About this space The "Kick Back Tiny Shack" has a queen size bed, small futon bed (for a child) along with two single camp cots. This tiny house can sleep up to four people (2-3 most comfortably) depending on your needs. There is a mini fridge with mini freezer along with a mini gas range/oven, microwave, coffee pot and toaster. There is a TV with only local channels available. Wi-Fi is available at nearby restaurants. AT&T works well here; all others are very sketchy. The cabin has a freestanding gas fireplace to keep you cozy and warm. Come prepared to relax. This is a rustic cabin with all amenities so no need to pack up dishes, bedding, towels, etc. (bring sleeping bag and pillow for anything other than the queen size bed.) The kitchen is fully stocked with your basic cooking and dining essentials. If you don't want to do dishes you are welcome to bring your own paper plates, etc. Coffee, Salt, pepper, dish soap and hand soap, toilet paper and one roll of paper towels provided. There is no running water, but you will be supplied with an electric pump faucet with 10 gallons of water for the kitchen sink for doing dishes, etc. There is also a pump faucet for the outhouse sink. You can heat water on the stove with the pot supplied. In addition, 1 gallon of drinking water will be supplied also. There is a heated outhouse next to the cabin which has a shower stall in which you can shower with an electric pump shower, 120 gallons of water and on demand water heater. Towels are provided and if you need more water, you can contact us, and we can refill at our home which is located next door. Please allow notice in case we are not home at the time. The contact information will be provided with your booking confirmation. You have your own private yard on our 6 acres with a BBQ pit in the summer months, firepit and grill off of the back deck year-round. If you chose to bring a four-wheeler, canoe, boat or snowmobile there is plenty of parking space depending on the quantity. Snowmobiles and side by sides are available for rent 3 miles up the road from the cabin. Come and unwind or explore the many wonders that the Northwoods has to offer! The interior of the cabin is newly refinished. The exterior will be improved as time goes by.

Sailor Springs is a small three-site campground located just two miles outside of the picturesque tourist town of Bayfield, WI. 2023 will be our first year of operation and we’re excited to host campers on the property and provide a unique camping experience. The campground is spread out over 5 acres of forest that you’ll hike into from Bresette Hill Road. After parking at the trailhead, you’ll gather your bags and hike into your glamping site. The trail winds through the woods, leading you first to a valley where the seasonal Clark Creek runs through in the spring. The first two campsites are on the other side of this valley. The trail can be steep in spots and requires a moderate level of fitness and mobility to reach the secluded campsites. The third site is a bit farther into the forest, the little A-frame cabin, Anchor sits on the edge of the spring-fed Brickyard Creek that flows year-round. We have many plans for the property and depending on when you stay, the campground will be in various stages of development. The campsites, trailhead / parking area, and trails are scheduled to be completed in early spring. We hope to add amenities such as a camp sauna and screened-in gazebo later in the 2024 summer / fall. 1 night at North Shore Hermitage

This was absolutely more than I anticipated it would be. What a friendly family, amazingly friendly dogs, and welcoming atmosphere. Even the kids help with the guests! We felt very welcome, the firewood was endless, and Molly and her husband have thought of everything. You could need. Everything from an umbrella in case it rains to a toothbrush, just in case you forgot. One. Homemade bread was waiting for us and that was completely a surprise and absolutely wonderful! I can't say enough good things, but this family and this property and this rental is a delight. Very private feeling yet welcoming atmosphere. Thank you!

Weekend Trip to Bally Creek Cabins - off grid!

We had a great time camping at Bally Creeks off grid cabins. The accommodations were great and we were very impressed with the cabin. Also, can't beat the location being only 10 minutes from Grand Marais! Our two golden retrievers had the time of their lives as well.

Weekend Trip to North Shore Hermitage

We had a wonderful stay! The cabin was comfortable and Molly was so welcoming. We loved meeting her animals (Hank and Stella were the most precious lovely dogs!), enjoying the scenery, and being able to relax and refresh. Everything was perfect! Can’t wait to come again.

This is an amazing Glamp! A hidden gem for sure! Molly was super nice and informative about the land and places that were close by to visit. Her dogs are really friendly and it was fun to meet the sheep and see Kevin run around! We loved her flower bouquet and enjoyed some fresh produce from the farm. If you're headed up this way, definitely spend some time here. It's very quiet and peaceful. We would stop again! 11 out of 10 stars

The cabin was very cozy, easily accessible, and had a great outdoor area to hang out. The stars are so bright here that you could see the Milky Way! There is running water but it comes out slow and cold, so I wouldn’t recommend doing a ton of dishes there but it wasn’t a problem at all for us.

3 nights at Lake View Lodge

This is a quiet resort with a variety of cabin sizes. Our cozy cabin had all the amenities of home. Yes, each cabin includes the pontoon rental, so you could come and go as you please. The pontoons did not have a huge motor, but neither was the lake. Perfect for fishing and day cruising around the lake. Loved this option since we do not own a boat. We had a great time. Cabin 3 had a full-sized bedroom with an additional futon in the living space.

Could not have had a better experience than my short lived day here. The hospitality was great, perfect location, the cabin was cozy with all the perks of a campsite feel around it. 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Duluth. Will definitely plan on making a trip in the winter.

2 nights at Glamping in the Northwoods

We decided to unconnect from the world and just get away from our daily hustle and bustle living in the city. This cabin is absolutely adorable, clean and has everything you need for a glamping experience. NO internet or WiFi and didn’t find any close by. We could connect to satellite and text but even that is spotty. Our host was super attentive, had all sorts of things in the cabin that made our stay even better that we would have never thought to pack. Kitchen set up was perfect, bed was comfy, and the outhouse was as modernized as they come. Definitely recommend.

Starting out look see if the off the grid (unwind!) but, there is electricity in the cabin!

Perfect ☝️Nights Sleep, hospitality, friendliness of Molly, Cory and family, items supplied with the cabin were useful especially the 2 gallon tasty drinking water, loaf of homemade brown bread and six of their fresh chicken eggs! Out front the plenteous firewood ready for the fire, picnic table for the one meal we had there, woodland views ~ from the secluded outhouse was a surprising treat! We were up and down the North Shore of Lake Superior each of the three days two nights! Lovely choice!

I love camping at the North Shore Hermitage! Molly was such a wonderful host and walked us around. Hank and Stella kept us feeling safe but never bothered us even a little (but they did love getting pets and attention) we enjoyed our personal slice of heaven and we can’t WAIT to come back in the fall some time. Thank you a billion more times Molly for being so kind and welcoming!

What a fantastic getaway. This dry cabin is so cozy and has everything you could want from extra drinking water to dcds stocked for your enjoyment. There's lots of windows, surrounded by woods, absolutely peaceful scene. I spent hours by the campfire in the morning just enjoying the woods and the bird calls. The trails around the property are wide and well cared for. Molly is a fantastic host who respects your privacy but is available for whatever you need. Highly recommend!

If you're looking for something off grid, cozy, and an authentic outdoor experience this is the place to be in the Grand Marais, Cook County area. Perfect for couples or small groups. Very close to downtown Grand Marais and multiple parks and attractions nearby. 10/10 would recommend!

1 night at Sailor Springs Glamping

Exactly what we were looking for—very remote, peaceful, and private. The hike to the site was clearly communicated in advance, so we were prepared, but it was moderately challenging, especially with gear. The hill down to the fire pit was a little tricky when the dirt was wet, but the beautiful, secluded setting made it well worth the effort. The cabin was spotless, super cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Abe was awesome to work with! We had one site booked for a night and another for two nights, and he made the transition between them incredibly easy. He also checked in on us after a storm passed through and stayed responsive via the app whenever we had questions. You can tell he really cares about making sure campers have a good experience. Would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy some true quiet time in nature!

Eckbeck Campground

Eckbeck is one of our "go to" campgrounds on the north shore. There are no reservations. You pay via an envelope with cash, check, or card. On the weekends it can fill up in the summer. If Eckbeck is full there's another state forest campground "Finland Campground" just around the corner which is also a nice place to stay. There is an artesian well here. There are pit toilets and no showers. It's a great central location for Tettagouche state park and the Superior Hiking Trail.

Finland Campground

My go to campground because you can never get into Tettegouche. No matter what time of the year, I always find a spot here. I use this as a basecamp and then travel around the area to fish and hike. Water and a toilet is available. I was up there a couple weeks ago!

Eckbeck Campground

Lovely for one night but have to drive to access to hiking trails. Awesome, sweet cafe in Finland, 'Our Placee' they treat you like family.

No reservations. We have camped here twice and haven't had a problem finding a spot. This year we'll be going over Labor Day weekend so we'll see how full it will be. If it's full, we plan to check out the Finland Campground just a few miles from this one.

Love the wooded area that's surrounding this beautiful campground. So quiet as long as the atv's stay off the road they're supposed to stay off of. No hiking trails around campground though.

I love this campground! I love that you dont need a reservation, so many sites along the north shore are booked all summer long. I am the type of person that packs my car on Friday and decides to camp this weekend, I dont preplan months in advance, so I love that this place usually has a spot for campers like me! The campground itself is perfect for the primitive camper. The vaulted toilets leave something to be desired, but they have them for those who are willing to. I like that there is a well so I dont have to haul in a ton of water. The sites are a bit close but also provide enough privacy to still feel like your in the woods. I love the proximity to Tettegouche State Park and the Lake Superior Hiking Trail.
