There is NOTHING like being in the wilderness of this area for a good re-centering of the soul! We have found it to be a true blessing for our family, and we hope you can experience this blessing as we share this space with you. We feel certain you will not be disappointed with our beautiful river canyon. Our property is situated right on the middle fork Cosumnes river. The swimming is awesome and the stars at night will put you into a state of awe! In the area there are many family owned wineries in the area, most of them offering free tasting! It’s a short drive to Tahoe and the Marshall gold discovery site as well as the historic hangtown Placerville. We are happy to make suggestions for local hiking areas, like the Devil's Slide "Gorge" only a 15 minute drive but like a trip to mini Yosemite. The Caldor Fire was VERY close to our property and a back burn was initiated nearby the our house (literally 200' away!). Our property became a pivotal point of fighting the fire in our community known as the “Ant Hill Army”. Ask us about the story!

Campsite 6 is a “park at site” campsite, there is a log to divide the campsite from the others, But there is space to back into the campsite. The campsite is not recommended for campers nor motorhomes. Rooftop tents, camper vans, and car camping is ok. One could bring a camper and park at the site if also tent camping. But the layout isn’t ideal if just using a camper or motor home. While you can park at campsite 6, we have a log dividing the campsite from the parking spot for the campsite. If you’d like your campsite to be directly next to your vehicle/campervan/etc… then we would recommend campsites 2, 3, 4, 5, or 7. We recommend bringing a wagon if you have kids and extra gear to haul to the swim hole. Group Site 8 is in about 300’ or less from the river and about 300’ from the bathrooms and potable water source. Campsite 8 is at the lowest end of the meadow and is next to a large umbrella shaped Apple tree. This site is a dispersed campsite with a large flat area and a shaded area that borders the treeline, with a large number possible locations for tents. Rooftop tents and popup trailer accessible. I stayed at site 4. I was perfect for the two families (4 adults, 4 kids, plus a couple doggos). Site 4 is further away from the other sites. The site butts up to the river, however it’s not a main place to swim as it steep and the rockier part of the river. It’s a great white noise at night as the water is rushing. The communal watering spot was pretty epic. It’s a large area, sandy beach AND sandy water access. Doesn’t get rocky until you keep trekking up. The deepest part was just over 6’-0”. This was perfect for the kids (ages 2 to 11). Hands down I will be back!

This place is fantastic! Nice, private camp sites with both shade and sun in a beautiful, green environment with meadows, ferns, all kinds of trees, amazing rock outcroppings, and a clear view of stars at night. Plus, a clean bathroom within walking distance! Gorgeous, clear water with flecks of fools gold and crystals in the sand. Our three Labradors were in heaven swimming and running around, and we were just as happy, splashing around the swimming hole, lounging on the sand, and sitting by the campfire. We saw a tiny bit of poison oak, but not much (still, bring the Technu), and there were a million insideous little stickers that got caught in our dogs' fur, so glad we brought the Furminator, but otherwise, this was perfect. We will definitely be back!

By far the best campsite I have been to that’s not off grid! This place is beautiful. Camp site are spaced really nicely so you’re not on top of each other. They are flat and well maintained and the water… crystal clear, shallow and not freezing! I’m coming back!

Hidden Gem and Paradise for the fam

Stop looking! This is your sign to book this place! We stayed at Cabin 2 to celebrate my hubby’s birthday with our dogs! It has everything that we need! We would definitely back!Cabin 2 has electricity and has privacy even if it’s close to Cabin 1 but just FYI, it is beside the chicken coop and chickens do come out few times daily if you are bringing pets!We brought leash and leash line for our dogs and it worked out perfectly! It is close to the toilet and water source and they are also always clean. The cabin is kinda of in a higher level so make sure to bring a wagon that you can wheel down to the river. It is not too far but if you are bringing stuff and food, it will be nice to have a wagon. All of these notes and tips are given by the owners anyways so make sure to read! Lol! The river and swimming hole are amazing! This is a paradise! We stayed by the river most of the time and me, my hubby and our dogs had so much fun and had a blast just swimming, paddleboarding and being under the sun and the cool water! The river is not too deep or there are lots of spots that are not deep so it will be great if u have kids and/or dogs. The owners are also nice and they have the sweetest kids and the sweetest dog! They are always so respectful, friendly and cheerful. The owner even gave us some fruits from their trees. It’s such a quiet, clean, beautiful and perfect place for a quiet, private getaway. Please don’t ruin it and clean up after yourself if you will be visiting! Lol!

Walk-in Tent Site 9
Site #9 was large enough for two tents and had shade in the morning and afternoon. It was pretty sunny around noon. It’s very private and a short minute walk to the river. It was not too far to “walk-in” but added some work to setting up and packing up. The bathroom and faucet are about 3-5 minute walk. The river “beach” is perfect for small kids. I highly recommend and hope to return soon.

Very beautiful camping site, we stayed at site #9 it was the closest to the river but a bit of a walk down so I recommended bringing a wagon, the little steep hill will get ya after a few walks back to your car. But still very convenient and short walk. The river water was magical, so clear and fresh, offering enough shade even when very hot and sunny. The owners are very responsive and kind. Noelle’s place is the perfect Summer getaway. It offers easy camping with amazing views of the foothills of the Sierra and Consumnes River access is magical. Walking down to the River at evening you can see hundreds of butterflies feeding on sand bugs. Watching them fly around my daughter was out of a storybook. A memory I’ll never forget. The swimming holes they have here are out of a fairy tail. My kids have the best Summer ever here and its something we look forward too now each time we come.

Property was beautiful. Restroom was not always stocked with toilet paper. Price was too high. Being woken up by the roosters early in the morning was unpleasant.

Noleen’s land was a beautiful memorable trip that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys being peaceful! At camp site 5 expect to have access to two beautiful bodies of water, one thats more shallow with rocks that’s good for dipping your feet in, and the other one sandy and a bit more deep that you can float on or even swim in! The host was so nice!

It was our first time camping here and everyone absolutely loved it. We did get a little lost but host was extremely responsive and helpful! We stayed at campsite #5 The water is super close by and perfect level for the kids to enjoy. Campsites are a little close to each other but it wasn’t an issue for us. Family is already making plans for our next trip here definitely recommend!

Beautiful spot, I couldn’t get over the smell in the air by the river, I don’t know what tree was sending of the sweet fragrance but it was lovely. the butterfly’s and birds was special , the sound of the river, just beautiful. We had the perfect weather. Other campers were cool. We all had dogs and they had as much fun as we did. One of my favorite places.

This campsite was great. Only an hour from where we live and our site was right next to the river. Bathrooms were clean and the sites were big and spaced far enough apart. Would go back!

We recently stayed at sites 5 and 6 and had a great experience. These two sites were perfect for a group because they are right next to each other, while site 6 still offered a nice sense of privacy. Site 6 was also closer to the beach area where the kids could swim and play, which made everything super convenient. Site 5 had more space where the kids could kick their ball and play without getting in anyone else’s space. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and well cared for. The family running the campsite was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even better. We truly enjoyed our time here and will definitely come back again!

My group of 7 had a great time at Tent site 3! It was so peaceful. The site was a little bit smaller than it appears in the photos, but we were still able to fit 4 tents comfortably. 5 or more tents might start to feel a little tight. The river was so pretty as well. I will definitely come back to this Hipcamp!

Absolutely loved every minute of it. The owners are as friendly as they come and their property is a dream to stay on. The cabin was very comfortable and the bathrooms were well maintained and convenient. The sound of flowing river and numerous birds was so pleasant and relaxing. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a quick getaway.

Amazing spot! Close to the swimming hole, nestled under the trees, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Noleen, the owner, was very attentive with communication and made the entire experience smooth and easy from start to finish. We had such a great time and can’t wait to come back when the weather is warm enough to swim!

We had a blast at Noleen’s! We had the whole place to ourselves which was great because the spots are a tad close to each other (like all campgrounds), so very happy to have our solitude and privacy! 2 days of beauty! The swim hole is beautiful, we had a great time splashing around with the pup! Part of the way through splashing we were nervous about a big river otter that showed up in the water though, so please be aware and cautious. It seems to have a hole in the bank to the right of the rocks (Grew up in MT, know 2 people who were attacked by river otters)! It was really fun to sit back and watch once we knew it was there! Magical :) This place was very nice, very quiet, Noleen was very accommodating and replied quickly to a question over text! We very much enjoyed staying here! Absolutely, book it and see for yourself! :)

Noleens land is so beautiful and their family and pup were sweet and welcoming! I got lost looking for the bathroom because I was reading the map wrong and her daughter was kind enough to walk me there. The campsites are so close to the river. It’s not even any effort. They’re also large and spaced out. It’s true, the well water really does taste amazing I was honestly shocked haha. The river had quite a strong Current, but me and the dogs found a great place to swim, which looks like one of the main entrances to the swimming hole. The river is accessible, and though there are no showers, I generally just boiled a pot of water and made a makeshift shower by parking my car doors near a large tree. Their flushing toilet was incredibly clean But honestly, the magic was the stars and the river. And if you forgot anything like bug spray which we did, the dollar general is literally right there lol and they have everything! Thanks so much for letting us stay. We loved it. See you in the summer.
