Weekend Trip to Teardrop Arch B&B

A beautiful location and a wonderful proprietress made our stay super special. The cabin was cozy and comfy and the guest bathroom we used was spotless and well-stocked. She had eggs and cereal for us if we wanted breakfast and coffee was ready when we got up. Ilene is also an artist and had lovely jewelry and other items for sale.

Irene was a wonderful host. The accommodations are comfortable and clean. We woke up to sunrise over monument valley from the door of our lodging. Stunning views, clean comfortable room, friendly and kind host. I will stay here again and recommend it to everyone. P.S. check out the crafts Irene makes, she is an artist.

Great stay and excellent launching point for monument valley and surrounding area. Clean and comfy, bathrooms were perfect. Really sweet cat on the property too. Some nice walking areas surrounding property that the dogs lived. Would recommend and stay again!

Die Zufahrt ist leicht zu finden. Es geht jedoch über roten Sand und die Strasse ist leicht schief. Wir wurden herzlich Willkommen geheissen! Solch eine Gastfreundschaft habe ich noch selten erlebt. Wir waren 3 Tage dort und der Abschied ist uns nicht leicht gefallen. Wir kommen eines Tages wieder. Natur pur und sehr authentisch! Wir waren über die Gastfreundschaft tief berührt.

We loved staying two nights at the Navajo owned Teardrop Arch Bed and Breakfast. Ilene was a gracious host, the cabin was very comfy, and the views were amazing! We were just a very short distance to the Navajo National Monument. On both mornings we were able to watch an incredible sunrise across the Monument. The hosts were very friendly and made us feel at home. We loved the very friendly cat and dogs!

We loved our stay at Tear Drop Arch B'n'B. We only booked one night but timed it well as we got to see a magic sunset followed shortly thereafter by a harvest moon rising. We stayed in the cabin. It's small but comfy with an awesome view. As the TDAB info says, the cabin has no bathroom/toilet or running water. You can use the shower/toilet inside Ilene's house or the outhouse. We used the latter during the night so we didn't disturb Ilene. My only complaint (which I voiced to Ilene) was that the outhouse faced the wrong way to take best advantage of the views! Ilene provides a good range of options for your DIY breakfast inside the house (after which you can do your own washing up). The 3 friendly dogs took turns to come visit around sunset. No shoes were taken :) TDAB is basic but good, especially that view, but may not be suitable for those wanting a higher level of conveniences and comfort. It ain't White Lotus. We'd happily visit again.

We had a wonderful stay at Tear Drop Arch B&B. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming — even their cats made us feel at home. Before our arrival, we mentioned that we wanted to have a barbecue, and they kindly prepared the fuel for us in advance. The room was very clean, and breakfast was excellent. The location is perfect, just a short drive to Monument Valley Tribal Park. A tip for future guests: don’t rely on Google Maps for directions — Apple Maps works just fine.

Die Kommunikation virab über Hipcamp lief nicht perfekt. Man sollte sich eine App runterladen, was aber nicht möglich war. Letztlich war das auch überhaupt nicht nötig. Man bekommt vorab eine Wegbeschreibung, die relativ eindeutig ist. Das Haupthaus der Besitzer ist allerdings nicht klar gekennzeichnet. Man wohnt in einer sehr einfachen aber doch schönen kleinen Hütte mit einem einzigartigen Blick auf das Monnument Valley. Was vielleicht etwas ungewohnt ist, dass man Küche und Badezimmer im Hause des Besitzers nutzt und für kurze Zeit somit ein kleiner Teil der Familie ist. Aber Ilenes, Kinder und Katze sind sehr nett. Auch Nachbars Hund ist sehr liebesbedürftig. Morgens konnten wir uns dann ein Frühstück mit Flakes, Toast und Eiern zubereiten.

Ilene was an amazing and a very hospitable host. She really took care of us , and has an amazing property with a wonderful view. Cabin is comfy and has air conditioning. She also has a great selection of home made jewelry, which we loved hearing about and even bought some. Would definitely love to stay here , if we make it back to Monument Valley.

Beauty beyond words

This unique location is well worth the journey…The loop is very primitive so an off road vehicle is best. We did the upgraded tour & it was worth it! Amazing, Beauty beyond words!

Monument Valley is amazing!

Damazing place, definitely worth visiting. We did a sunset tour with Tribal Tours from the View hotel and it was great.

Es macht wirklich sehr viel Spaß mit dem Auto durch das Valley zu fahren. Wenn man vorsichtig ist kann man auch problemlos mit einem Mietwagen da durchfahren. Es ist nur sehr staubig, aber toll

Monument valley

Its nice to be around the rocks of monument valley. The road for the scenic drive is very bumpy so you have to go on a (expensive) tour (or have to have a vehicle that can handle this).

Monument Valley is terrific

We had a wonderful 3 hour sunset tour with a Navajo guide through Monument Valley. I would highly recommend going there.

Nice campground with great location in the wilderness, very close to the Monument Valley park entrance and a perfect spot for star gazing. The campground could be much better for the price - drinking water more accessible (there is a hose in the host’s garden with two big dogs that were barking at us so we decided not to go there initially, eventually there became friendlier), more private sites, solar lamps, wind protection etc. We had a nice stay overall.
