Enjoy the creek view by day and then watch the sun set to a sky full of stars by night. Don’t forget to bring some marshmallows to toast on your campfire! Australia is full of amazing landscapes which are a treasure to enjoy. We have an abundance of bird life, every so often spot a turtle and if your lucky we recently saw a platypus in the creek. The creek has ample room for fishing, swimming and even kayaking (season dependant). Take a walk along the creek and appreciate being outdoors. We have many attractions within our area. Coming up on the last Sunday of May is the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival, it is always a great weekend for all. There are many wineries in the area to wine & dine, Boat Mountain has some great bushwalks & lookouts and the Kilkivan to Kingaroy Rail Trail is great for those who enjoy a bike ride. Recently opened in Murgon is the fossil museum & fine art gallery, 55 Million Years Ago. On the website a quote states, “In the late 1980’s, fossils found near Boat Mountain just outside Murgon in Southern Queensland rocked the palaeontology world. 15 new fossil species discovered here were found to be 55 million years old, predating any other Eocene period fossils found in Australia by 20 million years.” Suited to all, make a day of it and visit 55 Million Years Ago in the morning, enjoy lunch at a local winery before heading to Boat Mountain to see where they found the fossils and enjoy the sunset. We are a busy working property and horse training facility. Our business consists of backgrounding cattle, growing and irrigating of cattle feed and lucerne, as well as making hay.
