Fantastic place! Can’t wait to come back. It was perfectly warm and comfortable in the cabin even with snow outside. Darryl’s systems were intuitive and easy to use. Peaceful Getaway on Beautiful Green Lake 🌿
We loved our stay at this cozy cabin on Green Lake! The cabin was spotless, comfortable, and perfect for our family. The hosts thought of everything — from a welcoming coffee and snack basket to fire pits already prepped for us. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake, walking the peaceful paths, and relaxing under the stars at night. The property is absolutely beautiful and well cared for. A wonderful mix of comfort and nature — we can’t wait to come back!

We really loved staying at the Tiny house (cabin). My 3 year old son didn't want to leave. This was our 1st time camping at an off grid cabin and it was a cool experience. Everything inside the cabin worked. The lights, gas stove, wood stove and the water pump. Also, 1st time using a composting toilet. It worked out well. Outside, there's a fire pit, some chairs, picnic table, gas grill and a charcoal grill. We got to meet Darryl and Linda, and they were very welcoming.

Cabin and amenities were clean and as depicted. We were comfortable as a family of four at the cabin and campground. We enjoyed having the fire pit and chairs (we didn’t find matches but brought our own). The weather didn’t cooperate but the dock and kayaks were really neat and we wish we had stayed an extra day. We thought the grounds and chapel were great and we anticipate coming back again :)

This was the perfect getaway! The property is beautiful, the camper was cozy even on a chilly night, and Allison has the best energy. She gave me pro-tips on starting a campfire which lasted for hours. As a city girl, the stargazing was amazing. Allison also offered great suggestions on where to bike and explore. Right by the kettle moraines. Multiple beds to sleep multiple people. Very relaxing property. Owner is very accommodating to personal needs. She brought me down a sticky bun and made me dinner upon my request. I was hiking the souther kettles ice age sections and wanted to end my trip somewhere comfortable. Would stay here again if I am in the area and don’t feel like camping.

Spent two nights with my wife and daughter. We loved it! Great views. Beautiful land to explore. Much better than a tent and it doesn't cost much more. We rode out the storms that flooded Milwaukee and were nice and dry. Endless firewood. Decent size fridge. The awning pictured is no longer there. Hosts were very nice but gave us our space. I highly recommend.

Mauthe Lake Campground sits within the Kettle Moraine State Forest-Northern Unit, the fifth largest forest in WI covering 30,000+ acres of glacial features. Fascinating Wisconsin history with many outdoor activities for all seasons can be found in this woodsy paradise.
Mauthe Lake has a fishing pier and swimming beach, and if you bring your doggo they are welcome to splash around in the non-motorized boat landing. You can jump on the Ice Age Trail from here for a hike to the Parnell Tower or those with two wheels can cruise the 6.5 miles to Long Lake on the Lake to Lake Bike Trail. Single-track mountain biking is available at New Fane.

Hiking boots, your dog, bicycle, kayak, fishing pole, and as always a good book for the campfire
