Nestled high atop the trees in the Clark Fork River Area, Gem Peak Lookout the perfect place to get back to nature! Explore over 400 miles of trails, fish, or simply come in the springtime to take in the wildflowers that blanket the hills surrounding the cabin. This is by far one of the coolest places I have stayed! Secluded on the top of Gem Peak, nothing beats the 360 degree view! Be prepared to climb many steps often, as the outhouse is located on the ground a ways away from the tower. Also, for the same purpose, don't forget headlamps and lanterns! The view of the night sky is unreal from the tower. I didn't want to leave! There are two separate single beds, table and chairs, and a counter space. Don't forget to sign the guestbook and to use the cleaning supplies to pick up after yourself for the next lucky person!
