Inundated by the near four-hundred-acre body of water, Guilford Lake is known for its pristine, well-populated fishing spots that sit silently amongst the lake’s still water. And, lucky enough for your social media followers, all of the area’s campsites are electrically-fed―so you can keep the low-battery notifications to a minimal.

I have camped here twice. In summer and in fall. It is a very nice campground and lake. Well maintained with clean restrooms and shower house. There is a short hiking path directly across from the campground that is nice. There is also playground equipment. If you get a spot on the lake side, there are docks in front of the sites where you can fish or just enjoy sitting by the lake. Registered boats are permitted on the water. It is not what I would call secluded as local residents homes can be seen across the lake as well as the sounds heard, but it is not bad. It has electricity, picnic tables and fire rings at each site with water spigots nearby. There is a camp host on site. I like the place and will camp there again in the future.
