Welcome to this remote piece of paradise! Rhapsody is located in Gingkin,, which is not far from Oberon NSW, about 3 hours west of Sydney. Campsites are hidden in a remote valley direct frontage to the pristine Hollanders River, adjoining the Kanangra-Boyd National Park. There are two private campsites on grassy river flats surrounded by eucalyptus forest. The sites are very secluded so you will see lots of wildlife and you're guaranteed not to see any other people! Only one group can stay at each campsite and campsites are on different parts of the river so privacy is guaranteed. In dry conditions 2WD is fine. In wet weather, 4WD is required. You can always park at the top of the hill and walk down first if you're not sure. Dog friendly. Campfires permitted in a designated area when restrictions aren't in place. Gather your own wood from fallen timber on the way in or BYO wood. Not much firewood available on site. Both campsites can get quite cool as they are low in the valley. This is a wild and remote area. Guided remote bushwalks also available for those who are fit and adventurous. Both campsites have a pit toilets, cold shower, spring water on tap, picnic tables.. Water is sourced from a distant spring in the mountain and is gravity fed to the site by above ground pipe which heats the water during the day. There is a small area where you can get Telstra mobile reception at the cattle grid on the way into the property, but very limited mobile reception in this area. If you are on Optus or other networks you won't get any reception. There is no mobile reception at camp - perfect for disconnecting and reconnecting with nature!

Honeymoon serenity
Was a beautiful week away in serenity. Outdoor shower and toilet a huge plus. Had a resident wombat next to the camp. Very little solar during winter. Sun sat behind trees all day and went behind the hill early afternoon. 4wd recommended for the entry hill. Quite steep but not technical. Couple of small holes to avoid. I brought in a squaredrop no problem. It was a pleasure waking up to the view every morning. Lots of flat open ground. Table and fireplace, everything is ready for you to rock up. Lots of trout in the river. Wish I brought a rod. Only regret is we couldn’t stay longer

Great campsite
We had a great weekend at Wallaby Flat. Private campsite with plenty of space. Nice grass surface and a good mix of sun and shade. The inclusion of toilet and shower on site just makes it easier and more convenient. It was very relaxing.

By the river with some wombats
Great spot, size enough for a group of 6 or so. River is amazing, and the amenities are sufficient. We opted for the hike to the waterfall and Danny was an excellent, charismatic guide, and was definitely worth. Would highly recommend.

Amazing.
Such an incredible campsite. You get the whole place to yourself, right on the banks of the river. Listening to the river running during the night in bed and sitting in front of the fire with the river running in the background - just bliss. A proper escape - no phone reception in the valley either which made us appreciate it all that much more. Will be back! Thanks Danny!

⛺️ Quiet tranquil spot right next to the Hollanders river with own private pebbly beach. 🔥Open fire pit and picnic table also available. Ensure you bring your own firewood. 🚻 Drop toilet is available. 🚿 Cold shower is available with gravity fed river water on tap. Bring your own drinking water. 🎣 Trout Fishing available, you may want to check ahead with the owner to see if it’s been overfished. 🥾 Borders National Park and guided hiking is available through owner, although we were quite happy exploring up and down stream. ☎️ No phone service. 🐶 Dogs are permitted.

Beautiful location, healthy river with quite a few good fish. Peaceful n remote. The last 200 m as indicated is steep and slippery. Our AWD managed to get down and up and we left the 2wd at the top. Kids enjoyed the trip and we even got to meet the local wombat!

Secluded Paradise
Wallaby Flat is a secluded little paradise for those wishing privacy, peace, nature and space. The campsite is large and adjacent to a lively stream with at least two pools for swimming. There is a shower and a loo and a big table with chairs, a generous setting. Highly recommend.

It refreshing to explore areas that you haven't seen. The property is remote and it was fantastic to have the site all to ourselves beside the river. If bringing in a caravan Wallaby Campsite is a tight squeeze and you might have to do some track clearing for about 300m to the site. We took an 18ft off road van. The property is tranquil and a real opportunity to reconnect with nature,.

Danny’s campsite is an adventure for the senses. Just driving to the property is a treat for the eyes—endless rolling hills, wildlife everywhere, and sceneries for days. Whether you pick Platypus Flats or Wallaby Flats, you’re in for complete privacy. Each campsite has its own outdoor shower and toilet, and a grand view of the river that snakes through the whole property. There is a designated fireplace and Danny was so kind to leave some firewood and kindling for us when we got there. A picnic table is also there so we didn’t even need to bring out our own table for putting food and fishing gear. We availed of the trout fishing add-on where Danny taught us how to do freshwater fishing just by the river—a literal couple of steps from your campsite. The hike is not for the faint-hearted. It is expert level. I definitely was in over my head. You have to abseil down the cliff where you only have ropes tied to trees to guide you down and a couple of river crossings in raging rapids depending on the weather. Suffice it to say, our 6-hour hike turned to be a 9-hour one. The waterfall was majestic. Definitely recommend to just stay at the base of the waterfalls though rather than climb it as you may find yourself looking at a really big drop and holding on to slippery rocks! Overall, it was the most adventurous camping experience we’ve ever had. Danny was great company. If you’re looking for the ultimate Hipcamp adventure, this is 100% the place to go!
