Great place to stay with great views and amazing sunrises and sunsets!!!!!
One of the most magical campsites we’ve been to! Panoramic views, stunning, spiritual, serene. Felt so lucky to book this last minute and to be welcomed with such kindness and hospitality from Stephanie and Bruce! We’ll definitely be back. A new favorite spot.

Awesome camping exerience(we did overlanding with our rooftop tent)place is tranquil and amazing and steph is super awesome making sure you'll feel welcome and comfortable,i highly recommend this place for those looking for a place to relax and enjoy the tranquility of big bend area and by the way they also have an abnb cabin(super nice and cozy)for those of you looking for more convenience and comfort specially larger group...cant wait to comeback👍👍👍

First time ever backpacking and this place is secluded and not too far away from civilization. I would recommend
Estrella Vista was fantastic! The views were beautiful and the stars were amazing. There was a comfortable breeze that kept us from getting too hot, which is saying something for June in the desert! Stephanie and Bruce answered all questions quickly and were extremely welcoming. The campsite itself was clean and set up to easily pitch a tent. I would highly recommend staying here.

I can’t thank Bruce and Stephanie enough- they went above and beyond to accommodate special requests and really made our stay unforgettable. Their property has amazing views and feels very private with easy access to terlingua, big bend and alpine. We will be back!
My wife and I celebrated our 8th anniversary here. It was an absolutely incredible experience. The view was spectacular at any time of day but the sunrise and sunset here are something to live for. The hiking just within the private land was amazing, and being so close to the Big Bend National Park was incredibly convenient. The camp site and the cabin they have on their land were both well maintained and very private.
The property owners were some of the most hospitable and kind people I have met.
The site was private, but not too secluded. Our hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. The stars and the sunrise were totally unreal. I hope to stay here again soon so that I can spend more time enjoying and hiking in Terlingua.

we had a great time at this site! its on a beautiful little hill, so the view is great. Stephanie was a great host. Directions were easy to follow.
Estrella Vista was hands down one of the best campsites we have ever experienced. Stephanie and Bruce are great attentive hosts with TONS of history stories making for the perfect setting. There was peace and tranquility every where we explored. The backdrop of the site is beautiful with a volcano mountain as your neighbor! Even though we intended to see Big Bend National Park, we spent MOST of the time enjoying our surroundings at the campsite. There were plenty of hiking opportunities, sightings such as: rare birds, the BIGGEST crow I have ever seen - the Rio Crow, javelina (which looks like a hairy boar but actually is NOT part of the pig family -- it's a mammal!). We missed the opportunity, but there is even a local natural spring. Amenities: such as showers, running water, and electricity are not yet available at the immediate site. But the drive to the lodge down Terlingua Rd was filled with beautiful, fresh scented, bluebonnets and was relative easy access to anything you may need (including a cafe). I recommend bringing a campsize portapotty and a 5 gallon drinking water jug with pump like we did. The casita and cover kept our tent safely nestled from the wind and elements, and the dust was surprising low at this site. An especially notable feature when compared to other sites we saw while visiting Terlingua Ghost Town. Our ride to Big Bend from the campsite went quickly (felt like we were right around the corner). But my all time FAVORITE feature of our stay was the AMAZING SOUND of true SILENCE! I didn't realize, until that moment, that I have never... ever experienced that in my entire life. Priceless...
This was such a treat. There are hot showers (the bathroom even has a heater) located about 8 miles from the site at the main ranch lodge. There was plenty of privacy and it was so quiet out in the middle of the mountains I didn't even need the ear plugs I normally use when I camp. I really enjoyed the little cabin's character and the local culture it displays.
It really wasn't far from the Study Butte Big Bend exit-- off 118, there is a large white sign-well lit- that says "Terlingua Ranch". I hope to stay here again. It was a truly magical experience. I've always stayed inside the Big Bend NP but this was far more enjoyable. I hope to stay here or other places like this for future trips to the area.
