What a wonderful spot! Views were stunning, and Michael provided access to all the necessary amenities: wood, water, electricity, and Porta Potty. (Note, if you arrive at night like we did, the porta potty is on the opposite side of the barn from the RV pad).
Highly recommend and would stay again.
Also note: we received decent cell service (Verizon) in the mornings but none in the afternoons.

Beautiful land. Quiet. Close to Boone. Easy access to RV site. Great views.

We loved taking our little Tab 320s camper to Loafers Joy! The views are so beautiful sitting right up on the hill. Having electric hook up was a lifesaver as JULY can be steamy and us Southerners need our air conditioning. Booking was easy, communication was great. Loved the big concrete pad, nice and level. Our dog loved walks in the country saying “hi” to the cows down the hill. Book it, you won’t regret it

Amazing views. Level lot. Access to electric. Reservation and booking seamless. Quiet, rural setting.
Close to Boone, Blowing Rock, Valle Crucis, and other attractions.
Host was easy to contact and quick with answers.

Great place to camp near Boone. Beautiful sunset and very kind hosts. I’d book on Michael’s land again.

I loved the RV site we got at Lofers Joy. Michael was a great host. He was very responsive to all my questions before the trip. When we got there, Michael checked on us to make sure everything was okay. He gave lots of suggestions for hiking and other activities. The site is great with a great view overlooking the valley and mountain range. We like the location. Not too close to the busy town yet easily accessible to Boons and Blowing Rock town within 15 mins. Definitely will be back and strongly recommend this Hipcamp site to others. Site and amenities are exactly what were described on hipcamp site.

Minutes from downtown Boone, yet just a short drive to Elk Knob State Park, Loafer’s Joy Meadow is ideally situated for those who appreciate the conveniences of a large town, but also enjoy quick access to the great outdoors.
Upon our arrival, my husband and I were greeted by our hosts Lynn and Terry. They kindly gave us a tour of the property, and highlighted all the accessible amenities/facilities. Both Lynn and Terry are very welcoming, kind people, as is their son, Michael, who is the site manager. We felt well taken care of during our stay. Thank you!
During our sojourn at Loafer’s Joy Meadow, we opted to set up camp at site #2. The camping plot was well-maintained, and came equipped with a fire ring and access to a simple, outdoor bathroom facility. If you need firewood, it is offered on-site for a nominal fee.
The mountain views at all the campsites on the property are expansive and inspiring. This is a great Hipcamp to watch the sunset/sunrise. Also, a stream behind the tent sites quietly flows through the shaded forest. The entire scene is very relaxing.
For a tranquil environment with great accessibility to Boone, Loafer’s Joy Meadow makes good sense. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Thank you Lynn, Terry, and Michael.

This is a great RV spot for a night. I enjoyed parking my Honda Element here and just relaxing by a fire listening to my favorite sounds - water flowing and birds chirping. I woke up to seeing the fog in the valley below - gorgeous.
Electric, firewood, and well water are available via Venmo. A spring water pump is available onsite.
