Guests will enjoy a spacious area, but please note there may be another group 500 feet up the river. Guests will have access to a portable restroom and fresh potable water near the campsite.

Rocky's Retreat

What a great spot to camp. We had my daughter's birthday at the farm. We were able to set up right by the river. There are picnic tables and a fire pit. The porta pott was really clean. Communication was great. We were easily able to find and access the camp grounds. It was the perfect day! We will definitely be back.

Adam & his father Tommy were excellent hosts, attentive but not overbearing. Our stay was dampened a bit by near endless rain, but they had dry firewood at the site, with instructions to get more if needed. The site itself was spacious, with nice surrounding views. Porta-John was convenient, with a water hose outside - great for washing off MTBs after rides in the area. This trip was MTB focused & Riverview Farm's location was perfect. With Cognative Coffee/MTB, The Hub just minutes away. Whether riding Pisgah or Dupont, it's a short drive. Looking forward to future stays here.

Rocky's Retreat

I loved camping by the river! This was a great site. There’s even an open field which is perfect for playing frisbee or tossing a football etc. There’s also a local butcher down the road and an Ingles grocery store too. I’d highly recommend going. Rocky’s Retreat campsite has some good trees for tying up a tarp if it’s raining, but i’d recommend bringing a standalone tarp structure to save time since the trees don’t have a lot of branches.

We loved camping here! The site was beautiful, there was so much space, and we were right on the French Broad River. The family is super nice and they were extremely helpful if we needed more wood and communicated back really fast. Adam gave us a tour of the farm and our 2 year old got to feed the chickens and see the cows. Beautiful property, friendly hosts, and having an abundance of space to explore made this stay an awesome one! We will be back!
