2 nights at Noonameena - Sleep in the Bush

Easy access, all level had 22ft caravan in there with Plenty of space. Slight road noise from Hume hwy. you can find firewood in nearby bushes, chickens for kids to see. A little pricey but would stay again.

Very peaceful. Yes you can hear the highway traffic all hours but it’s not significant enough to worry you. Lovely hosts. The only negative is the lack of signage. I think the sites should be numbered or named and allocated. The pathways through the bush to the river should also be sign posted, not easy to navigate, i can see visitors getting lost . Would I come back? Definitely

My Family and friends loved staying at Jila campgrounds i would definitely recommend it to anybody wanting to go camping with family and friend's and I was amazed how close it is to sydney plus the many bonuses like toilets , stone firepits , and a soccer field will definitely be going back again

Weekend Trip to Colo River Hut

This is a beautiful spot for a group to take full advantage of excellent amenities (including a spotless hot water shower and toilet) for a relaxing break. We had a bit of rain on our trip, and the large roofed-in deck made an excellent shelter for our tents to sit under. The river access is best in the afternoon (steep and muddy bank during morning high tide)

Lovely settings, spacious and quiet. Beautiful river, clean, slow paced and just down the hill, and the sunrise above it is unforgettable. The host, Phillip, takes care of the place and visitors without being noticed by them, thanks. But, be warned - fences are charged to control cattle occasionally being allowed to graze, do not touch them (the fences I mean) or you would have a jolt as I did. Thanks Phillip, I will recommend your place to others.

One of the most beautiful campgrounds I’ve been to, surrounded by tall trees, grass and an amazing river. Massive areas with ample space for setting up and having a campfire. Easily in my top 3 list of campsites now.

What a great spot to take it easy, Dana was the best with a great welcome. What a wonderful place to camp. Walk to the River it does takes a little effort to get down there but worth it, and not far from Berrima to walk around the town and have lunch at the pub. Lots of fire wood you just have to look for it. Thanks again, we stayed 9 nights lots of star to see while sitting around a fire. We will be back as not for from Sydney.

Such an awesome spot! The property is beautiful and the communication was great. Felt like a proper escape from the city without having to go far. My two boys (10 and 7) had the best time — rock skimming, fishing, swimming, and of course sitting around the fire roasting marshmallows. We’ll definitely be back!

Great camping spot - close to Sydney but it didn’t feel like it when we were there. The river was great for the kids and we also enjoyed going for walks around the bush on the trails. Definitely highly recommend this place!

It was quiet and tucked out of the way of civilisation. Dana was very helpful in pointing out a great spot for us to camp on her property. Fire pits were available to use to minimise damage to the property.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful campsite! Surrounded by nature, it was the perfect peaceful getaway for our family. The grounds were well-maintained with plenty of space for kids to play and explore. The toilets were clean, which made the whole experience even more comfortable. Highly recommend for anyone looking to relax and reconnect in a stunning natural setting.

Nestled right up against the escarpment at an elevation of 450m, this high-end, off-grid 40 acre property effectively offers your own private slice of Macquarie Pass National Park - amazing views, giant cedar trees, fern forests, cascading waterfalls and palms surround. It feels remote but it's only 90 min from Sydney, 30 min to Kiama and just 15 min to the shops. The property also offers the only hiking path up to the top of the escarpment for some truly amazing views. As of September 2024, all the trails on the property have been massively upgraded and are passable with a 2WD car. If you're towing or it's wet we still recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles. We've just (mid December) added a spa half way up the driveway. It can be booked through the extras. We're not particularly price sensitive - until all those rate rises - but we are extremely value sensitive so we set out to make your stay extremely good value for your hard earned money. The land itself does most of the heavy lifting but also personal service and of course there's Lana to fall in love with. Note, Mellows Rd is 2.6km long and rises 400m - in parts the road is a 15 degree grade. It's all paved but narrow so if you are towing a large heavy load, it's going to strain your car.

While most of the property is covered by a variety of natural bushland, a small flat area of cleared land is perfect for recreational campers. The property has access to the Wingecarribee River to the south, a natural pool and large dam in the camping area. Other property features include commercial gardens, orchards and free range chicken coop as well as a homestead with surrounding gardens. There are also plenty of walking tracks on the property.
