My partner and I planned a last minute getaway to relax from the hustle and bustle of city life. Spending the weekend in a lovely yurt surrounded by grass and trees was everything we needed. Den was a friendly and accommodating host, we felt very welcomed in the space! The yurt is super spacious and the woodfire stove was a great addition to add to the cozy atmosphere - it saved us when the sun went down. The yurt had many outdoor chairs, extra sleeping mats, a broom and floor cleaner, and it DOES have an outlet for charging things. I will say I did see some droppings in the yurt, but it is a farm as well so that could be expected, just be mindful about keeping food and such off the floor and bringing your own bedding. There are string lights inside as well. I could see it being really fun with a group! The bathroom, right behind the yurt, was so clean, and the wood composting toilets were an interesting concept that worked surprisingly well to keep it smelling decent. The kitchen was well equipped, had a sink with filtered water and useful supplies! Wish I would’ve had time for the farm tour because the animals looked sooo cute! I would highly recommend staying here :)

My partner and I had an amazing time here for her birthday, I think our biggest regret was not having more time to explore more of the trails around the property. The yurt was very well built, stayed warm with the stove, and was very large for two people and two dogs. The single sleeping mat was surprisingly comfortable and the outhouse was only a short walk from the front doors. Den was extremely kind and helpful in making sure the stay was successful and fun, and the farm tour with Max was great as we were able to meet a lot of baby sheep and rabbits, and we were met with answers to all of our many questions. The location is far enough out that you hear and see a lot of nature, but centrally located enough that we were able to explore both the Washington and Oregon coast easily! The shared outdoor kitchen offers enough amenities that you shouldn’t have any problems making food, the wood fired sauna was an excellent addition, and the outdoor shower is just a few steps away from the sauna and kitchen making everything fairly central. We had such a fun time and we look forward to our next stay!

My family of four (including a six year old) had a good time. There are sheep in a meadow and we enjoyed being stared at placidly by them. The composting toilet was delightfully clean and tidy. Though it was a cold and rainy night, the fireplace kept us warm and the yurt stayed dry. The yurt was very spacious. The things on the inside were very cool: a zodiac poster and chimes with a mallet. A very peaceful spot. And new gravel made the driveway easy to back out of! Thanks!

We had a fantastic time! My partner and I stayed in the yurt to celebrate my birthday. The yurt was clean and private. The wood stove kept us super toasty and the mattress was comfortable. The property has a handy outdoor kitchen and dining area. We also took the farm tour and got to hang out with the baby sheep and rabbits. We also made use of the sauna which was the perfect contrast to the rainy spring weather. The property is stunning and incredibly serene, there are tons more f trails to explore. We left feeling rejuvenated. Den and Max were both incredibly friendly and made our stay easy and enjoyable. We can’t wait to go back!!

We spent New Years here. Such a beautiful property. Max the shepherd saved us several times over, including towing our car out of muddy trenches. The sheep were friendly, and Elfsa the barn cat was even friendlier. The yurt was spacious and the wood stove put our firemaking skills to the test. The sauna was lovely and the outdoor shower was superb. Can't wait to return in the summer!

This place is really beautiful. The hosts were great and it felt very private as no one was staying in the yurt when I was there in my van. Tons of places to wander around and some really beautiful trails.
I went during December so it was definitely muddy where I parked and I got stuck. However, they did warn me that it had been pretty muddy so if you have a heavy vehicle without all wheel drive, you might get stuck. But Max was amazing and helped me out of the mud!
Can’t wait to check this place out in the summer as well. It’s magical.

The yurt was well-kept. The area is quiet and relatively secluded, a perfect place to retreat to. To get all the way to the yurt you definitely need AWD. Otherwise, it's about a 150ft walk.
The stove heats the yurt adequately even in winter, just prepare to use about 2 boxes of firewood each day/night.
The mattress was comfortable. It's a bit bigger than a standard single, which was nice, but double sized sheets might fit better.
There is a nice trail to walk on the property, and the gravel road is also good for a stroll. This was a perfect place to escape to for a few days to relax and reset. I would absolutely come back for another retreat.

A dreamlike stay at Elkenmist: Hearing the sounds of the creek, watching it stream by out the window of the yurt. Building warm fires in the wood stove. The most delicious, tranquil sauna. A farm on the precipice of a glorious forest with ancient alders, beavers, deer, elk, frogs, and more. Hosted by the most delightful people!

A gorgeous setting, Dark skies n Spruces; make sure to bring pillow, sleeping bag, blanket to the Red Lotus Belle site. Slumber in the cozy hammock or the tent. Tent was spacious enough for short and thin me, but go for the yurt if party of 2+. Thank you Den!

The property was beautiful and had lots of little trails to explore, Den was accommodating and flexible, it was really nice having a fire pit and kitchen space available. We stayed in one of the tents but if we cane back we would probably take the yurt because it looked amazing!

The yurt was a perfect spot for early season camping for myself, two friends and our three girls. There was plenty of space and the yurt was very tidy. The surrounding farm land and forest roads were a lot of fun for the girls to explore. The site hosts were very welcoming and even brought us extra kindling for the wood stove. All amenities shown on the listing were present and there was even fresh spring water available.

I understand it was only $75 a night for a yurt. However it would have been nice if they did some cleaning. Like sweep the floor and wash there blankets on the mattress they provide. The cushions, mattress, and sheets smelled like mildew and were all damp. They clearly were not cleaned. Luckily I brought my own mattress and blankets.
The host was nice. I enjoyed the property, it’s beautiful! They should just remove the blankets and mattress from the yurt. Unless they are going to clean it every time.

A must stay if you’re anywhere near the area! Elkenmist was one of the most beautiful stays we have had. They have quite literally thought of everything. The yurt itself was so incredibly spacious, even with three adults and three kiddos we had plenty of room. There are some mattresses and camp mats along with plenty of blankets and pillows inside and the mattresses rival the comfort of my one at home. The yurt also has a wood burning fireplace inside that was perfect for keeping warm as well as heating up water for coffee and coco without having to leave the yurt in the middle of the night. There are meadows, a gorgeous creek, and trails along the mountainside! Outside of the yurt there is a fire ring and a group of trees perfect for hanging a hammock. Up near the main house there is a very well stocked communal kitchen with a three burner propane stove as well as a shower, wood fire sauna and a cold plunge tub. This camp literally has everything you need, all that you want, and then some. The experimental trails all along the hillside are stunning with seating and hammocks throughout to stop and enjoy the quiet of the woods. If you have littles with you the gorgeous creek and huge meadow provide plenty of space to roam and explore. It felt so safe here and you can really feel the good energy that the hosts have emanating throughout the property. Everyone we encountered was so kind. Highly recommend!

This is a gorgeous, picturesque farm and Den is a friendly, accommodating host. There is a beautiful little creek and a magical huge old tree overhanging it, perfect for climbing and having quiet chats in the branches. We spent a lot of time petting the friendly sheep and looking at the pigs. We were there on one of their very first weekends open, and apparently it was the first time they had more than one group at the same time, so there were a few little kinks- it wasn't clear right away where we should camp, but Den helped us find a perfect spot and even built a campfire ring just for us. One of my favorite things is that it was truly quiet- at night, there was no human-made noise whatsoever (just wildlife and breezes).

Bridge Spruce Grove was a pleasant break from the riffraff of the rest of the world. Quiet. No cellular service, at least for this Verizon customer, made it a well need sabbatical from all of the interwebs. We didn't know where the potable water was, but a neighboring farm allowed us to fill our container. There were enough other campers present, that we didn't want to intrude if the water or other facilities (other than the loo) were in their space. We did manage to see a few of the Perseid Meteors cascading through the sky! My one jaunt in the night to use the facilities amazed me when I opened the tent door to be enveloped in a misty cloud. Very other wordly! We truly enjoyed our stay and especially the chats with your pig! She had a great deal to tell us! Thank you for stay!

There was ample space to camp, either close in to the farmhouse area or way farther out, away from everything. I chose the latter because I was seeking quiet and it was wonderful!

Super hidden but still spacious for multiple tents. There were trails and animals of all types on the farm that the kids could play with. Awesome and friendly staff that went out of their way to welcome us and make sure it was an amazing experience.
