Peaceful spot in side of a large yard. Access to the City of Goshen Parks, trails, bike trails and playgrounds is within a half a mile. There is electric at the campsite. There is access to water, but not at the campsite. It is very quiet and peaceful on a paved road. There is a public restroom at the Goshen Community Building about 1/4 a miles from the farm. The farm also borders Mill Branch Park which is about a hundred acres of City Park. Ferguson Farms is with in a hours drive of many local attractions. Fayetteville is a social hub with The Walton Arts Center, The University of Arkansas, Dickson Street, The Fayetteville Square and numerous local flavor restaurants. There are over 400 miles of local bike trails. Bentonville hosts the Bentonville Bike Festival and has OZ Trails which features a bike ski lift to the top of the trails. Bentonville is the home to Walmart, The Walton 5 and 10 museum, Crystal Bridges, and many more attractions. We are 35 miles from historical Eureka Springs with the haunted Crescent Hotel, the Thorncrown Chapel and Christ of the Ozarks.

The campground has a bathroom facility with indoor shower and seasonal outdoor showers. We have a hot tub and propane grill guests can use year round along with hiking trails in the summer and a swimming pool. Sunset Mountain is near the Elk River in Noel Missouri and close to Northwest Arkansas where there are mountain biking trails, museums and many other activities. Sunset Mountain is listed on the Monarch Butterfly Waystation registry as well. We are located 1.2 miles away from the Noel city park that has free Elk River access, 4 miles to Mt. Shira free Elk River access near Shady Beach and 5.2 miles to the free Elk River access in Pineville, MO near Shady Beach Pineville. It's a short walk up to the cabin, you will need to across the foot bridge over the creek and up a few steps to the cabin. The terrain on the property could be muddy or loose at times. Always watch your footing. There is no running water, but there is an 8-gallon jug over the sink for drinking and washing. Extra water available for longer stays. Composting toilet outhouse behind the cabin. Compost toilet bucket is cleaned out after every guest. Propane hot water shower is only available in the warmer months (usually April through October). The cabin is powered by a small solar panel setup. Please do not plug in any personal devices. They could damage the electrical system or overwork it. USB charging dock for phones, laptops, etc. Good cell service with most providers. Basic LED lighting. Direct vent propane heater. Full size memory foam mattress with plenty of warm blankets. We recommend high clearance and/or 4WD or AWD vehicles. If you are unable to cross the creek, you will need to park in the parking area and walk across the creek to reach your site.

Cabin is up a 1-mile dirt road, part is smooth, part is a bit rough. Steep, unpaved hills. Our Subaru makes it. Roughest part is a switchback below cabin. We loved staying in the Vintage Airstream camper. Nostalgic, clean, and comfy. The deck out side was great to sit and sip our morning coffee and grill up diner after exploring the area all day. Close to both Bentonville and Eureka Springs, was convenient base camp for the area.

A fantastic place to get away! Brian and his wife are fantastic people who care about what they do. Us, coming from West Texas, they made us feel right at home and offered any advice they had. Great location if you are looking to ride the trails! The cabins have a Blackstone grill, mini fridge and a microwave along with a full size tub and shower. If we ever get a chance to go back that direction, I will definitely be in touch! Excellent experience!

Weekend Trip to Ridgetop A-Frame Offgrid

Loved our stay! The cabin is beautifully designed, incredibly peaceful, and truly one of those rare places that helps you slow down and reconnect with nature. My wife and I spent a few days here celebrating our 15th anniversary, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We enjoyed the spectacular views, quiet mornings with coffee, evenings by the fire, and the outdoor soaking tub—which is an absolute must! You can tell Curtis and Morgan poured their hearts into building this place. If you’re looking to unplug and recharge, this little mountaintop retreat is truly something special. Oh, and the drive in is fun and not so daunting if you have the proper vehicle and wheels with a little grip.

Clean, clean, clean! Such a nice property. The hosts were very accommodating. They reccomened places of interest in the area. And even gave us a small history lesson of the area. The cabin was so well kitted out! Games for kids and adults, too. Lots of extras! They plan on adding a dish washing station and a camp store.

Ch clean in was very simple. The accommodations were everything the pictures showed. No surprises. Communication with the host was easy and quick responses. The grounds well kept and saw new glamping sites being built. Restrooms and showers were well kept. Would for sure stay here again.

3 nights at Bentonville Bike Camp

This was my second time staying at the Bicycle Campground. The first time was passing through on our way back from Colorado. This time I stayed in one of the a-frames for four nights while in town for a work trip. The campground is a short drive from the trails in Bentonville, Bella Vista, as well as the soon-to-open OZ Gravity Park. I did manage to ride to the Back 40 trail from the campground one evening, which was really nice. Love this place!

White Rock Mountain Recreation Area and Campground

I stayed here while hiking the OHT and the fresh water and snacks offered at the check in station were a godsend after the hike up the mountain. It was particularly hot that day and it is a steep hike with gear. Nice drive in campsites too and I think a couple of cabins to rent.

Spring Lake Recreation Area

A nice surprise in Arkansas. You can hike all along the river canyon and enjoy the beautiful scenery. I went in the spring and it was amazing.

Shores Lake Recreation Area

This is one of my favorite car camping spots. They have a swim beach and fishing. Its not a well known spot so you can expect some peace and quiet. Interested hikers can take a 7mi loop up to White Rock (which is well worth the trek). This is again black bear country and while its not required to hang your food the onsite ranger will ask you to please not feed the bears.

Ozark Highlands Trail

There are several places to camp along the OHT. Do your research and get a guidebook (and even some terrain maps) before taking off on this one. Its not exceptionally difficult but does require some preparation. The trail is poorly maintained and overgrown in several places because all trail maintenance is volunteer through the Ozark Highlands Association. All together the trails winds its way 220 miles through the Ozarks and St. Francis National Forest. You can expect lots of nice waterfalls, old home/building sites, old railways, lovely mountain top views and and beautiful foliage.

White Rock Mountain Recreation Area and Campground

The drive up is steep and rocky so take a vehicle that can handle it. Also this is black bear country so keep a look out on your drive up and if you do any camping or hiking in the surrounding forest remember to hang a bear bag.

Gunner Pool Recreation Area

Be sure to check if the water is running when you set up camp. Last time we were there, it wasn't working. (It's supposed to work.) Fortunately we had enough water, but it could have been difficult.
