Hi my name is Christina, your on-site host, and I am so excited to have the opportunity to host you at our one-of-a-kind glamping site! We're located 40 min from Kanab, 50 min from Zion National Park and 2 hours from Grand Canyon North Rim, Bryce Canyon National Park and Page, AZ.
We're on 7 acres of land (all accomodations are on ~2 acres of the land) in a very rural town but please note, we do have neighbors on both sides- one of which have cows, roosters and horses. We have 3 glamping tents and 1 tiny cabin on-site (all of which are available for booking) along with a few shared spaces amongst guests: 2 covered grilling areas, a centralized fire pit and an indoor bathhouse. We are currently in the process of adding 2 more accommodations, a silo and a cave, that will be available by Summer 2024.
Each glamping tent and cabin is about 30 yards apart from one another. We provide all linens and towels for guests, AC/Heater units and hot/cold water year-round.
We're located at the border of Utah and Arizona in Cane Beds, AZ. It's a very isolated area with 2-3 dining options and a large full-sized grocery store (Bee's Marketplace) less than 10 minutes away! Cane Beds, Arizona has beautiful sandstone formations & attractions such as nearby Water Canyon Trailhead, Gooseberry Mesa and Maxwell Park.
The terrain is very similar to Zion National Park. This region is especially known for hiking, mountain biking and ATV trails.
We're also conveniently located 40 min from Kanab, which is a town full of trails and hikes with a ton of great stops on the way (Paria Townsite, The Toadstools, Wirepass to Buckskin Gulch, The Wave, Grand Staircase Escalante).

One of our best features is the solitude and exposure to Mother Nature. Here, you won't find quiet hours, disruptive campers, or noise and light pollution. These sites provide the ultimate experience for those willing to go off the grid, off the main road, and into the backcountry. As the crow flies, the property is just over three miles from the east boundary of Zion National Park. This land is where our family calls home and has been in the Lundgren family for four generations. It is still used for agriculture purposes today. In early June, you may see sheep grazing in the nearby meadows and mid-to-late summer, cows roam the area adding to the uniqueness of the experience.
This part of the country is home to textured red rock, blue skies, and numerous desert flora and fauna, making it an ideal spot for photographers. Some of the animals you might spot include owl, bear, mountain lion, bobcat, deer, coyote, turkey, snakes, lizards, as well as many different types of birds. There is very little light pollution making the night sky dazzling and unforgettable.

Like most cowboy cabins, it does not have its own plumbing, but our famously clean private restrooms with showers are just a 50ft walk.

We have an outdoor fire pit where you can sit and melt into the night after a day of hiking. Or, On cold nights, hanging out by the fireplace in your own space, with a cup of hot cocoa.
The space
This is a whole, all inclusive space to yourself in my daylight basement apartment. There is, games, books, a TV, kitchen and fireplace. Cleaned and disinfected after every guest.
Guest access
We are on five acres and you are more than welcome to meander everywhere. There are lots of trees, benches and a tire swing. You are also welcome to say hi to the chickens and the horses, the goose and her entourage of ducks just beware the “Bad Rooster” he is mean and prays on the weak. Everyone else will all treat you like a rockstar if you bring them food. The wire around the horse pen is hot. So step inside, with the horses to say hi to them. They love carrots and apples.
Other things to note
We do have a washer and dryer on the premises. But they are not in the guest space. If you need a load or two done, I am more than happy to oblige.
We are on a septic system and anything besides toilet paper thrown down the toilet, Is bad, so please refrain from throwing in feminine hygiene products, cotton balls or paper towels down the toilet.
Decorative pillows are just for decoration. I only wash them once a season, so use the other pillows for sleeping.
It is helpful but in no way expected if you’d like to strip your beds at the end of your stay. I hope you have so much fun staying with us!

I really loved my time at the Gypsy King cottage! What a beautiful and well thought out space to stay in. Russell was a very good host and communicated promptly when I reached out to him. The cabin and the property is so peaceful absolutely gorgeous! I hope to come back and stay for longer next time. I didn’t have the time to try the sauna. My dog loved the fenced in yard and made good friends with the neighbors adorable blue and red heelers!

Weekend Trip to Gypsy’s Cottage
Russell’s cottage matches the photos, clean while also cozy. The cob structure is really beautiful, and fire wood provided was so nice. A wood fired sauna is a treat and an outdoor bath, looking towards the Big Dipper was very special! This is a precious place to stay, and there’s lots of incredible hiking, climbing, and mountain biking with an hour drive. Also the neighbor dogs came to visit which we loved. Thank you Russell and hope to visit again sometime.

1 night at Cedar Canyon RV Retreat
The drive to this place is just wonderful! Easy check in with clear instructions. Bathrooms are super clean! Cute little outdoor community space that's next to the game room. We only stayed a night but wished it was for 2. We played card games and watched a movie then passed out! The night sky was starry with a bit of clouds and the full moon lighting up the night! Loved this place!

3 nights at Gypsy’s Cottage
All I can say is wow! Our experience staying at this cottage was everything we could have wanted it to be and more. The views cannot be overstated, the bed was so cozy, and the cottage itself was so unique and homey. We were sad when it came time to leave! During our stay, we weren’t sure if we wanted to go to the parks or just stay at the cottage. Russell is an incredible host. I messaged him twice with questions, and both times, he answered within a few minutes. You definitely feel that you’re in the country, but town is just ten minutes away for food and groceries. I very highly recommend staying here!

Such an under the radar gem of a place close by Zion with its own slot Canyon locally and the sauna in the back with the outdoor bathtub to cool off in afterwards is a huge plus.
You can tell the owner is a contractor because of the care and design with which he built this house himself. It really doesn't come across in the pictures how nicely finished it is.

2 nights at Camp Land Beyond Zion
This was a wonderful stay. They had clean amenities including a hot shower and flush toilets. The site was well lit and had plenty of seating so we could always find a good place to hang out in the shade. The wind was fierce here in the afternoons, but it helped make the heat not feel as bad. The Glamp Tent was cozy, had great WiFi connection and outlets which we weren’t expecting but was a great plus. Couldn’t recommend this place enough! There were quite a few dogs and roosters a few miles out that were loud throughout the night, so I would recommend earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.

The first night of a 3,500-mile month-long journey was spent at Quail Creek Campground and it was a great way to prepare for the road ahead. I recommend some sort of shade if you don't plan on being on the lake during the day, at least until the sun drops behind the canyon wall. Then the colors of the surrounding buttes and mountains really come to life. The nighttime view of the sky is relatively free of light pollution, so if stargazing is your thing this is a great place to spend the night. Bonus: there's a great store for camping gear in nearby Hurricane, in case you need or forgot something (as is usually the case with me).

We just left there after camping for 4 days and 3 nights. We were pleasantly surprised by how lovely it was. Make sure you have some form of shade, because even though the patio tables are shaded, the sun still beats down on you. The drinking water tasted lovely, and the local rental place has ice and wood available to purchase. In the event you forget something, Hurricane, Utah is literally a hop, skip, and a jump down the road; and has multiple gas stations and a Walmart. The only negative I will say about this place is the tent pad size. On various sites it states the tent pads are 12x14. Our tent is that size, and I can say after looking at the sites not all of them would fit our tent. Overall excellent experience!
