It's astonishing that over five years after Charlotte C. in her comment offered some expert corrections to this listing, the mistakes are still here on this page. Come on, Hipcamp! I was the Caretaker for Garfield Ridge Campsite in 2015 and I will be there this summer (2016), too. There are some things wrong on this site about the campsite that are important for the protection of the Garfield Area. The activities at the site include Camping, Hiking, Wildlife Watching, and swimming 3 miles away.
Fires are NOT allowed and there is no grill- its bring your own cooking system. and there is NO picnic table.
I does cost $8 to stay here. The money is used to buy the bark I use to compost the toilet, and to pay the caretakers for our hard work.
