Weekend Trip to Mellows Ridge

The Bell Tent was amazing! We enjoyed every single minute of it and the hosts were very accommodating and welcoming. The pizza was very delicious and sitting by the firepit drinking our complementary beers kept us warm on a cool night. The Bell Tent was also stacked with a power bank and Apple home pod which kept us entertained. Overall, we would highly recommend!

I loved glamping at Jila flash camp! Great for family & couples too. My kids loved swimming in the lake! Got to appreciate the beauty of nature, would love to go back again!

Weekend Trip to Mellows Ridge

We had the absolute best time!! I went with my partner for a night as a getaway from busy Sydney and this hipcamp exceeded our expectations. Ian is so hospitable, so much so that he even gave us a backpack and a lunchbox to go hiking with. He was constantly going out of his way to ensure we had the best possible experience. We will definitely be back.

We loved spending the Easter long weekend at Jila. Lovely big grassy and shady spots. Plenty of room. The Jila Easter Bunny (Phil) even thoughtfully dropped some Easter eggs at every camp. We will be back!

Good place to camp, no to far from Sydney. Toilet are clean and very peaceful.

The camp site was great-clean well set up and comfortable, and was a lovely area to stay in, lots of nice nature animals and other campers. Would highly recommend!

The river was safe for the kids. We stayed one night and the weather was lovely on the day we arrived and it was raining at night and the next morning. Lovely to listen to the rain while sleeping in a tent.

Tranquil private secluded bell tent- Ian is an amazing host- outstanding homemade gourmet pizza! Nothing too much trouble- Hike up the escarpment well worth the effort

We love the Glamping Tent with great matress. Recommendation to have 4WD due rough roads and downhill. Peaceful place with river to swim. Watchout with cows and sheeps in the land. They can took our foods. Make sure that you bring cooking equipments eg. kettle, plates, fork, and frying pan. No fridge so pls bring esky and coffee/tea. We did not bring it - we thought it was provided.

We had such a lovely experience glamping at Jila! The location was perfect, a very short walk to the front of the property to the beautiful Grose river where we spent lots of time swimming in the shallow water! The tents were very spacious and clean. The camp kitchen had bbq’s and sinks to wash up as well as a large picnic bench that was perfect spread out on! We did run into a small issue with the hot water but Phillip was incredibly responsive and it was fixed straight away. Highly highly recommend Jila if you’re looking for something close to Sydney but feels like you’re hours away! Thanks again for our stay!

Well located camping grounds next to the Grose Rivers - shallow running water - great way to cool down and relax. Recommend the Jila flash camp - 10 large tents set up in the round with a central fire pit and cooking facilities, toilets and showers nearby. Roomy tents - would highly recommend for a large group. Need to bring some shade cover in the height of summer and eye mask to for those who are light sensitive. Great value- would go again.

Amazing spot the kids loved the river and the paddles! Facilities were clean, the tents were clean and good quality for sleep. There were enough towels and blankets for everyone and there was a little light inside when we arrived although the battery didn’t last long. The cooking area is great and there is a hose nearby which is very handy. The showers didn’t have warm water. The toilets were clean and had soap and toilet roll. Definitely recommend!

2 nights at Jila Camp Grounds

Really peaceful, family friendly, spaced out campsite, nice spot as a base to the blue mountains. We stayed in the yurts, great fire pit, toilets and showers were great, and although we stayed at new year, it was quiet and calm! The river is the best thing about it for sure, lazy, clean and clear, shallow but a few spot deep enough for a proper swim, and lots of space for everyone. Dog friendly! Only thing I’d note is that even though it is 2 wheel drive friendly, if you have a very low car you might want to unload your heaviest passengers at the top as there are a few bumps on the way down!

Enjoyed the space and freedom of not being in top of other campers but not isolated. Nice spot for kids to swim and enjoy the outdoors. The check in and communication was great from Phil. Will definitely be back

My kids and I loved the flash camping! The presentation and facilities were top notch and the camp fire area at night was superb. The river was perfect for my 6 and 3 year old and we hung there the whole time. Will definitely by coming back. The perfect weekender away.

It was my first Glamping experience at Jila Camp, and it was just fantastic! The accommodation was very well arranged and the bathroom facilities were extremely clean and convenient to access. The river is very close to the Glamping area and my kids had an excellent time playing in the river. The river is on the shallow side and safe for kids to play around. Would definitely recommend to friends and family 10/10!
