Bunkie-style cabin w/ sunrise deck

100%
(1)
Cabin · Sleeps 2 · 1 bedroom · 1 bed · 1 toilet
Our Bunkie-style cabin is available April - October. The Bunkie is located on a hill about 65 feet above road level and is accessible only on foot. It is a short but steep three minute hike from your parking place to the cabin. The spacious front deck is the ideal place to enjoy a cup of coffee and a spectacular sunrise. Being on a ridge means that your side yard and picnic table face west for beautiful sunsets overlooking the rolling hills that frame Scarbro bottom. Our Bunkie is nestled among towering oak, maple and hickory trees on a knoll about 100 feet above the confluence of US 19 and WV 16, Legends Hwy. The sound of traffic is present but not overwhelming. The site comes equipped with queen size bed and basic linens. There are two night stands, LED lanterns, a five gallon bottle of spring water with hand pump, small electric cooler (think small ice chest), casual comfortable indoor seating, patio furniture, camp-style folding chairs, electric coffee pot and an epoxy coated picnic table that comfortably seats four. Solar panels charge a DJI power bank 2000. Guests have easy access to 110 volt (4 amp max) outlets, and multiple Fast Charge USB outlets. Remember to bring your own USB cords. The private, hot, outdoor shower located just a few feet from the Bunkie. Shower gel is provided. Please add the Shower Towels extra if needed. No bathroom facilities are available at the Bunkie. However, a porta-potty is located at road-level near the beginning of trail that leads to the Bunkie. We love pets. Back home, we have three cats of our own. If you are bringing a pet, please add the Pet Fee extra. This small fee covers the cost of our pet waste stations, pet waste bags, additional cleaning (deodorizing) required, etc. SEASONAL NOTE: ¤ To check the local forecast, use zip code 25901. ¤ Outdoor shower will be disconnected and drained when outdoor temperatures are forecast below 40° at any point for next three days. ¤ No snow or ice removal is provided for our parking area, the trail to the outdoor toilet, the mountain trail leading to the Bunkie, or to the steps and deck of the Bunkie. ¤ If you are not able to safely reach the parking area, outdoor toilet, or Bunkie we will gladly cancel and refund the remainder of your reservation.
