Australia is full of amazing landscapes which are a treasure to enjoy. We have an abundance of bird life, every so often spot a turtle and if your lucky we recently saw a platypus in the creek. The creek has ample room for fishing, swimming and even kayaking (season dependant). Take a walk along the creek and appreciate being outdoors.
We have many attractions within our area. Coming up on the last Sunday of May is the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival, it is always a great weekend for all. There are many wineries in the area to wine & dine, Boat Mountain has some great bushwalks & lookouts and the Kilkivan to Kingaroy Rail Trail is great for those who enjoy a bike ride. Recently opened in Murgon is the fossil museum & fine art gallery, 55 Million Years Ago. On the website a quote states, “In the late 1980’s, fossils found near Boat Mountain just outside Murgon in Southern Queensland rocked the palaeontology world. 15 new fossil species discovered here were found to be 55 million years old, predating any other Eocene period fossils found in Australia by 20 million years.” Suited to all, make a day of it and visit 55 Million Years Ago in the morning, enjoy lunch at a local winery before heading to Boat Mountain to see where they found the fossils and enjoy the sunset.
We are a busy working property and horse training facility. Our business consists of backgrounding cattle, growing and irrigating of cattle feed and lucerne, as well as making hay. Our son owners and operates a horse training business on our property.

Nothing beats a couple of nights under the stars in a swag and the stars were incredible. It was very easy to find the location and it’s very handy that there is great reception as well. The facilities were lovely and clean and the bottle tree was perfect to set up in the shade with a good book. I was lucky enough to see an Echinda in the paddock as well. The campsite is carpeted with wildflowers that add a splash of colour and looking toward the dam in golden hour was beautiful. Perfect location to do several day trips to nearby national parks. I did Coomba Falls, the Paradise track at the Bunya Mountains and crows nest falls from this location. Watching the young foals frolic around in the nearby paddock was entertaining to watch as well.

We absolutely loved our stay at Tinara "The Glenn Creek Side" it was peaceful, quiet, tidy and a very relaxed and secluded area and atmosphere. You feel like you are the only people on the farm because the campsites are so private. We got to enjoy beautiful scenery while also watching their beautiful cattle grazing not far from our camp site. We had the pleasure of meeting Tamara and she was very welcoming and a great host. We also ordered firewood as there is a great fire pit at the camp site, we were impressed with the amount of fire wood in the bags for $15 each.
We took our Maremma with and she really enjoyed being walked around the beautiful farm.
We will definitely be staying at Tinara again! Thank you Quentin and Tamara for having us.

The grass could have been mowed…
We were camped beside Boonara Creek and saw cows, horses and a platypus in the creek…
Dean delivered wood for us at a cost of $15 which we burnt for the night..

Thanks Dean and Tracy for a relaxing weekend. It was great to see the abundant birdlife and healthy rikali and lungfish numbers in the creek, it must be a very healthy system. The site was well maintained and quiet. It was nice chatting with Dean when we arrived. Perfect for a quick trip away from the Sunshine Coast.

Fab stay @ Waverley Homestead, would highly recommend. We were lucky enough to have the entire place to ourselves, which made it very special - so quiet, and with stunning views over the paddocks, looking towards the distant mountains. Great for individual campers who like company, but would also be perfect for a small group of friends, as the campfire in the middle makes it great for socializing. Really enjoyed the company of Mikey - resident dog - who is such a sweetheart and hung with us until Gav came home to reclaim him. Gav is lovely - popped down to make sure we had all we needed, and we had a good chat, then he left us to enjoy the solitude. Awesome sunset, and although it was a super hot day, it gradually cooled down and we were able to have a wee campfire, which was magical. Stars were spectacular throughout the night and birdlife lovely to watch in the trees. Plenty of shade for us in our van and flat ground to park up on. Thanks for sharing your lovely land with us Gav & Andria, we'll be back. Melissa & Michael

I had a fabulous stay next to the billabong and creek with abundant birds and wildlife in a secluded, grassy location next to the water so my self and my dog could cool off in the heat. Tracey was an extremely friendly and helpful host who made me feel very welcome. I saw a huge lungfish, goannas and other lizards, snakes on the other side of the creek, Rakali (native water rats), a huge list of birds, including a pair of resident azure kingfishers and red backed fairy wrens. I am really looking forward to my next visit!

The beauty of Tinara is that you have totally private camping remote from any neighbouring campers.There are only three sites and they are large. There are nice walks around the property and you will have a peaceful stay with the cows and friendly horses for company. The Bunya Mountains with the lovely NP trails and coffee shop etc are only 45 minute drive away. Quentin and Tamara are most friendly and although a little tricky to find the property and campsites at first, Quentin’s directions are excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You do need to be self sufficient though and 4X4 is essential to access The Hill ( although easy enough). Communication with the owners was good and Telstra coverage is OK.

Absolutely stunning sunset views and nice and secluded. Took the advantage of the total fire ban and went to the bun pub for dinner. Awesome old pub with $25 steak night on Thursday nights. Very relaxing atmosphere with the sound of cows all around. Also a great show of stars at night.
Would be great for small groups 4-5 camps/ vans wanting to camp together with large communal fire out in the centre of the camp area. Look out for the resident magpie as he liked to swoop even sitting having your morning coffee. Friendly attentive host with delicious fresh eggs!

We set up camp in a shady, flat area next to and well above the flowing creek. It was a beautiful spot and the bird life spectacular! It was a short walk to the swimming hole and flying fox. This & the kayaks were great fun. The swimming hole was in a shady grove that provided a cool and relaxing spot to watch & relax!
There were three beautiful horses roaming free that were gentle & friendly too!
We can't wait to come back!!

Our hosts were welcoming and guided us to campsite and gave advice for where to eat in town. Behind us were a couple of beautiful horses, to the left some curious cows and in front an amazing sunset. Simple and relaxing camping and bonus to have a rustic and clean flushing toilet on site.

Great open space with plenty of room for a drive thru site or large group with a big fire pit and amazing sunsets.
Plenty to see around the area with the Bunya mountains up the road 20 minutes and the The Bun hotel five minutes away for a good feed and a cold beer with great service.
Gav and Andria were very helpful on arrival and left us to enjoy our stay.

We camped one night by the creek which was our first time using Hipcamps. It was a lovely peaceful site. Our contact with Tracey & directions made the experience easy. We chose to be close to the creek so four wheel drive was necessary to exit the site. Would stay again & recommend to others
