A place to stay under a canopy of stars, next to the pond banks. You'll discover the amazing sounds of the Ozarks especially the tree frogs. This place is alive, there's plenty of hiking, canoeing, and exploring all around the Ozark Hippie Camp. You'll have day use access at the Hurricane Creek, this property is for rent for creek side camping with a falling water spot located on Airbnb under the same name Ozark Hippie Camp. Feel free to rent both spots for bigger groups. Turner Mill or Greer Park are the closest full restrooms, most camper bring their own, we're working on the extras to make it more comfortable. But if you're looking for a good spirit place to unwind, we are in the heart of the natural Ozarks! You can feel the mountains breathing and have so much pure energy fresh spring water all around us. 420 Friendly no problem with natural medicine here at the Ozark Hippie Camp., enjoy life and your time here! Go past the private property sign at the gate entrance.

Lance is the host with the most! We had the best time watching the eclipse from his beautiful campsite. Super dark, starry skies, lightning bugs, and lots of birdsong. Absolutely a perfect stay. Thank you for everything, Lance!

Ozark Hippie Camp (Primitive #10)
The property was private, secluded and Lance was the best host you could imagine! I was very blessed to have the opportunity to witness totality for the 2024 solar eclipse on his property. What a magical experience, not to mention all the other wonderful people I met during my stay. Would definitely recommend and would like to come back for a visit again in the future! Thanks Lance for your hospitality and for sharing your little slice of heaven with us!

Ozark Hippie Camp - RV Spot (1)
Lance is a great host and the location was exactly what we were hoping for the eclipse. Lance made us feel welcome and appreciated. He helped us know where to explore. We did many hikes and used his location as a base to travel to springs and other sites in the region. We likely will return in the fall.

Ozark Hippie Camp (Primitive #6)
Beautiful land and friendly people. It was way further off the beaten path than wr expected, and not well marked. The entry was very bumpy incline that broke our original rv mirror, and we were taken to an area with cacti near the door and not warned about it. Grateful our dog did not step in them.

Ozark Hippie Camp (Primitive #8)
I can't say enough about this place. Very beautiful, pristine, and Lance is so welcoming. If you can imagine Matthew McConaughy with more charisma and less judgement, you have met Lance. You won't be disappointed camping in this Missouri hollow next to a stream and just miles from so much beauty. Lance took us to a large hidden natural spring that was tucked away in another hollow and it was very cool. Book and enjoy a carefree experience.

Ozark Hippie Camp (Primitive #2)
A very accommodating host and a tucked away beautiful area. We went for the eclipse, but found the entire area rich in history and natural beauty. The pasture at the bottom is flat and grassy with an unobstructed view of the sky. It has a crystal clear stream running through it and great energy. It was our first time in the area but we would go back again to see more of the surrounding National forest.

Lance is such a nice person. He is very helpful and made us feel welcome the minute we got there. He checked in with us several times. He gave us information of the land and camp sight. Everybody at the camp sight was very friendly and we felt safe the entire time. I would highly recommend staying here.

Ozark Hippie Camp - Moutaintop
This place was amazing! Perfect for witnessing the eclipse. Honestly, we didn’t get out to see all the other components of the property like the healing deck, the caves, the creek/river, but the section we were in was great. We were too hyper focused on getting ready to see/image the eclipse. Lance is one heck of a host and he is as much of a reason to return as the land. He was so gracious and helpful and we were grateful for him and his hospitality. Thanks Lance and the OHC!

Ozark Hippie Camp - Moutaintop
Most of the time, my family and I arrive late, set up our tent in the dark, sleep, wake up, pack up, and leave. Ideally, the site would be easy to find with a parking spot, a flat space for a tent, and a firepit all close together. This is that kind of site.
