Electric power is run by a large Yeti battery for all your charging needs . Lots of solar powered lights and string lights around the trees for a wonderful ambience in the evenings. Our extras include firewood at 10/bundle,as well as homemade cookies, breads, fresh eggs, muffins, and even cupcakes or cakes can be ordered if you are celebrating a special day. Just get in touch a week before trip to let me know exactly what to bake for you. We can also provide some simple meals upon request. The cabin is a work in progress at this time, but we hope to post new photos soon!

Quarter Spring Farm is located in Liberty, TN on the western edge of the Cumberland Plateau. It comprises 63 acres of wooded ridges and hollows with exceptional hiking and distinct landscape features. Smith Fork Creek, which feeds Center Hill Lake, is visible from the campsite. Quarter Spring Farm’s history is murky and still being discovered. The house is over 100 years old. There are stone property walls that may predate the civil war. We believe this site was a Mississippian period settlement because of the large amount of artifacts we have found. Please note: there is no electricity at the dome. There will be a battery with a light and the option to charge your phone. There is no parking at the dome. The walk is uphill and takes about 5 minutes or so. This is still a tent, the dome is not insulated and is not 100% sealed. Bugs do get inside from time to time. I will also provide you with water for cleaning and at least a gallon to drink. Just let me know if you need more. If you can get here before it gets dark, that is the best. If you can’t, that’s ok, we’ll just be hiking in the dark. Luckily I know my way around pretty good.

The Property: Located north of Cookeville in the rolling hills and farmland, our property is on Spring Creek, a state scenic river. Situated between two waterfalls and featuring over half a mile of river frontage to explore. Float, fish and relax listening to the cascading water. Perfect for bird watchers- blue and green herons, ospreys, hawks, bald eagles and more. You may spot the creek critters- minks, beavers, and otters. Various types of bass, craw dad's and minnows are in the creek. We operate similar to a state park. We are open to the public from 10am-7pm, peak season. We have other listings that are spaced so each of our guests has privacy. Please see aerial photo for an overview. We sometimes have small events (birthday parties, ect) at the pavilion. Please feel free to message us first, if you would like to see if there are any events during your stay. There are 2 restrooms centrally located at the pavilion. One bathroom has a shower with hot water, soap, shampoo/conditioner included. The restrooms are shared with our other listings. There are USB and regular outlets in the pavilion and WiFi. During warm season the outdoor kitchen is available as well. We also rent out a Suite which is located above the pavilion. Quiet hours are 10pm-8am. Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed and picked up after. Please note there is a gun range 2 hollers away and depending on the season, it can be heard from our property. Tent in the Trees Listing: Your tent site is built above the trail and overlooking the creek. The tent is equipped with a queen bed, linens, extra blankets & essential cooking gear. There is a fire pit with grill and griddles for cooking over wood or charcoal. Really, all you need is clothes, food and drink! Primitive Camp Site: The rustic camp site is DIY. Nestled on a sprawling 40 acre farm just 15 miles from downtown Nashville, this cozy cabin is a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature's beauty. At the front of the property you will find horses in the paddocks as well as chickens, mini donkeys, a sheep, a pig, mini Highland cows, and dwarf Nigerian goats, all within the barnyard. A spring fed creek runs along the front of the property by the road and there is a stocked one acre pond near the main home. Weekend Trip to Beech Hollow Hideout

The hideout was the perfect spot for my husband and I to celebrate his birthday and have a weekend of relaxation and meditation. Though the hike up was EXTREME in terms of steepness, it was well worth it. The hideout was cozy, comfortable and we loved seeing all the notes and things people have left over the years. Truly a wonderful experience.

This place is a must see. Left feeling inspired to SIMPLIFY, as William would say. I think there are very few people living the off grid lifestyle while also making it beautiful. Experience the fruits of their labor for a night or two, and bring some of that energy back to the rest of the world. We will all be better for it.

1 night at Beech Hollow Hideout

This place is exactly what I needed to recharge in nature. I stayed there to take a break from the high-stress period of life I am going through. It was the best decision I made. The land is so beautiful. Staying at and around the hut for 24 hours was like being hugged the whole time. There is a beautiful trail around the land that was stunning, the view of the hills was great, and seeing signs of spring was so joyful. I had beautiful conversations with William. He showed me around his art gallery and all the beautiful pieces he has made. It was truly inspirational to see how living a simple life is so rewarding and motivated me to continue pursing living a simple life that’s in tune with nature. No matter how much I will describe my stay, one needs to experience this land and camp for themselves to see the beauty, magic, and whimsy it has to offer. Thank you William and everyone that created this magical and healing space!

Weekend Trip to Historic Log Cabin

This place was magical. You sleep in what was the original kitchen on the homestead, complete with a big rock fireplace, which you are welcome to use. There is also a corn crib and a one room schoolhouse on the property along with the original log cabin. Keith was the perfect host.

William was an incredibly kind and thoughtful host. The cabin itself is everything we hoped it would be, complete with wood stove, comfortable loft, and fresh spring water to drink. Furthermore, there’s a wonderful 1.5 mile circuit around the property which was perfect for hiking. Lovely creek flowing throughout. Will very likely be returning to this spot! Thank you, William

Weekend Trip to Beech Hollow Hideout

I had a great time with my 4 year old son! Upon arriving we hiked up to see what gear was available, before bringing up any of our own , and I left about 80% of what I brought along in my vehicle (I tend to overpack). All I needed was our bag with a change of clothes and our small cooler with milk and eggs to make pancakes. With water, blankets, and all cooking essentials provided, you could almost walk up with nothing but yourself and whatever food you’d like to cook (there is ramen, pancake mix, syrup, tea, and a few other things up there left behind by previous guests. (Bring paper plates to use for food but also kindling for the fire) I loved using the wood stove, it makes you feel like you’re living in another time; and it’s just one more aspect of getting away from any semblance of city life. The temp outside at night was about 40 degrees. I had filled up the wood stove one last time around 8pm and it was almost too hot in the loft, but by 4am I was cold. I had to make another fire so we could get another couple hours of sleep. If you have dog allergies, this isn’t the place for you as rocket and Beue (two amazing hound like dogs) will be your guide, but they will also expect payment via sausages. Finally, a great host named William! He was friendly and made sure we had all we needed. On the morning of our last day he even took my boy on a four wheeler ride around the property and I think it unlocked a core memory. We will be back soon! Donovan and Arlo

William has it going on ! He makes amazing art, has cool goats, and dogs. The stay in the little cabin was awesome. The views from the cabin are amazing aswell. Theirs also a 1.5 mile hiking trail on the property. The out house was super nice. Everything on the property is hand built. Ask him if he has anything cool for sale, he has more than art! I’ll definitely be visiting again soon!

It was such a relaxing night! We slept well. Learning the history of the land was very cool. Our dogs loved the cabin and running around the property. Keith has taken great care of the property and done it justice. We will definitely come back.

The dome itself is cozy while being secluded. I loved being able to see the sunset. Perhaps not a universal experience, but we were escorted to the dome by a baby goat, and that was delightful. The views of the mountains make the stay pretty magical

It was very peaceful at Helga's cabin. It's just a sweet, simple space to be quiet and enjoy some alone time with my dog. It was such a treat to be able to talk with Helga in the yard. I wish it had been warmer to sit on the porch and enjoy my coffee. Bad timing in weather (it was 20 degrees!), I would have loved to sit on the porch to drink my coffee. I also would have loved to have more time to chat with Helga. Hopefully there will be a next time!

Weekend Trip to Quarter Spring Farm

My sons and I had an awesome winter weekend camp out at the farm! The dome was really cozy and Heather made sure we had everything we needed. We felt right at home from the moment we parked our car until we said our goodbyes on Sunday morning. The property was perfect for exploring during the day and it was quite peaceful at night. The farm animals, especially the goats, were really cool. We even got to be there to welcome a new baby goat into the world! 10/10 recommend this place!

The cabin and land are a beautiful invitation to stillness and time with self~ just what I was looking for. The energy of love and community in the space is potent and reminded of “trail magic” with all the art and tokens of wisdom left behind by friends.
