Boggan's Oasis is in the SE corner of Washington state, right on the breathtaking Grande Ronde River. Visitors can arrive by driving to the bottom of Rattlesnake Grade (WA-129), or the bottom of Buford Grade (OR-3). These two curvacious roads are extremely popular rides for motorcyclists and bicyclists nationally. Visitors may also arrive by water (rafts, driftboats, jetboats, kayaks, etc) coming downriver from Oregon, or upriver from the Snake River (WA/ID). Many other unpaved roads will lead guests to our canyon, which creates great opportunities for off-road vehicle adventures! The Grande Ronde River, which drains much of northeast Oregon's Union and Wallowa counties, is fed by snowpack in the Elkhorn Mountains. The Wallowa River, a major tributary to the Grande Ronde, headwaters in the Wallowa Mountains, mostly within the Eagle Cap Wilderness. Twenty-two miles from Boggan's Oasis, the Grande Ronde River flows into the mighty Snake River. The river is surrounded by steep, rugged canyon walls that rise 3000 to 4000 feet above the river level. Dense conifer forests blend into grassy slopes set off by scattered conifer "stringers." Called "The Land of Winding Waters" by Native Americans, the river is home to rainbow trout, dolly varden, whitefish, squawfish, suckers, bass, and steelhead. Rocky Mountain elk, mule deer, whitetail deer, bighorn sheep, bear, bald eagles, and a variety of smaller animals and birds can be seen daily. And yes, there are rattlesnakes! Fishing, hunting, hiking, all kinds of boating/floating, offroad vehicle riding, and animal/bird watching are beyond expectations in this area. Seasonally, guests can also successfully gather a variety of mushrooms and berries while on one of the many nearby hiking trails. Many of these short walks also lead to incredible, far-reaching views of the Blue Mountains, Wenaha wildlife sanctuary, Hells Canyon, and the tri-state area. In the hotter summer months, the swimming hole below the Boggan's Bridge is a popular way to cool off. Boggan's Oasis also offers fishing trips, float trips, shuttles, and a FULL restaurant! Cabin was great, Clean, Cozy, and inviting. I do wish they provided a better bbq or cookware, but we had a feeling so came prepared. The host was awesome and did everything she could to make sure we were comfortable. It was a really nice stay! Bogans should carry bait for steelhead as well ;)

Louis and Tia were awesome hosts and the cabin (I was switched to cabin 3) was perfect for what I needed. I was out for a trip to fish the Grande Ronde for fall steelhead. There was plenty of easy access even when towing a trailer/raft to get around to the front of the cabin, as well as "raft parking" where I could leave my rig since it had a trailer. The property is well kept and has a fun vibe. The cabin was cozy and had three beds (two singles and a double). I'd say bring some silverware, cups, kitchenware, etc., if you plan to cook or make coffee. I planned on doing some camp-cooking on the front porch so had those supplies anyways, otherwise the restaurant has everything you'd need. The restaurant was awesome and the crew there was VERY accommodating even when I rolled in five minutes prior to closing to get a burger. In general the vibe is super chill and the folks are super nice. Would I recommend this place to others and will I be back? You can bet on it. Thanks for a great weekend Louis and Tia!

We had a magical time at Brittany's. It was quaint and refined and quirky and fun. Good to talk with the manager whose mother the garden center is named after. Loved the ducks. And the town center checked all the boxes. Amazing wine-bar, restaurant and shops.

What a wonderful place Grady Sr. and Kathleen have created on their beautiful farm. The Glamping tent was perfect for exploring the Joseph area. The nights were quiet and the bed was the most comfortable we've ever slept in. The outdoor shower was the perfect way to relax after a day on the trails. Very private and sitting on the front deck watching the sunsets over the mountains will be memorable. We will surely be back when in Joseph. Thanx Grady Sr and Kathleen. So great meeting you both. Nice and clean. AC works well and it was quite hot. The emu was fun. If youbarrive after dark, habe a flashlight to navigate the stairs. The solar lights are fun but they arent on tue stairs. Restaurant may close early.

If you’re even thinking about booking the treehouse, do it. The bed was insanely comfortable (like, slept-better-than-I-do-at-home comfortable). Woke up to the soft morning light and trees swaying outside the window like a real-life screensaver. The cedar soaking tub? Unreal. Perfect for stargazing, unwinding, or just pretending you're in a fancy spa tucked in the woods. Every little detail felt intentional, cozy, and peaceful. A total reset. Highly recommend if you’re craving quiet, nature, or just a place that feels like a deep breath. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. You should too.

We loved our stay in the glamping tent at Evan’s Farm! Kathy and Grady were so welcoming and helped us find our way even in the dark! We woke up to the most stunning view of the farm with the mountains behind and ponies there to greet us! We got an insider tip from Grady on an amazing hike, went paddle boarding at Wallowa Lake and ended the night with a fire and s’mores at the farm! Kathy and Grady have thought of and provided everything to make it the easiest glamping trip and the bed lived up to the hype! We were so cozy and comfortable. Thank you for hosting us and we can’t wait to come back and stay longer!

Weekend Trip to Sweet Dreams in the Garden

Would definitely recommend to anyone! There are two little ducks that roam the grounds that are so cute and the greenhouses are lovely. Being among all the plants is very peaceful. The camper is sectioned off and private and there’s a fire-pit, a grille, and a blackstone. Definitely a luxury Hipcamp stay with very friendly hosts.

Lovely stay!!! Brittany and Doug were both so welcoming and kind and showed me around the property. The nursery is sweet and open to guests for wandering, and the location is right in town - it was nice to go for a little walk and tour the quaint area. I stayed on the last night of a road trip and I was thrilled to have a place to organize and regroup as well as a hot shower and a grill to make dinner on. Will definitely stay again! My only regret is not picking up any plants from the nursery

Absolutely love staying at Boggans Oasis. The property is beautiful and the cabins are very cozy and comfortable. Incredible views for our cabin that included sheep, mule deer, elk and of course the Grande Ronde. The perfect place to unwind and get away. Tia and her family are amazing and took very good care of us.
