These are two 16 ft. Canvas tents here at the southern border of Tahoe National Forest. One has a King and the other has a Queen and a futon based in the Sierra foothills. We have solar lights and new beds to enjoy the most restful nights sleep in the woods. Our private outdoor shower has warm water and fun outdoor communal kitchen is wonderful for entertaining and sharing a meal. We have all of the kitchen utensils you would need, coffee maker, toaster, ice machine, small fridge to share with other guests pizza oven and we try to keep oils and spices fully stocked. The Kitchen is located right next to our veggie garden in between our two orchards. It is the hub of entertaining, for more of a private night the sites all have solar lights a battery lantern and a small table and chairs. You can bring one of our ice buckets to your site or ask for our camp stove we have one available to use if you reserve it and would like privacy.
We are based in between the middle fork of the Yuba river right where it meets up with Oregon Creek. If you like a long walk it is 2.5 miles down the dirt road to Oregon Creek and the middle fork of the Yuba. Driving takes 5 to 10 mins. The other direction is the largest lake in our county Bullards Bar Reservoir and Emerald Cove Marina. We are 1 mile down Marysville Rd. from a launch called dark day. There is a trailhead at the top of overflow boat parking for a public swimming hole on the lake.
On our property like anywhere in the woods there is an hour at sunset that you may have mosquitoes down near the sites. We have natural spray for that or fans in the kitchen. Off the path you may find poison oak in the thick of the woods. So please stay on the marked trails.

Perfect nature home away from home
Wonderful retreat with wonderful people!! Hosts went above and beyond to make us feel at home. It felt like staying with old friends from the moment we arrived. The whole property is a nature haven with practical and whimsical touches. The outdoor kitchen and outdoor shower were amazing!!
Outdoor living in california <3
Deja's farm, outdoor kitchen & patio, and glamping tent are a California dream. From twinkly lights to sweet eclectic details all around, it was a perfect place to land on our way to Downieville for mountain biking. We'll be back!
Deja’s spot is so wonderful. The outdoor kitchen is stocked and beautiful. The structures are all unique and the craftsmanship is stellar Our tent was clean, spacious, and comfortable. And it was so great to have such off-teh-hook swimming holes less than 10 minutes away!
This was such a great spot to stay close to the Yuba River! The communal kitchen was amazing and had everything we needed. The outdoor shower is luxurious! Highly recommend this place.
The farm is a magical oasis. We arrived to find they had just roasted a pig, which they were kind enough to let us try. It was ridiculously succulent. That said, the outdoor kitchen is legit; any gourmand would be thrilled to cook in it. The outdoor shower was also a slice of heaven. Deja and her family were so warm and hospitable. We had such a relaxing stay!
The right kind of glamping!
The communal energy on this property is truly amazing. Deja and her family are the kind of warm, inviting people that make you feel at home and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. They've thought of everything, from towels in the shower to fresh apples and clean wine glasses in the magical outdoor kitchen. This is a unique off-the-grid oasis. That said, if you're aren't in the mood to talk with others around the fire or bump into a few other campers in the communal kitchen, this might not be the secluded getaway you want. If you are in for an experience and want to glamp it up, don't miss this Hipcamp.
Can’t wait to return!
Deja and her family were very welcoming. The tent and composter bathrooms were exactly as described. The outdoor kitchen was to die for— tons of room even when the other campers were around. The pizza oven was lots of fun to learn how to use. We made memories around the fire in the evenings and explored the Sierra foothills during the day.
