Sleep under the stars while listening to the river run while staying on a working farm! During the summer months watch our vegetables grow and the pickers pick! The winter months you'll enjoy a sea of green as our cover crop takes over the field.
You can cool off in the river or check out the surrounding Pisgah National Forest. Dogs on leashes are welcome and owner is responsible for cleaning up after pet.
The farm provides a portable toilet but no other amenities. Campfires may be restricted, so check local regulations. This is a working farm, so please be respectful of the crops and workers and keep dogs on leashes. Fishing is NOT allowed on the river unless you have booked a trip with one of our guides. Please note, if it’s rainy the roads will be muddy and 4-wheel-drive vehicles are the best option.
Head 4 miles east to the town of Mills River for restaurants, stores, and services. You can find hiking, biking, and horseback-riding trails within a short bike or car ride in Pisgah National Forest. Chimney Rock State Park is 25 miles east and offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountain scenery. Or perhaps go for a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Coweeta Creek Campground is a charming small "boutique" campground nestled along Coweeta Creek in the heart of an Otto rural neighborhood. Each RV site is gravel, shaded, and sits along the peaceful Coweeta Creek. The campground property has a large field for games (kickball, soccer, volleyball), as well as a flat 1/4 mile loop which you can view our mini homestead farm. We have chickens, bees, vegetable gardens, and a small fruit orchard. Turkey Foot Trail is a 1/2 mile trail that takes you through the wooded area to the peak of the property.
The campground is only 15 minutes from Franklin, NC and 20 minutes from Clayton, GA with plenty of shopping/restaurants. Once you are at the campground you won't want to leave the beauty of the creek!
Strong Wifi is available at all sites. Network password will be provided before arrival.
Property History: Coweeta Creek Campground WAS a 20 site, thriving, family/church oriented campground from the 1970's that was later sold, then neglected. My family purchased in 2022 and opened a few camping sites for a more family friendly, intimate setting.
*Please send us a message if you are interested in renting out the entire property for family reunions, birthdays, or other events. There is potential for 10 sites with water/electricity along the creek, but we don't advertise it!

I wonder if when standing on the sprawling in upstate South Carolina, just a short hour trip from Greenville, Ed and Kitty Land heard a small still voice say, “if you build it, they will come.” While there isn't a baseball field on the property, that's about all that is lacking. Chattooga Belle Farm began as an event building set on acres with a small seasonal retail store. Soon people found their way to the soon-to-be full-fledged farm and they felt it; that feeling that you've found a very special place. Peaceful, majestic and unlike any other, Chattooga Belle Farm is quite possibly the perfect place for any event and most certainly an ideal place to pledge your heart and life to another.
Since the Lands opened their doors in 2010 they have come. There have been families, couples, groups, the media and fruit pickers who have all visited the farm; and they return year after year. Having been written up countless times across the southeast, US and more recently featured on The Today Show, the farm just keeps growing and getting better. With a history of growing sweet juicy apples, the soil in this part of the world has proven to be excellent for peaches, muscadines, scuppernongs, and blueberries. The farm also grows exotic fruits like persimmons, paw paws, Asian pears, figs, and more!
The landscape is picturesque and the mountain views are truly breathtaking in every direction. The farm hosts farm to table dinners that sell out year after year. Their U-Pick fruit opportunities evolve throughout the season with something always coming in from early summer through fall. A list of available fruit is updated often on their website, upcoming events and information about cabin rentals on Horseshoe Lake.
The recent addition of a distillery on the farm means the fruit is grown, fermented, distilled and bottled on the farm. The distillery is open year round Monday – Saturday. ged in oak barrels and aged to produce some of the finest liquors made in these mountains.
The farm store is complete with fresh produce (in season), canned jams, jellies and bottled ciders. Grass-fed, natural, antibiotic-free Black Angus beef is sold in the store. The cattle are raised on pasture which produces some of the healthiest beef you can buy. Using only natural, humane and environmentally sustainable practices, the Lands and their staff raise beef as nature intended. Bringing the best to your family has never been easier.
Belle's Bistro at Chattooga Belle Farm serves salads, sandwiches, burgers and soups made with the freshest ingredients possible. The bistro is open for lunch Tuesday – Sunday from April – October. Their menu includes Certified South Carolina Grown food which makes for an outstanding menu, also which can be viewed on chattoogabellefarm.com.
When it comes to weddings, Chattooga Belle Farm has it all! With all-inclusive packages that offer rental items, catering, a wedding coordinator, photographer, flowers, music, bar service and even the wedding cake. Campsites are adjacent to the French Broad River. Excellent fishing and boating. It is heavily populated by deer and other wildlife. For this reason, dogs must be kept on a leash.
Please note that due to the campground being in low-lying land, the drive in is subject to being slick and muddy, 4WD is required. Message us with any questions.
Due to the property proximity to the river and situated in floodway, the sites are subject to flooding during heavy rain events. Voluntary and/or mandatory evacuation may be necessary during any reservation due to high waters or forecast for high water events. If evacuation is necessary, unused portions of reservation will be refunded.
Campers are advised to be self-sufficient with water and shower facilities. We do provide a port a potty and firewood is for sale on site (Venmo, PayPal or cash). IF YOU ARE CAMPING WITH A RV OR TRAILER, PLEASE CONTACT US TO DISCUSS A SITE. All sites can accommodate smaller RV camper units. However, larger RV's have limited site availability.

The detached 144 sq ft shared bath house provides all the facilities, as well as towels and basic bathing necessities for yurt stays only. Lie on the heated mattress pad with soft linens and watch the stars sail across the clear dome as you drift off to sleep to dream of the day's adventures. Nestled up to the Great Smoky Mountains National park, this property is unique in everything it offers. Riverside on the renowned fly fishing river, the Tuckasegee River, or ridge top on Cullowhee Mountain, elevation 3850'. There are improved camp sites, yurts, or free range camping and hiking. The views are spectacular, wherever you decide to locate on the property. We implement " Leave no trace" rules and welcome respectful 4wd access to the entire mountain. All walks of life love the outdoors...

Peace and privacy await you on ouWe are still cler farm, pasture and woods, this working herb farm is a haven for rest and exploring. The Sites are situated far enough from each other to allow for privacy. Our land was originally where the Cherokee grew their medicine with Mt. Pisgah looking over us.
Please be aware we are not completely cleared up after Hurricane Helene so we are limiting cars to 2 per site. There is parking about a mile away, or we can fit a 2 cars per site . If this is an issue please contact me to discuss. Also note we look a little different. The campsites are fine but the creek has changed its banks and the driving path moved a little. Please drive slowly on driveway and grounds.
Drones are only allowed on our property and only in daylight hours and must be discussed with us prior.
Our farm is Organic and we minimize the amount of chemicals used on it out of respect to the land. The creek has clean water, although we provide well water for the humans.
Situated 20 minutes from Asheville and 2 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, we are close to civilization and far from the everyday hustle and bustle.
This is a great place to unwind in nature. We will soon be adding Forest Bathing.
The frogs eat most of the mosquitos and the fireflies will provide the nightly entertainment from May till August.

DuPont Bike Retreat is located 1/4 mile from the Fawn Lake Access area into DuPont State Forest. The DBR is 37 acres and has a pond with a dock and numerous camping sites available. The property used to hold Glass Feather Studio, which was a glass art studio and is now Glass Feather Lodge. The mountain view from the indoor porch is amazing and there are several places to relax and enjoy this view. There is an outdoor shower and bike wash station behind the lodge and two indoor bathrooms (one with shower) off the porch. The lower Pond Area of the property has a port-a-john near the pond. Starter bundles of firewood are included, and additional can usually be purchased on-site. Come enjoy the forest straight from your campsite!

Perfectly situated just 3 miles to the entrance of Pisgah Forest, 25 minutes to DuPont, five minutes to downtown Brevard, fifteen from Ashville airport and 30 minutes to downtown Asheville .
***Central potable water hookup, NO water hookup at sites. Even though the site states "Water Hookup", it's actually a central fill-up station. The way this appears through the platform is confusing, we know but it's a HipCamp glitch that we have asked them to address.
*****No arrivals after 10:00pm. We're available to answer questions and provide assistance between the hours of 7:00am-10:00pm.
** Overall length of more than 50' will not be able to make the turns on the property. ie. if your tow behind is 30' and truck is 22' you will will not be able to make the turns

Site was great and lots of room as usual! Grass was mowed. Scott left a grill grate so we could cook over the fire. Location to trails at Dupont is supur convienent. Also the new shower is great with nice hot water!

We enjoyed camping at Riverbend. Chad was quick to reply to messages. The site was level and an easy in and out for our 27 foot camper. Beautiful view of the river. Good directions and the sign made it easy to find the campground. Will definitely be back.

We stayed here for 5 nights with our kids and dogs in our pop up camper and everyone loved it! The creek is amazing and great to explore--its not too fast and shallow enough to wade in. If you're visiting the area from out of town, it's very convenient to many local towns and attractions. We made frequent trips to Franklin, Clayton, and a number of waterfalls. In the evenings, the kids chased fireflies and we saw a lot of whitetail deer. Melissa and Adam were responsive and helpful. They have firewood, honey, and eggs for sale on site. Looking forward to a visit in the fall!

This is the coolest campground I have ever been on. BEAUTIFUL water!!! The owner/host was so friendly and helpful. Toilets and showers available which is always a plus. Some people were catching trout in multiple spots on the creek that runs through the property. I want to come back so bad and would have stayed longer if I could have.

We were in RV site 2 for two nights. Great 30 Amp hookup & water with lovely view of the river. Porto potty was fine. Nice sink outside for washing hands, doing dishes. We hung hammocks down in the trees near the water and cooked burgers on the grill. Our two dogs also felt welcome. Chad has done a terrific job making the campground well outfitted and comfortable.

We really enjoyed our weekend in this spot. They met us at the front of their property for an escort to our spot. There was a concern if we could make the sharp turn necessary to get to this private site. With big green, we had no problem getting our overlander trailer in position. They had donkeys, ducks, cows, and cats. The place had a summer camp feel with the bunk houses, common area fire pits, and the bathhouse that had great water pressure in the hot showers - a welcome convenience with all the damp air and rain that came in as we explored Hendersonville. Like I said before, our spot was very private and just a short walk to the bathhouse. There are plenty of other camp spots on their property too. Ray and Shannon were very nice and very helpful. The grounds were very well kept. Will return in the future as we need to explore Hendo and surrounding area more for our 828Vibes . com

Easy in, easy out! Convenient to both Asheville and Waynesville and if I'm being honest, Waynesville is more fun! I was at site #4 which is as close to the road as I want to be, but it is also on the river bend (hence "Riverbend") and I was able to catch a few fish! Thanks for the hospitality, Chad!

This was a lovely place to stay. It rained almost the whole time we were there and we still had a great time! Hopping in the creek after a full day of playing baseball was nothing short of dreamy.
Nice big spot, could space our tents out so we weren’t on top of each other.
Definitely a bare-bones BYO spot, but the camp description does a good job laying that out before you go. The porta potty was definitely appreciated.

Great host and pretty nice site! We have a huge tent, so I’d prefer a bigger area next time, but that is no fault of the hosts! Clean restrooms and a beautiful location! Only negatives were site size (the host set up a prefect site, it’s a huge tent issue), the weather (it happened to rain all weekend), and some highway noise (not a lot and nothing the host could do about it). Would definitely stay here again!
