Set on 12 acres of historic land once part of a Ford dairy farm in the 1800s and later an apple orchard, this quiet retreat offers a unique blend of open space and local history. Our site features easy access with a newly installed gravel driveway (no more mud!), making it ideal for tents, vans, and small RVs. Located just minutes from the Herkimer Diamond Mines and within reach of the Adirondack region, it’s a great basecamp for exploring—or simply relaxing in total privacy. I loved camping on Robert’s land! It was scenic and beautiful with sunrises, sunsets and a sky full of stars. The site was just as described with water, the nicest outhouse and an easy road for our camper van. There were lots of great little touches like a light by the outhouse and the site was mowed. Robert provided easy directions and was very communicative. The whole experience was super easy and I would highly recommend staying here!

A nice property - but in wet weather it is not doable because of the wet ground and the hill. This spring was unordinarily wet however. It is also great for training my retrievers on marks and blind retrieves.

I have stayed here a number of times. I love camping at this Hipcamp. I will say that during rainy weather it might not be possible to access the campsite without getting stuck if you do not have 4-wheel drive. Because it rained everyday of my stay and because I was only using the Hipcamp as a place to sleep at night, I camped up near the gate so I would not get stuck. If you plan to use the campsite during the day, make sure you will have good weather or a vehicle that can access the sloped grassy driveway.
