30 minutes (17miles) North of Nashville, Tennessee. There are wild Turkeys and Deer that roam the property. We also have some free range Guineas and Peacocks which is why we ask that all dogs, while welcome, remained leashed at all times. Great place to get away and enjoy nature, take a walk on our trails through the woods, listen to the birds and watch the sunset over the pasture while cooking s’mores on the fire, yet not that far from Nashville! Perfect for enjoying nature and/or visiting Nashville.
This site is for self contained RVs only, there are full hook ups but there are no restroom facilities. Check in is between 2 pm and sundown.
Limit of 2 vehicles and 2 pets.
When you request to book just let us know how many people will be camping, how many pets you will be bringing with you and what you are camping in, travel trailer or motor home, and what length in feet it is. Thank you!
Since this is a natural area of fields and woods, along with farm animals and wildlife you may encounter insects. We recommend bringing insect repellent for mosquitoes and ticks and making sure that your pets are protected also.

This is a perfect campsite, and it is set up for your RV. You will love the space. Ditte is a great host.
This was the best camp we have stayed at so far on our trip around the country. Caution: ticks are extremely terrible there (July 2022).
The Private RV Site at Maple Shade Farm was everything that was advertised and more. The hosts, were friendly, proactive, and easily accessible. They welcomed us personally, anticipated our needs, and left a delicious care package. Thank you, Ditte and Stan, for sharing your beautiful property, nature trails, and fruit. Some day I hope to have a trumpet vine bush trained like the one next to the picnic table.
This was our second visit to Maple Shade Farm and it was just as good as the first trip! Ditte and Stan have covered all the bases to make camping on their land a fun and memorable experience. We will be back again!
This has become our favorite spot! Ditte and Stan are friendly, gracious hosts and have provided a quiet, shady spot for those lucky enough to find themselves here. The pad is gravel, level and clean. Hookups are easy to access. The screen house is so wonderful! Even on hot days (it was mid 90s when we were there last) running a fan inside the screen house makes it a great place to spend a quiet day. The towns of Greenbrier and Springfield are nearby and have everything you need. If you want to drive into Nashville and catch all that goes on there, it's only a short drive until you are in Music City USA! Can't recommend this place highly enough.
Maple Shade is an absolute gem! We stayed for several nights while we explored Nashville and the surrounding area. It was the end of June and very warm but this lovely shaded spot was an oasis to return to after the city. Ditte has set everything up so perfectly and added lots of personal touches to make the property feel like home. We spent lots of mornings on the porch with our dogs just enjoying the quiet country atmosphere. There are also several walking trails with picturesque viewpoints. We highly recommend Maple Shade and would love to stay here again. We camped with a 40-foot motor home with a tow vehicle. Hook-ups worked perfectly and we had plenty of room.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the farm. Ditte was helpful and so kind throughout our stay. We loved seeing all the animals and the peace and tranquillity are wonderful. We want to come back soon!

Maple Shade Farms was great! The screened room was comfortable in the early morning & early evening even during the heat wave. The fenced area was a bonus since we travel with 3 larger dogs. It gave them a space they could walk around & not have to be leashed. Stan & Ditte we’re great hosts! They helped us get our trailer backed in & left a goody bag with homemade jam, trail map, dog treats, & “good to know” info. In the screened room there was even info about the surrounding small towns, as well as good suggestions for local eateries. If you go to Springfield, try Public House! We loved being able to hear the sounds of nature instead of other campers! Don’t forget to try your hand at corn hole, too.
Everything was nice and clean and beautiful. Ditte was so sweet and helpful. The kids loved camping there!
