Orange Grove was established in 1856 on the banks of the cylde River Nelligen. It is set on 40 acres nestled on the edge of the Village of Nelligen, (15min Walk to its cafe and pub) and 8km west of Batemans Bay (10mindrive). Our camp grounds are set up on the Clyde's banks, all able to support enough area and access for 2wd, 4wd, RV and Car Camper set ups. Orange Grove, has a small basic boat ramp (there are public ramps 2mins down the road). With a beach and pontoon, you are able to leave your boat in the river for the duration of your stay. Batemans Bay is 15min down stream, an easy ride to pick up items not found in Nelligen. Our camp ground has a covered area with BBQ Facilites, tables, chairs, Water, fire pit (used in under the correct conditions), a toilet (Bring own Toilet paper). We are pet friendly, however we do have wildlife on the property and livestock, so we ask that have full control and take responsibility of your pets. My friends and I (and our two dogs) had the best weekend camping at Clyde River at Ross and Lisa's property. The camping sites are very well kept, the areas nice and tidy, the space between campers is great too. Sites are flat so easy and suitable for setting up swags and tents. The toilet and shower facilities are very well clean and everything was provided. The location is perfect, we were able to get the boats in and out easily with the boat ramp on site. Highly recommend and we cant wait to come back!

2 nights at Orange Grove Farm

I am in two minds about leaving a review, as we want to keep this special location to ourselves, however; if you are down this way take some time to make your own opinion. We had two days at Orange Grove and didn't want to leave. The location is a perfect place to switch off and remove yourself from the world. We arrived as a group of two couples travelling with dogs in a large motorhome and caravan combo. Tryg and my mate said I am compensating for the size of the motorhome, but hey why not travel in comfort. Site access was ok for us after a little gardening on Tryg's approval so large vehicles can access without restriction. Everything is there; space abounds, impressive fire pit, water views, fish, toilet facility and well sheltered and ir is all yours. Local knowledge abounds, both from locals when walking the streets of Nelligen and from your host Tryg. Even more so when you loosen his tongue with a cold beverage. It is awesome to get a locals perspective and the vibe of what really makes a community and honest mateship of the Aussie spirit. Do yourself a favour and visit this part of the world as it is impressive. David

Lovely to wake up with mobs of roos around and its family friendly and more secure than free camping down the road.
