This was our first time staying at the cabin. We usually stay in the camper. Very clean throughout the cabin beds are comfortable. Enjoyed having the TV and Wi-Fi. It was nice having the screened in front porch and the fire pit was awesome. Vickie is always available during our stays if we have questions. She’s an excellent host highly recommend staying at her properties.

Such a cute little tiny house. 10 minutes from a grocery store but still very rural feeling. Stars were big and bright. The host even setup sticks in the fire pit so that starting a fire took like 2 minutes. Host was also very responsive to messages when I had a question about WiFi. One thing to be careful about: if you don’t already want a tiny home going in, you will by the time you leave.

My husband and I loved this spot! The deck was an excellent place for our things, there were fire pokers and a lovely fire pit. The bed frame was perfect in the shed. The stove in the shed made it so warm even on nights where it was below freezing. There was plenty of fallen wood in the forest around us for fire wood. And the lake was a short walk away and the trail allows dogs to be off leash which we love! The spot felt very secluded and private even though it’s so close to town which we also loved! Would definitely come back.

From the moment we booked the cub cabin until we left, Brian was absolutely amazing! He was very attentive to all my questions and even greeted us when we got there. The cabin was perfect and so was the whole campsite. We will be back for sure!!

This little cabin in the woods was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of Fayetteville. Not too far from town and located in a beautiful forest. We will definitely return. If you are a big coffee drinker, I recommend bringing your own.

We loved our stay at the Country Cabin. It's 15 minutes from downtown, but it feels out in the sticks. The cabin was clean and well-stocked, the A/C kept us cool, the shower was hot, the kitchen had everything we needed for meals. The nights were quiet, perfect for fires and nature. We will be back!

White Rock Mountain Recreation Area and Campground

I stayed here while hiking the OHT and the fresh water and snacks offered at the check in station were a godsend after the hike up the mountain. It was particularly hot that day and it is a steep hike with gear. Nice drive in campsites too and I think a couple of cabins to rent.

Spring Lake Recreation Area

A nice surprise in Arkansas. You can hike all along the river canyon and enjoy the beautiful scenery. I went in the spring and it was amazing.

Shores Lake Recreation Area

This is one of my favorite car camping spots. They have a swim beach and fishing. Its not a well known spot so you can expect some peace and quiet. Interested hikers can take a 7mi loop up to White Rock (which is well worth the trek). This is again black bear country and while its not required to hang your food the onsite ranger will ask you to please not feed the bears.

Ozark Highlands Trail

There are several places to camp along the OHT. Do your research and get a guidebook (and even some terrain maps) before taking off on this one. Its not exceptionally difficult but does require some preparation. The trail is poorly maintained and overgrown in several places because all trail maintenance is volunteer through the Ozark Highlands Association. All together the trails winds its way 220 miles through the Ozarks and St. Francis National Forest. You can expect lots of nice waterfalls, old home/building sites, old railways, lovely mountain top views and and beautiful foliage.

White Rock Mountain Recreation Area and Campground

The drive up is steep and rocky so take a vehicle that can handle it. Also this is black bear country so keep a look out on your drive up and if you do any camping or hiking in the surrounding forest remember to hang a bear bag.

Gunner Pool Recreation Area

Be sure to check if the water is running when you set up camp. Last time we were there, it wasn't working. (It's supposed to work.) Fortunately we had enough water, but it could have been difficult.
