Great spot! We only stayed for one night as we were passing through the area, wishing we could have stayed longer and explored the farm area more. Great fire pit built area, as well as a path to a private compost toilet. There is a nice family owned seafood place down the road and the property is not too far from Bass Harbor light which we hit at sunset.
Sooo lovely !!
such a cozy spot in the woods! Candace and Brendan were super friendly and helpful. there are other yurts/wigwams around but the site is private and quiet. the farm up the road was an added treat! we had such a great time here. would definitely come back !! thanks for a great couple of days!!
Great site, close to all the action
The campsite was nice, clean, and private, and had firewood already set aside for us. It's only about a half hour from the main parts of Acadia, so it had great access to all of the park and it was a quiet, secluded area. We got a little turned around with all the other sites, especially when it was dark outside, but we found the spot after a little wandering and re-reading the directions. Brendan and Candace were very responsive when we had questions, and having access to the bathhouse was welcome for a quick shower. The outhouse is an above ground structure with a half door.
The hip camp site was great. It was a 15- 30 minute drive to Acadia depending on the entrance. The site was private and spacious. There was lots of firewood on site for purchase. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Hammock swinging perfection
We had a great time staying here! We loved using the fire pit and the spot was great for viewing the night sky with the leaves gone. There were also great trees for hanging a tarp or hammock.
A nice site outside of acadia
The site is nice and flat with a good-sized fire pit and is located really close to the parking area for easy gear hauling from the car. The shower and outhouse are close to the site and clean. I never met Candace or Brendan over 4 days stay but they were responsive over text. Would recommend.
The campsite we stayed at was perfect! It was large, secluded and comfortable. Candace & Brendan had a lovely set up for the campsite with the firepit a stones throw away from the site itself. Next to the firepit was some seating they'd created which was just great. The outhouse was also a very short walk from the site.
We arrived pretty late at night and had some questions and Candace got back to be right away. The route directions as well as instructions were detailed and helped us a lot! Thank you for sharing your space! We hope to be back someday!
Nice spot of land for a weekend stay near Acadia. The camp site was closer to the host's rental property than I expected and is close to a path where it seemed there were other campers or Airbnb'ers moving through, so there wasn't much privacy. (Similar to what you might get with any typical campsite reservation.) There were also some noisy roosters/dogs/neighborhood kids. But, everything was very straightforward with camp wood and a nice pit toilet available, plus good directions and communication.
