This is definitely a great spot! I camped here with my two dogs and it was the best experience. With only one other campsite across the pond it was a great spot to bring reactive dogs. It was private, quiet, clean and very beautiful!

Reading some of the recent reviews, I was initially uncertain this would be a good site for our camper van. We had a GREAT time here. The views of the pond were beautiful, and the other site far enough away to remain private - the main reason we even choose hip camps over campgrounds. The outhouse was sufficient, though we opted to use the toilet in our camper van. We’d come back for sure.

We ended up not staying at this location. Once we arrived, it was clear that it was not motorcycle friendly with a grass trail leading to the site. Our motorcycles are 850 lbs and not condusive to this location. I would suggest that the owner provide better details and pictures of the path into the lot.

Could not find campsite, did not feel safe with dogs attacking, and host was not responsive to either myself or Hipcamp support team.

Great private site with a nice view. Lots of bugs in the pond but we did not have an issue. Would recommend for a small group. Host was friendly.

We took our family of 4 out for the weekend and had a great time at Eric’s place. The 2 sites are across the pond with no direct line of site so the privacy was nice. Lots of wildlife around. We saw a couple deer, an otter playing in the water. The water isn’t very deep and didn’t have any luck seeing many fish. no issues at all with bugs. It rained a couple times so collecting wood there wasn’t really an option. This are places to purchase wood fairly close for $5/ bundle. There is a private pit outhouse for each site. It was super clean and just far away to be out of site, about 25 yards from our main area. We brought our dog and placed her on a runner line and had no issues at all. Would stay here again.

Absolutely lovely camp spot next to a quiet pond. The two camp sites on the property are spaced well apart - one site on each side of the pond. And I typically don’t review outhouses, but the one at the site was the cleanest I’ve ever seen.

I loved the area! It was secluded and in such a neat, tucked away spot. You really felt like you were out in the middle of nowhere! The site was clean and spacious. My daughter loved playing by the water and exploring near our site with our dog. It really was such a beautiful spot and will definitely return to stay again!

Camping at Eric's site #1 was really special. The area was clean, private, and the rules were simple and easy to follow. We observed a beaver eating reeds i the pond, many different bird species, frogs, etc. The site is close enough to Placid and there's countless outdoor activities to explore in the area. I'd come back to this camp site.

Eric’s site was very cozy, the ground was very soft & comfortable to sleep on, and the pond was beautiful to wake up to. Relatively close to everything we wanted to see and good places to eat. My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay at this site and we can’t wait to come back

This site is magical. It's beautiful, private, quiet, and no noise from local roads. There are native flowers blooming and blueberry bushes next to the water too. You could hear the frogs making noise at night, and the birds and ducks were so peaceful to watch. I felt like I was in a fairy tale.
The outhouse was the cleanest one I've been in-no smell even when sitting in there with the door closed. My husband and I didn't want to leave!
