You can find hiking, biking, and horseback-riding trails within a short bike or car ride in Pisgah National Forest. Chimney Rock State Park is 25 miles east and offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountain scenery. Or perhaps go for a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. By Tracy McCoy I wonder if when standing on the sprawling in upstate South Carolina, just a short hour trip from Greenville, Ed and Kitty Land heard a small still voice say, “if you build it, they will come.” While there isn't a baseball field on the property, that's about all that is lacking. Chattooga Belle Farm began as an event building set on acres with a small seasonal retail store. Soon people found their way to the soon-to-be full-fledged farm and they felt it; that feeling that you've found a very special place. Peaceful, majestic and unlike any other, Chattooga Belle Farm is quite possibly the perfect place for any event and most certainly an ideal place to pledge your heart and life to another. Since the Lands opened their doors in 2010 they have come. There have been families, couples, groups, the media and fruit pickers who have all visited the farm; and they return year after year. Having been written up countless times across the southeast, US and more recently featured on The Today Show, the farm just keeps growing and getting better. With a history of growing sweet juicy apples, the soil in this part of the world has proven to be excellent for peaches, muscadines, scuppernongs, and blueberries. The farm also grows exotic fruits like persimmons, paw paws, Asian pears, figs, and more! The landscape is picturesque and the mountain views are truly breathtaking in every direction. The farm hosts farm to table dinners that sell out year after year. Their U-Pick fruit opportunities evolve throughout the season with something always coming in from early summer through fall. A list of available fruit is updated often on their website, upcoming events and information about cabin rentals on Horseshoe Lake. The recent addition of a distillery on the farm means the fruit is grown, fermented, distilled and bottled on the farm. The distillery is open year round Monday – Saturday. ged in oak barrels and aged to produce some of the finest liquors made in these mountains. The farm store is complete with fresh produce (in season), canned jams, jellies and bottled ciders. Grass-fed, natural, antibiotic-free Black Angus beef is sold in the store. Using only natural, humane and environmentally sustainable practices, the Lands and their staff raise beef as nature intended. Bringing the best to your family has never been easier. Belle's Bistro at Chattooga Belle Farm serves salads, sandwiches, burgers and soups made with the freshest ingredients possible. The bistro is open for lunch Tuesday – Sunday from April – October. They shared their enjoyment with us, and we realized how much we enjoyed knowing they were down there camping. We both have a great appreciation for God's creation and decided to open our gates to you. Lynn is a true Blue Ridge native and we both hope you enjoy the proximity to our towns, the mountains, rivers, streams, and waterfalls. The local apple orchards are also amazing! Hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and rafting are only a few of the activities available within a short drive. It’s a beautiful spot to get away from the city. We had some fireflies every night. We ran low on fire wood and I messaged Nate. A couple hours later we had a ton of wood. Nate is a wonderful host. The hot tub was very clean.

We had a great 2 nights at Anne & Chris's site! Directions were clear, they were super friendly, and the site was fun - we went in the creek a couple times to splash around and float. We loved the chickens on property, and they did have a great bathhouse and game room!

Great Hipcamp! The location was close to the bike trails, and the sites were private, shady, and surrounded by beautiful woods. The outdoor hot water shower was awesome after a day of riding, and the toilet was clean. We’d definitely stay here again!

Extremely tidy and easy access from main road. Instructions were excellent. The hosts were professional. Site is close to a stream and beautiful location, close to Cedar Mountain on the outskirts of Brevard. Highly recommend.

The site was very easily accessible, the van parked evenly, and we slept well. It was very quiet, there wasn’t any light pollution, and we had no problems. The porta potties were clean and my husband had two refreshing showers. There was an abundance of native plants along the site and lots of great birdwatching. There were also plenty of fireflies, which is always lovely to see.

What a relaxing place, we had the whole site with a lovely pavilion where we could eat and hang out with our dogs. 🐶 Jann’s directions were perfect and set up was easy. The community garden across the road from our site, was perfect for an evening stroll and our dogs insisted on going! They loved it. Thanks so much for a relaxing time. We will be back!

This is an amazing spot. It’s quiet and secluded but, not far from all the attractions. We spent the day playing in waterfalls. Slept like a baby and then headed out early to paddle. The lighting bugs were a nice addition. Host were super accommodating. The sites are flat. Hot water showers. Clean bathroom. There’s fire wood to purchase on site. Couldn’t ask for more.

I really enjoyed my time at this site, loved that there was a shower available. Site was secluded and had everything I needed. There was some noise from the host/residents in the evenings and noise from the nearby gravel road, those were the only potential downsides.

Exactly as described. Really lovely place with great amenities. Depending on the size of your rig, you may have a bit of trouble getting turned around, so just be mindful of that. There were good hiking trails within 20-30 minutes and a great little creek about 2 minutes away that the doggos loved swimming in. But, do take note that there isn't anywhere to actually walk your pups if traveling with them without leaving the area and driving down the road a bit to either the fenced in public park/swimming pool (and the fence is not 100% secure and there's no shade) or the gravel road that goes by the farm, which is pretty lightly traveled and made for a good walk. Minor things to note but definitely not deal breakers. Great host communication.
