At Edisto Beach Campground, the variety of palmetto trees and hanging Spanish moss may just take your breath away. Hike along the interpretive trails dotted with wetland plants and keep an eye out for some alligators or osprey along the way. Dip your toes into the Atlantic Ocean or boat around Big Bay Creek. Either way you slice it, Edisto Beach is your next playground for all outdoor attractions.

This is a good campground close to the beach and to Charleston. Not too expensive. However there are no true backcountry campsites, as they are all either pull in camping or it is a 4 minute walk to your campsite. The plants here are gorgeous though and the campground does have several hiking trails.
