This was such a gorgeous remote spot! 10/10 would recommend. The reviews that others have left are spot on. We arrived late at night so woke up to an incredible surprise with 360 mountain views. Very remote no cell service its perfect. The road in from the main is long and bumpy but so doable with out 4wd - took us about an hour to hr15 off main road for reference. Stay here and enjoy those stars, wow!

Great spot! Extremely secluded and when the wind wasn’t blowing it was probably to quietest spot I’ve ever been to. Site was well kept. Would recommend.

Great spot and beautiful views! Its very off the road and be prepared to rough it out, make sure you have a semi decent vehicle for offroad.

The views were amazing and during the five days we had camped here we only seen two vehicles. That said here are some key take aways. I believe they advertise a car could make it. If it’s a Subaru and non highway tires then sure but there is no way I would take a Camry out there. I came in a high clearance Toyota Tundra with only 2wd and I was second guessing myself on my first trip in. Make sure to have the coordinates set preferably in a dedicated gps system as other people said that there is no service and the roads that your Google Maps may want to take you is no longer the correct road and if you get off track your Google Maps may not refresh. That said once I found my way it was relatively easy to find every time. It was 9.5 miles once on dirt road and I would average 45 minutes on that road due to the rough terrain. These are not you average Midwest dirt roads or your typical National Park fire roads. If your main purpose is to see Big Bend as such as us it’s about 2 hours of travel to Chisos Basin even though it’s only sixty miles of road from camp site to destination. That said the camp site was clean and had what looked like pre loaded camp fire wood at the campsite. We loved the so quiet that you can hear your ears ring and the views were amazing and the night views spectacular. I would recommend this sight to anyone that has the proper equipment to experience at least once if you don’t want to be bothered by anyone. Would I come back? You betcha.

This campsite was amazing! From the privacy to the mild off-roading to get there, it was a unique experience for the family. It's hard to put into words the view of the stars from this campsite. Thank you for having this area as an option for my family. What was also amazing was the quiet you hear at night. A very unique experience.

Amazing spot, incredible views. If you want to unplug and be away from everyone and everything, this is your spot. Bring firewood, very little to find on-site. Definitely coming back. Would definitely recommend.

We’ve been using HipCamp for several years and THIS is one of our favorite campsites. Beautiful views and the quiet is amazing. There’s a great view of the Chisos as well. The road is navigable and we went back and forth four times easily in our Ford Superduty with camper. The site is well kept and we loved the solar lights and beautiful fire ring.

This was the most remote hipcamp I have ever stayed at which was what I was going for. Even so, I think I found my limit of remoteness and dirt roadness and it was right about here. Don't make my mistake and think you can go set up camp and run back to town for dinner, it takes much longer than Google maps says. No, this is a major adventure to navigate the dirt roads. That said it was very doable for my 30ft Skoolie(only scraped the hitch cargo carrier twice) , lots of fun, indescribably beautiful, so very quiet, never saw another car the whole time. Bring a blacklight and look for scorpions at night (a novel creature to this eastern US family)And wow, the stars...
