Est. 1966, the West Fork Sports Club has been a special place for multiple generations of both local community members and people from across the country. Nestled in between two valleys with 3,500 feet of stream front property on the West Fork of the Kickapoo, we truly have one of the most unique campgrounds you'll ever visit. Having avoided glacial drift during the last ice age, the Driftless area boast beautiful valleys, bluffs and rolling hills that you won't find anywhere well in Wisconsin.
We are an Environmental Conservation Club always accepting new members. A temporary membership is included in camping fees and goes toward environmental conservation work and maintaining grounds, free wifi, etc. Our 20 acre property boast 3,500 feet of stream-front class 1 trout fishing on the West Fork of the Kickapoo (a top 100 trout stream in the US). Our entire stretch of stream is fully improved and excellent to fish. We have a healthy native brown trout population. We work with a local school science program to raise and stock brook trout every year. We have resident Sandhill Cranes, Bald Eagles, Oriels, Willow Fly Catchers, Hummingbirds and many other avian species.
Nestled between two valleys, we frequently have stunning sunsets. We are far enough way from light pollution to easily see the Milky Way Galaxy on a clear night. The star gazing is amazing and if you keep your eyes up at night, you're pretty much guaranteed to see a shooting star, if not multiple. The West Fork Sport Club is truly a special campground.
We're a short 15 minute drive from Viroqua which has a lot of great local shops, the Driftless Café (Owned and operated by Wisconsin Foodie host Luke Zahm) and a fantastic farmer's market. We're 25 minutes from Wild Cat Mountain which has extensive hiking trails. There are also two great vineyards within 15 minutes. Even on a rainy day, you will have plenty of fun options.

We have a small herd of dairy cows, 50 dairy/meat goats, a horse named Willow and mule named Molly, a couple pigs or chickens in the summer, lots of cats. We specialize in goats for meat. Grazing girls roam 30 acres of pasture close to camping. Our goats are very friendly. We are currently not milking goats. We sell eggs and meat from our farm store.
We have a spring fed 3 acre pond to paddle around if the water level is high enough. Swimming not recommended. Primitive tent and camper sites available. We welcome horses, bring your own fence. Trails on farm for walking or riding and close to Hartman Creek State Park trails. Dogs are okay, but must be on a leash for the safety of our livestock. Our on site camper offers a bathroom, no shower. Gas generator to run electricity is included for lights and basic appliances. Bring your own water containers, available to fill at the farm. Camp Shin-Go-Beek is a youth summer camp located in central Wisconsin. When we're not running summer camp, we open the property up to Hipcampers. We have multiple large campsites for tent camping. The property is located on 2 quiet lakes, with great opportunities for swimming, fishing, and boating. The swimming area has a great beach and a diving raft (depending on the season). We also have a large dining hall for indoor activities, and several outdoor program areas. We are just south of the Chain-o-lakes and Waupaca, so there's plenty to do a short drive away.

The site is a nice little gem of a property.
The camping site offers two ways into the property so setting up on either side is good. 30 foot rig should make it.
There is a public boat landing / Park (swings, bathroom, park benches) down the property path, across street, 500 yards.
The actual camp site comes in two flavors, one perfect for myself and my dog everything right there already setup, with outdoor rug, picnic bench, bench, log bench, and loads of firewood you will have to process.
One bigger area that could accommodate 6-8 that is just a massive expansion of the small space. Site is fairly heavily wooded.
There are two local properties, one 100yds, one 300 yards, bordering the property.
This site is primitive but not remote.
Pet friendly, no road traffic or people traffic to distract pets. Plenty for my puppy to explore when he’s not sleeping in the sun.
The property is clean, undergrowth is perfect, neighbors must be seasonal or weekenders, just an overall sweet piece of land begging for a cabin.
I believe the owner allows winter camping at this site as well (big plus for my fellow insane campers).
Owner was friendly, and responsive (5 star).

We adored our stay at Elysian View Farm. The view is indeed spectacular, especially at sunset, and the rural surroundings, both agricultural and natural are stunning. But even more beautiful, for us, was the warmth, kindness, and generosity of our hosts, Christine and Dave. They made us feel special and cared about, helped us find a beautiful fishing spot, and treated us like family. We are honored and blessed to have been their guests.

We had a wonderful stay at Echo Valley for a father–son getaway. The cabin was warm and cozy, and the wood-fired stove created the perfect atmosphere after a day exploring the Driftless hills. We played guitar, sketched in our notebooks, cooked good food, and enjoyed the quiet together. We especially appreciated the proprietors’ thoughtful focus on sustainability. Lakeside Cozy Camp was exactly as describe, flat, easy to access, and you get the whole acre to yourself.
We tent camped in the back of my pickup, but the ground would have been comfortable too since it’s mostly sand. We had a small fire, walked around the property, and loved being right across from the lake, even walking out on the ice to chat with ice fishermen. Very quiet, private, and pet-friendly, with park bathrooms conveniently across the street, perfect for a simple camping spot in nature.

We loved staying at the Spring Cabin at Echo Valley Farm. The space was so welcoming and everyone there was so helpful and kind. It has been a very beautiful experience! The silence, the clay cabin, the wood stove, the sunlight, the slow pace of life, but above all the warmth and affection of Dena and her family, I felt at home!

We were really happy to get to sleep test a Road Toad, and Cary’s tour of the Camp Inns and the factory was awesome. Campsite and fire rings great, even pre-raked the area for us so there weren’t leaves near fire. Loved having a hot shower available before returning to spaces full of other humans.
On our walk at the Wildlife Refuge, we saw trumpeter swans and sandhill cranes 🙂
There is some highway noise and there are some lights , for those who are sensitive to either, but we still had lots of stars on our first night!

We had a great time in the Straw Clay Cabin! It was clean, cozy and comfortable. We really enjoyed this unique cabin, including the woodland animals that are built in to the walls, and also having some information available in the cabin about how it was constructed. We also enjoyed hiking around property and seeing the chickens and sheep wandering around! Overall a great stay, we'd be happy to come back.

The location of the accomodation has views in almost all directions and includes natural light. The main area is very comfortable for the stay with plenty of indoor and outdoor table space with seats.

Weekend Trip to Echo Valley Farm
Echo Valley Farm is absolutely beautiful, and Maggie's Cabin was just right for what we were looking for! Dena was wonderful - kind and helpful and willing to accommodate a scheduling mistake on my part. The cabin itself was cozy and warm, and the farm was beautiful - rolling hills, grazing sheep, and forests in the distance. Echo Valley Farm is just right for a trip to get away from the demands of daily life and slow down a bit!
