I wonder if when standing on the sprawling in upstate South Carolina, just a short hour trip from Greenville, Ed and Kitty Land heard a small still voice say, “if you build it, they will come.” While there isn't a baseball field on the property, that's about all that is lacking. Chattooga Belle Farm began as an event building set on acres with a small seasonal retail store. Soon people found their way to the soon-to-be full-fledged farm and they felt it; that feeling that you've found a very special place. Peaceful, majestic and unlike any other, Chattooga Belle Farm is quite possibly the perfect place for any event and most certainly an ideal place to pledge your heart and life to another.
Since the Lands opened their doors in 2010 they have come. There have been families, couples, groups, the media and fruit pickers who have all visited the farm; and they return year after year. Having been written up countless times across the southeast, US and more recently featured on The Today Show, the farm just keeps growing and getting better. With a history of growing sweet juicy apples, the soil in this part of the world has proven to be excellent for peaches, muscadines, scuppernongs, and blueberries. The farm also grows exotic fruits like persimmons, paw paws, Asian pears, figs, and more!
The landscape is picturesque and the mountain views are truly breathtaking in every direction. The farm hosts farm to table dinners that sell out year after year. Their U-Pick fruit opportunities evolve throughout the season with something always coming in from early summer through fall. A list of available fruit is updated often on their website, upcoming events and information about cabin rentals on Horseshoe Lake.
The recent addition of a distillery on the farm means the fruit is grown, fermented, distilled and bottled on the farm. The distillery is open year round Monday – Saturday. ged in oak barrels and aged to produce some of the finest liquors made in these mountains.
The farm store is complete with fresh produce (in season), canned jams, jellies and bottled ciders. Grass-fed, natural, antibiotic-free Black Angus beef is sold in the store. The cattle are raised on pasture which produces some of the healthiest beef you can buy. Using only natural, humane and environmentally sustainable practices, the Lands and their staff raise beef as nature intended. Bringing the best to your family has never been easier.
Belle's Bistro at Chattooga Belle Farm serves salads, sandwiches, burgers and soups made with the freshest ingredients possible. The bistro is open for lunch Tuesday – Sunday from April – October. Their menu includes Certified South Carolina Grown food which makes for an outstanding menu, also which can be viewed on chattoogabellefarm.com.
When it comes to weddings, Chattooga Belle Farm has it all! With all-inclusive packages that offer rental items, catering, a wedding coordinator, photographer, flowers, music, bar service and even the wedding cake. This serene campsite borders native trout water and an an additional 45 private acres that have been passed down in the Brittain family since the 1790s. Sleep under the stars while listening to the river run while staying on a working farm! During the summer months watch our vegetables grow and the pickers pick! The winter months you'll enjoy a sea of green as our cover crop takes over the field.
You can cool off in the river or check out the surrounding Pisgah National Forest. Dogs on leashes are welcome and owner is responsible for cleaning up after pet.
The farm provides a portable toilet but no other amenities. Campfires may be restricted, so check local regulations. This is a working farm, so please be respectful of the crops and workers and keep dogs on leashes. Fishing is NOT allowed on the river unless you have booked a trip with one of our guides. Please note, if it’s rainy the roads will be muddy and 4-wheel-drive vehicles are the best option.
Head 4 miles east to the town of Mills River for restaurants, stores, and services. You can find hiking, biking, and horseback-riding trails within a short bike or car ride in Pisgah National Forest. Chimney Rock State Park is 25 miles east and offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountain scenery. Or perhaps go for a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Please drive slowly on driveway and grounds.
Drones are only allowed on our property and only in daylight hours and must be discussed with us prior.
Our farm is Organic and we minimize the amount of chemicals used on it out of respect to the land. The creek has clean water, although we provide well water for the humans.
Situated 20 minutes from Asheville and 2 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, we are close to civilization and far from the everyday hustle and bustle.
This is a great place to unwind in nature. We will soon be adding Forest Bathing.
The frogs eat most of the mosquitos and the fireflies will provide the nightly entertainment from May till August.

Our property is also near the Greenville and Asheville airports, providing easy access for travelers. For biking enthusiasts, you can leave straight from our property and hop onto the Swamp Rabbit biking Trail, which offers miles of scenic routes all the way to downtown Greenville!
We offer two 50/30 amp hookups and large parking areas designed to accommodate class "A" motorhomes with ease. Additionally, a dump station is available for your convenience.

Loved our stay at the Bend. It was very quiet & private. No issue with noise or disturbance (even on a Saturday evening). Our hosts were extremely quick and responsive and wanted to ensure our stay went well (which it did). Fun to be camping on the river, but still just a few minutes to downtown Greenville. Hope to return!

Me and my daughter got to spend a relaxing afternoon and night at this wonderful campground. We only got to stay for one night, but we will definitely be back in the future and highly recommend!! You’ve got different options of where to put up a tent near the river. It’s in a shady spot so you won’t get too hot during the summer heat. 10 out of 10 stay!! There is a Porta potty to use and a water hose and sink if needed

The cabin right on the river was comfortable and quaint, loved falling asleep and waking to the sound of the water and birds singing! The restrooms and showers were clean and lots of hot water. The property is amazing plenty of privacy between cabins. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. The trails were also good to hike in the mornings. Extra plus: the two horses on the adjoining property were so beautiful and friendly, we fed them bits of grass every day. Overall would definitely recommend if you are OK with roughing it just a little bit.

We had a great weekend staying in the Teela Springs Cabin at Cold Springs Basecamp! It was probably the easiest camping trip we’ve ever done as a family. No need for a tent or cooking gear since it was all included with the cabin. A great way to get outdoors and spend time with the family. The cabin had a lot of privacy compared to the other sites we saw which we really enjoyed.

The property is a gem in this area. The rustic cabin was perfect for our group. The facilities were impressive. Nicest campground bathrooms I have ever been in. The cold plunge and sauna was a nice touch and unique. There are trails on the property for hiking or biking and even a waterfall. Great place to base camp and would highly recommend to anyone!

Would stay here again. The sites are well spaced and clean. The cleanest porta john in America is on site. After talking with Andy for a few minutes you can tell there was a lot of effort and work to get things just right. We felt like we were tucked in on a forest service road.
