There are very private old forest service trails leading directly into the Pisgah National Forest. To get to the cabin, it’s a 15 minute uphill hike. It’s important that you arrive before dark to check in. I can sometimes assist with my UTV to help transport supplies to the Summit. Parking is not available near the cabin; your vehicle can be left near the trailhead in good weather.

By far one of the best cabins I've stayed in North Carolina, it was super cozy for us and the pups not to mention the view was breathtaking. Our host Han was amazing provided us with fresh drinking water and assisted us with transportation up to the cabin since we didn't have a 4x4 vehicle, I recommend having a 4x4 vehicle but if not Hans will gladly assist with a smile.

ps. ask him how he transported all the wood and equipment to build the cabin up there.

It’s a very late reply; have been so busy up on the hill. Cliford and his partner were wonderful to host. His professional pictures helped much to promote the Summit Cabin. Big thumbs up 👍🏻 and my highest recommendations for photo shoots and hosting’s.

Wow, what a gem. Super secluded, beautiful cabin on a mountain. Perfect for couples with dogs. Hans was so pleasant and helpful.

All the necessities (Water, ice, cooking utensils, seasonings, towels) were provided. Hans helped us get all of our food and clothing up to the cabin.

You definitely need good hiking boots to get up and down the mountain. Totally worth it.

We definitely hope to come back. Perfect trip!

Abby’s crew (3 wonderful dogs and her man) were a delight to host. Had some issues with one gas burner but we could solve the matter and I seem to recall that the weather was a little off and on. The cabin was left in top condition and I give my highest recommendations for future hosting’s.

WOW - This was a great experience all around that blew our expectations out of the water. Hans, the host was an awesome guy - he was welcoming and more than happy to help out in any way with one quick message (there is full service, at least for AT&T). The cabin is amazingly constructed and the inside of both floors are completely finished with furniture and accessories. There is a battery unit to plug things into, USB or 110v. Bring all the hydration you'll need for the whole weeknd. The giant cooler located outside was a great fridge with a bag of ice in it for the food. Property is completely private and very peaceful. We look forward to coming back and bringing friends along. Would highly recommend this cabin for a wonderful weekend away!

Hans was the best host! Very helpful, patient, and kind. The hike up to this spot is NO JOKE. My friends and I expected a long trek, not the steep uphill slope we encountered. In Nikes, we slipped and slid as we tried to get up the hill. The rainy weather also had not been in our favor for that portion. Anyway, if you’re planning to stay here, wear hiking shoes. Not tennis shoes. Other than that, the views cannot be beat, the archery was fun, and the cabin is peaceful and perfect for a getaway !

Staying at the Summit Cabin was absolutely magical! The cabin itself is beautifully designed and the views are exceptional. Hans was an amazing host and made sure we were taken care of every night. This camping spot and experience far exceeded our expectations and we're already planning a return trip!

A few unexpected highlights for us:
-Great blankets, sheets, and pillows
-Beautiful framed artwork in the cabin
-Close to more secluded hiking trails and waterfalls

We can not express enough how amazing our stay was at the Summit Cabin! Hans was an exceptional host who along with his trusty UTV Betsy carried our belongings up the mountain for us. The walk was tough at first, think almost walking up a straight mountain. After a few treks up and down it gets easier. Hans is very knowledgeable about the mountain and his surroundings. He lead us to several trails. Our favorite lead to a beautiful waterfall. The water was so cold but refreshing at the same time. The cabin was incredibly stocked with a lot of everyday items, including cookware, clean towels, sheets and blankets. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived. Hans walked us through all the need to know things about the cabin. The views were exceptional and we can not wait to return in the fall!!!

Again my reply to Franklins stay is tardy due to a pretty hectic work schedule (I supposed to be retired :-)) Just so everyone is aware that Franklin and entourage were wonderful to host. Cabin was left in perfect condition. My highest recommendations for future hosting’s.

Very awesome secluded cabin high a top a mountain. Spectacular Views. The host, Hans was excellent and provided for our every need. Enjoyed exploring the area, having a campfire and grilling out on the provided BBQ Grill. The hike up the mountain to the cabin is a little treacherous and you must leave vehicle at bottom. Hans provides an off-road UTV to get you and your supplies to and from.

Justin and his crew were perfect guests. Just want everyone to know that. Cabin access can be a challenge especially in damp or wet conditions but together with my UTV Betsy we mastered the conditions so their stay became a great experience. My highest recommendations for Justin to any future host.
