites, fire pit, firewood. Grassy sunny areas and shady grassed areas. Self guided walks throughout the property to explore the creek, mountain and mini rainforest.
You must be self sufficient as there are no toilets or showers available and please take all rubbish with you.
We are located 8 kilometres off the Princes Highway and we DO recommend 4wd as there is 5 kilometres of rough dirt road with 3 creek crossings that can be flooded in heavy rains.
Dogs are accepted but Must be kept on a leash as we have an abundance of wildlife, wallabies, kangaroos, wombats and birds, as well as our own dogs, horses, pigs, goats and a cat.
Please be aware of wombat holes. As well as snakes.

Old Forty Pumpkin Farm is located in Colo Vale which is 1 hour out of Sydney, 10 mins from Mittagong and 15 mins from Bowral.
The owner, Bruce, grows giant pumpkins as well as other fruit and vegetables.
The property is the last property in McCallums road so there is absolutely no passing traffic making for the most serene, peaceful stay.
The property has various campsites to select from, each with its own fire pit, perfect for a quiet drink while the sun goes down and toasted marshmallows under the stars. Firewood is not provided so please bring your own.
There’s plenty of room for mountain bike riding, and bushwalking with many beautiful walking trails.
You will need to bring your own toilet, and all rubbish must be removed when you leave.

La Estancia Hideaway was the perfect place for a 3 night break away. It's spacious, surrounded by trees, quiet and very, very comfortable. A fresh and clean bathroom, huge amenities shed and even an open air bath. Our host, Magali, was welcoming and communicative. Highly recommended and we'll be back.

this place is so amazing along with the host - it’s an absolute hidden treasure that once you know you will return - it’s in a great spot for exploring the Jervis Bay Area - it has the best communal area and an outdoor bath in the forest that is private to your booking - I almost don’t want to review this because I want to make sure I get to revisit !! But Magali and her place need a shout out as she has poured so much love into creating a beautiful camping experience :)

We all really enjoyed staying at wombat hollow, there was plenty of space, peace and quiet with plenty of distance to other campsites. The swim spot was great even though there hasn’t been much rain in months. Vallance was very welcoming and made a big fire for all the campers to enjoy at New Year’s Eve. We will definitely be going back again 👌

We had the most amazing stay at Babbling Brooks. The property is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful…it truly felt like we were the only people there. Such a special spot to relax and unwind.
Our dogs had the best time too, exploring and enjoying the space just as much as we did. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and have already booked our next stay there…

Fire pits supplied and you feel like you’re completely hidden away. !!Secret Valley!! Only a short drive to some amazing beaches. They have sheep that love to chat and 2 beautiful horses to pat. Bruce is a great host, he met us on arrival and then escorted us to our camp-site, to make sure we could find a good spot to set-up. The site was great, quiet, secluded but with plenty of space for our dogs to run around. I can definitely recommend for anyone with dogs looking for a private camp-site, with a great host to assist where necessary. Will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Perfect location, loved staying on this property. We enjoyed daily swims in the river, the site was private and well maintained with camping neighbours nowhere near our site.
Vallance and his family were so very friendly and hospitable and we will come back many a time in the future.
Plenty of morning and afternoon shade at the site and because it's a new site there is a huge amount of firewood for campers to utilise.
Nothing negative to say.
Dream camping trip over new years, peaceful, with a mega bonfire put on for guests to celebrate the new year.
Park and trampoline were perfect for kids.

We loved our time camping on Yabbie Corner. Vallance was a great host, very welcoming, great communications and you can see that he takes great care of the property. Highly recommend hiring a kayak to explore the river, we had no luck catching fish but enjoyed paddling the river. Highly recommend staying here, it was easily one of the best Hipcamps we have stayed at!

We spent a week at Lisa's hipcamp and it was excellent! Lisa was very communicative and helpful, particularly with directions for finding it the first time and showing us to site. The land is lovely, deep in the state forest with nothing to hear but birds and the occasional sheep. Sites are very far apart and private.
We went in a 21.6ft van - we made it but the track into the property and out can get very tight so would not recommend taking anything bigger, or even the same size if you're not super confident yet with your van.

We stayed at sunset in a swag which was a little bit on a slope as you are pretty much camping on a beautiful big sandy rock.
The sunset and the night sky and the gorgeous walks near by, I love the chairs set up at various locations around the gorge.
The accessibility to the property was fantastic, we were unbothered by the host or other campers we had campsite to ourselves not able to hear noise from others.
Other campers did walk by on the way to the gorge and did think the sunset sign was where you went to watch we did invite them to check out the site and I highly suggested to them the sunset spots down at the gorge as I was so amazed by those.
Hard to believe something so magical is only a little over an hour and a bit from Wollongong. The proximity to the townships is fabulous and we will be back to check out the tours of the historic town and attend the local distillery. Next time I think a cheese platter down by the gorge from the host will be required.
