Beautiful Spot!
We had such a wonderful time at Oakview. The kids had a blast playing in the river and spotting all kinds of birdlife and butterflies. The site was totally private and easily accessible with our small offroad caravan with plenty of space to turn around to park. Highly recommend. We will be back for sure!

So peaceful..
It's not something I want to share, as this is one of those locations you'd like to keep a secret just for yourself :)
It was our first camp of the season, so there's always the challenge of "what did I forget?", but once we arrived that thought was a distant memory, there was nothing more you could want when camping here.
Absolutely stunning camping location right on the river in a beautiful part of the world, so peaceful and serene.
Communication from Sally was exceptional; great directions and lots of useful, timely information shared.
We will certainly be looking forward to another trip to Oakview.

Oakview on the river is a fantastic spot for bush camping. The rock shelf where we set up is perfect for swimming off, plenty of firewood available, lots of places for kids to explore. It's a beautiful clean river, our family just loves it there.

Peaceful and Relaxing
Writing a negative review about this camping site would be a compliment... as we enjoyed our stay here that it is really hard to tell the world about it. 😉
We had a wonderful time at Oakview, camping right in front of Fish River was amazing. We spent so much time exploring around the river and swimming - plenty of swimming spots along the along the river too. My kids enjoyed watching the cows doing cow things and list listening to the wildlife. Just be mindful about snakes during warmer months, we saw one swimming in the water. Sleeping just by the sound of the river during the night, very peaceful and quiet camp site.
Sally is an amazing host too. Direction to the campsite was spot on. She visited us as well to make sure we were settled in and had a great chat.
This is a 4WD access only campground as it can get steep in small sections and a river crossing if camping on the opposite side. During our stay, the river was low (approx. knee deep), so it was not too bad.
Would we come back here again? Definitely... adding this place to my ♥ list.
