Canoelands Orchard Camping and Fruit Picking, is located just 1 hour from Sydney's CBD. The property is 81 acres in total with a small shop and cafe onsite. We offer pick your own fruit so are open to the public daily (closed on occasion). Trading hours can be viewed at www.bookingscanoeladns.com. We are surrounded by the stunning valley views of Marra Marra National Park. Guests can enjoy hiking, wandering the orchard picking fresh produce, taking a tractor ride, feeding the animals and relaxing. Please note we are a working farm so sometimes tractors and vehicles can be heard working from 7am. There will be foot traffic and possibly tractor rides operating near some of the sites although we will do our best to respect your privacy while you are here. We also have a quarry surrounding most of the property, so they sometimes operate machinery early. This is not generally too disruptive though. We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.

We (Brian and Sally) have been re-vegetating the land and living here sustainably being “Off Grid” for over 45years, surrounded by bush with 3km of Stockyard creek meandering through the valley. HOT and dry summer so the creek is not flowing at present. We would love to share this paradise with those wanting to get away from wifi and the hustle and bustle of city life. (for emergencies we have satellite phone) Children under 4yrs are free. Dogs welcome but kept on a lead during the evening.

Our site provides a perfect opportunity to step away from the rush of life, into a place where time slows, nature speaks, and the land welcomes you with open arms.
Nestled in an open valley, within the ancient lands of the Darkinjung people- the traditional custodians of Yengo National Park, we offer the perfect space to disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with the land, yourself, and the rhythms of nature.
As you walk through the valley, along ridges, and into the bushland, you follow paths walked for thousands of years. The land holds stories, wisdom, and energy that invite a deep sense of presence and respect.
The valley teems with native wildlife. Wake to the calls of lyrebirds, watch wallabies grazing in the mist, and spot wombats burrowing at dusk. Birdwatchers will delight in the chance to see colourful parrots, majestic eagles, and other native species in their natural habitat. As night falls, the sky opens in all its brilliance, offering a breathtaking display of stars unspoiled by city lights. Sleep beneath the endless sky, wrapped in the sounds of the bush, and experience the deep peace that comes with being immersed in nature.
Our place offers more than just an outdoor getaway, it invites you to slow down and embrace the landscape around you. Whether seeking solitude or shared experiences, there are countless ways to connect with this ancient land:
• Bushwalking & Exploration – Wander along trails through the valley, ridges, and bush to experience Yengo’s diverse ecosystems.
• Stillness & Reflection – Find a quiet spot to sit and simply be. Let the land guide you into a state of stillness, free from distractions and daily pressures. Listen to the wind, the birds, and the wisdom held in the land itself, or engage in meditation or journalling to deepen your connection with yourself and the environment.
• Campfire Connection – As the sun sets, gather around the warmth of the fire. Share stories, listen to the crackling wood, and embrace the simplicity of conversation under the vast night sky.
Please note the property is relatively remote, 30 minutes from Wollombi along an unsealed road.

What an awesome place to have a break! Hosts are brilliant, we were taken to our super secluded site in the middle of the bush, with its own toilet 👍🏻 and fire pit! We also purchased some of their delicious resident honey. We will be back for sure!

We had a lovely three-night stay nestled in the orchards; while many fruits were out of season, we really enjoyed picking the mandarins, peaches, and plums that were available. Jaime was a fantastic, hassle-free host who even opened the cafe on New Year’s Day for our coffee fix and organized animal feeding for our 3-year-old, who also loved the sandpit.
The extra-large sites were easy to find, and between the hot shower and the hot water available for dishes in the red-roofed building, we stayed very comfortable despite the inclement weather.

We enjoyed camping at Brian and Sally’s place. Felt very relaxed nestled in amongst all of the beautiful trees. Very private and quiet area. Was handy having the pit toilet available and great to be able to take our dog along. Wish I’d packed the antihistamines as unfortunately we encountered a few ant bites and a brush with some stinging nettle!! Despite this we all had a lovely time an would recommend to other campers

On arrival we were greeted warmly by Phil and the horses. We had a 2 years old with us she was really excited to see them. On the camp site also have little wombat, the site was clean and beautiful. Great little getaway not far from Sydney. Easy to access great host thank you again for having us!

Lovely campsite and we had a great stay. The toilets were just a short walk from the campsite and the campsite was surrounded by nice fruit trees. My son loved feeding the animals and communication with Jaime was easy.

What an absolutely incredible space to camp. Beautiful valley vibes surrounded the camp spots, Troy himself is a gem and shows you around with his very well behaved and joyful dog, Patch. Can not wait to come back!

The sites are bigger than we thought from the pictures.
The facilities are clean and good.
It is a 5 min walk from the main campsites but central on the property

Even though we went there between the fruit season and the hosts were taking Christmas break, our kids had a great time. The lady opened the shop in the morning and we were able to grab some honey and ice cream. Our kids loved walking around the orchard, played in the sandpit for a quite long time and enjoyed especially feeding animals. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. They also had 2 beautiful dogs Billy and Steve-O who were like 10 times bigger than our dog but they were gentle. Site 3 was very good that it was very private and close enough to amenities.
