Our property is nestled in 2000 acres of totally private wilderness in the centre of the lush valley in the heart of the Blue Mountains. Experience the magnificent ancient rainforest glen with a canopy of tree ferns, caves and huge towering gum trees. Savour the moment and feel the magic of simplicity in our world of nature. Renowned for their spectacular scenery, the Megalong Valley Farm offers fresh mountain air, history and wildlife. Guests can expect some of the most spectacular sunsets, sunrises and scenery in the Blue Mountains. While you're here, check out some of the iconic destinations our region has to offer. We offer a range of camping options, glamping and accommodation in the guesthouse. There is something to suit every taste. BEFORE YOU ARRIVE PHONES: Phone reception is good, there is a Telstra exchange on the property. ROADS: Roads around the sites are unsealed, but most normal cars and the average SUV handle it okay. The road down into the Megalong Valley is tar sealed, very scenic but winding. ICE: Bring your own ice WOOD: Timber can be purchased at reception. We are an environmental biodiversity precinct so don’t permit damage to vegetation. FIRES: Plenty of existing fire spots SHOPS: The township of Blackheath is 15klm away up on the Gt Western Hwy, none in the Valley SHADE: Plenty of shady areas WATER: We are on town water NOISE: Shutdown time for music is 10pm - no exceptions! but you can still enjoy the fires - quietly. THINGS TO DO: TEA ROOMS 2 klm away VINEYARDS 4klms away, on the Six Ft Hiking Track. SWIMMING: Old Ford Reserve 2.5 klm away SCENIC RAILWAY 25 Klms away at Katoomba and 40 minutes travel time BIKE & WALKING TRACKS: Plenty of bush tracks You are reminded to allow enough time to arrive for this property.prior to dark, which is 5.30 in winter. It is difficult to find a wilderness campsite in the dark and disturbs other campers. We are requiring ALL vehicles to get registered PRIOR to going up to the site, resulting from so many vehicles trespassing at the venue and causing nuisances for other campers Please indicate the details of cars such as make, model , colour and rego number prior to arrival. We must also remind campers that this is not a venue for noisy partying as we are a quiet wilderness environmental zone. We do not tolerate it and will remove offenders. In the middle of Blue Mountains

Amazing property, in the middle of the Blue Mountains National Park with heaps of walks and waterfalls nearby. Lots of friendly farm and wild animals. Hosts are welcoming and friendly, will definitely come back.

Megalong Valley Farm Camp

Great views and very quiet, however there was no one when we arrived at 5pm (prior to the 5:30pm cut off as communicated on the day) and we had no idea where to set up. After multiple texts and a message on hip camp we received instructions. There was no one else camping and it seems (and mostly smelled) that the amenities blocked hadn’t been cleaned for a while. Nice camp site overall, but not worth the $60 if you as us

Great location in a beautiful part of the world. Close to walks and wineries and a short drive to Katoomba. Our few nights were nice and peaceful with plenty of space and beautiful sunsets

Ideal campsite, felt like you were in the middle of no where with the most stunning mountain views and incredible starlit sky! The toilets and shower were amazing too - so clean and convenient. The fire pits ever great to know where to set up, and the horses and kangaroos amongst the camper felt like we were in the wilderness. Defiantly recommend camping here - we will be back for sure!

Really friendly reception. Camp ground had amazing views of the mountain, horses and donkies. Full phone signal, clean toilets, powerful and warm showers. Only down side was that the camping area grass was pretty over grown unlike what is in the photos.

Megalong Farm Group Campouts

Gary’s Farm site was a great spot to camp! You are surrounded by the natural beauty of the Blue Mountains and a lot of friendly wildlife too! We saw horses, alpacas, and kangaroos too. The toilet amenities are great and kept clean, the hot showers were a blessing as well. Gary was very kind and provided us with a list of treks and lookout spots around the area. Great stay overall, would definitely come here again.

Authentic Experience

Perfect spot for watching the night stars! Host is friendly and toilets are clean. I recommend this camp if you want an authentic bush experience (nature walks near by and animals roam free). P.s. Remember to bring your insect repellent if your prone to a few bites like me!

Amazing site, plenty of land with heaps of farm and native animals. facilities are kept very clean and are great for all sorts of campers. Location is not far from the shops in blackheath and even katoomba so was a perfect stay.

Great Experience

Such a lovely place to camp, very spacious camp ground, quick response from host. The only downside is that the garbage bins are not available, so you need to take some bin liners. Its good in a way you get responsible for your own waste. And there were a lot of ponies we could watch and play with. We were there for 2 nights, wanted to stay longer but couldn’t coz of work commitments. We will definitely come back and for longer time next time😊 Overall it was a great place to camp!

Great location, good for groups or

Really great location with reasonable clean bathrooms. Windows did have a heap of spider webs. Girls bathroom even had a hair dryer if interested. Had sufficient toilet paper. Great you could choose where to stay and could have a fire. Which we did each night (stayed in january) the fire wood is really expensive and barely get much in the bag. Suggest bring own. Grass needed a mow as it was very over grown. Could tell it once wad really loved but the front area where you sign in was run down. If you forget anything you will need to go to town, such as oil etc. No mini store. Loved the roaming animals. So gorgeous. Overall good experience

It was great to camp at Megalong Valley Farm. The paddock was massive, so there was plenty of space to set up tent. It had great amenities and it was amazing to see animals walking around freely.
