Coppercreek Camp is located in Plumas County 10 minutes from Lake Almanor, the Feather River, and Round Valley Lake. We are an hour from Lassen National Park.  Picnic by our ponds, play in our sandpit volleyball court, relax in a hammock, watch your kids put on a show at our amphitheater, and watch the sunset over Keddie Peak. The frogs and crickets will sing you to sleep. Ask us how to access our trails and other ponds. Our bunk cabins are rustic with electricity, windows and locking doors, and each cabin has different bed accommodations. Please bring all of your own bedding and sleeping bags. Some of the cabins have heat/AC. We have tent sites available with picnic tables and can accommodate dry-camping RVs. We are still working on installing RV hook-ups. May through October there is a bath and shower house with hot water and flush toilets. Propane fire pits are available for rent. We have an ice machine on in the summer months located by our Main Lodge. The winters are cold and snowy, spring and fall are ideal with warm sunny days and cool, crisp nights, and the summer has warm evenings and hot days. There is plenty of shade with large pine, cedar and oak trees and open sunny space in the meadow. Coppercreek Camp is your perfect mountain getaway for the whole family! Please note: The Dixie fire burned our town of Greenville in August 2021. There is ongoing repair work in the local area, a lot of burned forest, but still many beautiful sites to see. Much of our property burned, but we are rebuilding and have beautiful green trees with plenty of shade. All of our pictures on HipCamp are post-fire and up-to-date. Please come and support our special town as we rebuild! The town of Greenville is located about 5 minutes from our property and offers a grocery store, Dollar General, gas station with mini mart, and wonderful food trucks. Turner Beach At Lake Almanor is a privately owned vacant lakefront lot. The property is wide enough to accommodate 3 RV's/camp trailers end to end, ensuring no blocked views of the lake. You will be camping along Lake Almanor's East Shore on your own private campground instead of "combat camping" in the public campgrounds nearby. Additionally, the property can accommodate numerous smaller vans and tents. We have 2 mooring buoys and a large dock. (Dock may no longer be in the water after September) There is a sani-hut potty which is maintained/cleaned weekly. The property is located between the lake and the highway, so there will be road noise. Some guests have been bothered by the traffic and some have not. We have 1 SUP board, 3 kayaks, and a canoe as well as a 5-person pedal boat that can be borrowed while renting our beach. Doing so will be at your own risk and you are required to wear personal floatation devices (lifejackets). Lifejackets are not provided, so you will need to bring your own. We ask that you please respect our toys and take care not to damage them or lose any parts/pieces. ALL RENTERS MUST TAKE THEIR OWN TRASH WITH THEM WHEN THEY DEPART No Fireworks, No firearms, No drugs allowed. Dogs are allowed and we have a 10 x 10 x 6 kennel onsite. Campers are responsible for minding their pet's safety, politeness, and picking up their poo-poo's. Marshmallow roasting/cooking fires must be kept small and are only allowed in the provided fire ring. There is firewood onsite. The early mornings are tranquil, and the sunsets are STUNNING! There is only one spot available at our property to reserve as we leave our trailer up there for most of the summer. The good news is you will have the place all to yourselves unless we happen to be there which is not very often and we will let you know if we overlap. This spot has a 30 amp RV plug and a sewer connection. There is no water or trash service so please bring your own water and practice pack in/pack out practices. This spot is for RV's only with a full restroom as we don't have restroom facilities onsite. This is a very quiet spot but does have a few neighbors within earshot so if you are planning on a party spot or having loud music this is not the spot for you. There is a large smoker/BBQ that is not maintained but is available for your use if you want, we have used it several times and it works great. There is also a firepit to use when fire season permits. We are only 4 miles from Graeagle, which is a great little town to explore and eat some ice cream in the park. There are many great lakes to explore in the immediate area including Lake Davis, Gold Lake, Upper Salmon Lake, and of course upper and lower sardine which are my favorites.

This site comes with a large tent on a raised platform overlooking pastureland toward Smith Peak. The tent is a semi-permanent fixture that sleeps two people on a queen-size inflatable mattress. There is also room on the floor for a couple of sleeping bags if you choose to share your space! An outhouse is located just a short walk away and also includes a shower. There is no hot water—just a Wim Hof-inspired cold rinse! Lake Davis is about five miles up the road and offers fishing, paddleboarding, and a seven-mile trail to explore. The Lakes Basin Recreation Area is a short 40-minute drive away, where you’ll find multiple hiking trails and many lakes to explore. Portola has hosted the Lost Sierra Gravel Grinder bike race, and Graeagle, California, is just 10 miles west. There, you can enjoy boutique shopping and some of the best coffee around at the Outpost, located next to Mill Pond.

We offer a quiet campsite minutes from Highway 395 on a tranquil county road named after the family. Biking and walking is easy and can be done without fear of traffic. We are close to bike trails and the Bizz Johnson Rails to Trails project is just 17 minutes away in Susanville.

Missy's Mountain Meadows is our 200-acre wild grass ranch, a peaceful haven nestled in the breathtaking Honey Lake Valley—just north of Reno, NV, and south of Susanville, CA. We’re Missy and Kyle, along with our two little adventurers, Lucas (2 years old) and Liam (newborn!). As a young family, we’re pouring our hearts into this land, building a dream rooted in nature, community, and sustainable living. We currently live full-time just north of Lake Tahoe (about 1.5 hours from the ranch), but Kyle typically makes it out to the property 4–5 days per week. Our ranch is a wide-open sanctuary, fully fenced and ready for you to explore with your RV, trailer, ATV, or horses. Marvel at the rolling grasslands, soak in the serene valley views, and discover the hidden springs tucked away at the back of the property. At the heart of our land is our growing honeybee apiary—a labor of love where our bees work tirelessly to turn nectar into golden honey. Feel free to roam and enjoy the entire property, with just a few simple guidelines to keep everyone safe and happy: Pets: We love pets! Please be aware that local predators (coyotes, bobcats, mountain lions, etc.) may pose a risk. Close supervision is recommended for off-leash or outdoor pets. Stay Within the Fenced Area: Explore freely across the full 200 acres, but please keep all activities within the ranch boundaries. Respect the Honeybee Apiary: Observe the bees from a safe distance, especially if you’re allergic to stings. Do not enter the fenced apiary unless arranged as part of a guided tour. Solar Stock Well: Please don’t enter the gated area or drink the well water. Leave No Trace: Help us keep the ranch pristine by cleaning up after yourself and your pets or livestock. Keep the Gate Locked: Please ensure the gate remains locked at all times. This ranch is more than a stopover—it’s a place to connect with nature and share in our family’s journey. I rescue unwanted dogs from certain euthanasia who have been abandoned or abused, and provide them a forever home.  Now I want to share my beautiful wooded property where they can run, swim, investigate, play, and enjoy a free-range lifestyle. Weekend Trip to Lena's Landing- A Cozy Cabin

This was easily one of the best Hipcamp stays I’ve had. The tiny home is incredibly clean, cozy, and thoughtfully put together, with so many little touches that make the space feel welcoming and comfortable. She has clearly put a lot of care into the experience, from the amenities to the refreshments stocked in the fridge. The property itself is beautiful and peaceful, and the friendly animals make it even more special. Being surrounded by the natural beauty near Portola was exactly the kind of quiet, rejuvenating reset anyone could ask seeking a retreat from their busy city lives. She was also incredibly responsive, helpful, and easy to communicate with, and I honestly think her pricing is more than fair for what she provides. She may call it “camping,” but this was easily the most luxurious camping I’ve ever done. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it without hesitation!

We loved tent camping at Turner Beach! It was a spacious property and we loved the easy and private access to the lake. Only draw back was occasional road noise. Lynne was quick to respond to our questions as well. We will be back next summer!

This has to be one of my favorite places to camp. It's beautiful and quiet. Kristine has set up the camp so nicely and is so generous to provide ample firewood and water. Two tables and four rocking chairs around the camp fire ring, a swing, and horseshoes for throwing makes this the best base camp. My favorite part of this camp however, is Indian Creek running nearby. Such a treat to make breakfast and take a short walk to the creek for a day of swimming. We spent two days and nights swimming during the day and stargazing at night. Everyone agreed, it was perfection!

Weekend Trip to Mimi’s Hideaway

This site worked out perfectly for our weekend at the Plumas Audubon Society's Lake Almanor Grebe Festival. We had full hookups for our motorhome, and the property abutted the beautiful meadows surrounding the historic Olsen Barn. It's a land trust parcel so trails took off basically right from our campsite out into the meadows and down to the wetlands interface with Lake Almanor. As birders, we couldn't have been happier. Mimi was very responsive and she's a kind and attentive person besides who also loves the birds of the area. We would definitely stay here again and I very much recommend it. Just fyi if you book, use the street number to navigate to if you are using Google maps, as the coordinates that Hipcamp supplies will take you to a neighbor's house two houses down. We had a great time and hopefully we can come back down to take in the beautiful Lake Almanor vibe again!

Stunning off grid property! Very communicative host when questions arose. As we drove out to the property, a fire started on a mountain nearby and our host assured us that we were going to be safe. Had a really cool opportunity to watch first responders fight the fire and even had a fire helicopter coming to pick up water out of the lake behind the property owners house. Stayed in the Tiny Blue and it was comfortable, but given the time of year, there wasn’t much of a breeze at night, so it did get extremely hot inside even with the windows open. Had access to a tiny kitchen and compost toilet right next to our site. We were next to a beautiful pond with a nice walking trail going around it. Saw all kinds of birds (lots of quail) muskrats, frogs, dragonflies. Very safe and welcoming place!

Meadow View Camp is a bit obscure to find but worth it. There aren't any trees so bring some shade! Did some amazing Milky Way photography while out there. Even with the Bug fire going, the stars were shining through! The view is stunning and the area is full of amazing bird life.

I enjoyed my time there. My dog and I were the only campers. 180° sky, rabbits, beautiful weather. It was worth the traffic hassles to get there. We just have to follow the directions carefully. I did not try the portapotty.

Kristine was an awesome host and put in a lot of work to make her site nice. The creek is a short walk away and is an amazing swimming hole. It can be hard to find the entrance to the camp but its not too bad. I saw a mixed review which mentioned her house being visible from the site and being able to hear the road which concerned me. You can see her house from the site, but the trees are thick and it still felt very private. You can hear the road, but cars are very infrequent and there was not a single car past 9 pm in our 4 night stay. I would definitely go back and I would definitely recommend.

This is a lovely, biodiverse landscape full of wildlife and plants. The smell of sagebrush fills the air and the sunrises and sunsets are beautiful! The Tiny Blue was a sweet little glamping spot! It was nice to not have to pull out my tent and camping gear. Wendy is an awesome host! She was very friendly and welcoming. I would stay here again. 😊

Weekend Trip to Golden Pine Campground, Paxton, Ca

This place a is new gem in the area. Nice facilities- showers, kitchen area, and great river access. Cool view of a small waterfall on the river from the room #1. Caught 3 Pike minnow in the river and paddle boarded it and saw dozens of Good sized fish in the private beach area. Got up to 97 degrees so it was hot, luckily we set up a shade tent right on the water and enjoyed it. Was glad it cooled off to the 50s at night. Would absolutely recommend this place!

I was getting in just before dark and needed a spot to set up my tent quickly and get some rest without worrying about driving around searching forever. The spot was affordable and perfect for what I needed. Very pretty setting and quiet except for one brief song by some nearby coyotes. Roosters didn’t start crowing until after 7 am. Host was responsive and friendly. Definitely recommend!

This was an awesome stay! Took me a bit to find the campsite but host was very responsive and friendly. First time using Hipcamp to book a spot. I was solo with my dog and felt safe. You’re out on a ranch and there are only two sites so it can feel a bit remote but there was one other person with their dog. Woke up to some coyotes having dinner and star gazed. Cool spot I’d camp again

We absolutely loved our stay! This is such a fun, unique lakefront campsite. The dock and all the water toys kept everyone entertained for hours, and the sunsets were simply spectacular. The site is nicely shaded, and we were pleasantly surprised by how few bugs and critters there were. It also had the cleanest porta potty we’ve ever seen, and having firewood available onsite was super convenient. Lynne was amazing to work with. She was welcoming, responsive, and made the whole experience easy. Yes, there is some road noise, but the owners are completely upfront about it. For us, the beautiful setting, private waterfront, and all the fun amenities far outweighed it. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back!

Awesome spot. Loved the farm and animals. The cold shower was very appreciated with how hot it was. My pup and I had a great time stargazing and listening to the night creatures. My city pup hasn’t ever camped so he was up all night ears perked up. Great host. I already recommend friends and family.
