Elect to upscale your camping experience by renting our Glamping style container home. This 9' x 20 ' tiny home has everything you need and just about everything you could want.
A freshly minted 20-foot container home nestled off the main drag into Austin TX from Bastrop. It's out of the way enough for a quiet evening under the stars, but close enough to jet to the airport, Circuit of the Americas or McKinney Roughs or McKinney Falls. Lost Pines Zip Line is nearby and anything ACL, SXSW or Zilker Park is also just a half-hour away.
This is a private residence on top of a hill on the property and includes patio access for an evening dinner and a chimenea or fire pit conversation. You'll have plenty of sky to enjoy - we turn the big light off at night so you can catch the stars. A solar light lit path will get you into the container, but we'll leave a porch light on in case you're arriving late.
You have the lay of the land on the hill, which includes the fire pit and the seating area in the yard. There is a HipCamp site in the back third of the property (tent camping) and a moderate hiking trail behind the main house so feel free to walk back and enjoy a stroll or grab a chair in our main yard.
Location, location, location. This is the best of both worlds. We can enjoy the sophistication and culture of the city and also the old town charm of a small-town farmer's market.
There are many natural areas in this region. We can direct you to the visitor's center or our own collection of pamphlets and info tucked inside the drawer to the right of the sink.
Please let us know if you'd like to bring your pet. We collect $20 pet cleaning fee.

Adorable place! Peaceful yet still close to Austin! Owners are super nice and welcoming! Very clean and had everything we needed We really enjoyed our stay!
Very well built and everything was operating like new! I really enjoyed the outdoor space and outdoor furniture for lounging outdoors. Also, the hosts were very reposive and accommodating.
Chose this place over a downtown hotel for the privacy and quiet, and got both. Drive downtown during weekday was a breeze. Clean, orderly, and great communication with hosts.
We had a fantastic stay! Although it was too short, the container was cozy, clean, and cool in this Texas heat. I’d definitely stay here again. Very close to Bastrop and the Colorado River!
The container was absolutely gorgeous! Loved the bed, the appliances, and the shower. You will need to bring your own towels, soaps, and bath rags though. It’s also nice to be able to park right next to where you’re staying so you know your vehicle is safe. The little walking trail was cool. The morning yoga class was great- make sure to coordinate ahead of time as to where the class will take place.
We had a great stay! The hosts were available but we definitely had privacy. Making s'mores on the chiminea was tops and my son had an awesome time using the outdoor shower.
It was a great place and Carrie and Matt were fantastic. I would definitely recommend for a romantic glamping or staycation trip.
Bamboo II is a comfortable, clean and extraordinary lodging option. Nature lovers will enjoy the proximity to outstanding parks. And downtown Bastrop, with its charm and delicious dining options, is just a short drive away. Carrie & Matt are thoughtful and friendly hosts who made us feel very welcome. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway, this place is an excellent choice.
