Sunrise Lake Family Campground, a charming retreat location, offers guests access to the beautiful 80-acre all-sports Sunrise Lake—perfect for paddling, fishing, or swimming. With tree coverage, a quiet setting, and modern bathhouses, the campground gives you the outdoor experience with all the convenience. Bring your ORV and ride the trails located just across the road, or simply kick back and enjoy a peaceful, quiet weekend by the fire. Whether you're adventuring on the trails or relaxing lakeside, we offer the perfect backdrop for a Pure Michigan summer memory!

Whether you are here to kayak, fish, ride ATV/ORV trails, or simply sit by the fire and watch the sunset, this is your home base for northern Michigan adventure. Settle into this charming Amish-style cabin with everything you need for a comfortable lakeside stay — no tent or RV required. The cabin sleeps 4 comfortably with a private bedroom featuring a queen bed and a living room with a queen futon, plus a full bathroom, and a cozy kitchen area with table and seating for four. Your lakeside lot includes a fire ring with cooking grate, outdoor lighting, and water access — perfect for evening campfires and stargazing over Sunrise Lake. We’ve taken care of the essentials so you can pack light: bed linens and towels, a coffee maker, microwave, toaster, electric skillet, full place settings for 4, and a refrigerator are all ready for your arrival. For your outdoor cooking, plan to bring your preferred cookware and utensils. On cooler nights, a wall-mounted propane heater keeps the cabin warm and cozy. Fox Den sits right on the shores of Sunrise Lake, part of the privately owned Sunrise Lake Family Campground (not to be confused with the Sunrise Lake State Forest Campground nearby). As our guest, you have full access to our private beaches, paddle boats, and the peaceful lake itself. Beyond the water, you’re perfectly positioned for northern Michigan adventure. ATV and ORV riders will love our location — just across the road from 12,000 acres of state land with trails winding through the Osceola County DNR forest. Don’t have a rig? Rent one from Greater North Power Sports and Rentals in Cadillac. A DNR boat launch is right next door, so don’t forget the fishing poles. When you’re ready to explore, the charming towns of LeRoy, Evart, Cadillac, and Marion are all just a short drive away. Come ready to truly unplug. Fox Den is nestled in a rural setting where cell service is limited and WiFi isn’t available — and for most of our guests, that’s exactly the point. Welcome to Ben’s Bungalow at Sunrise Lake Family Campground! Ditch the WiFi, grab a paddle. Wake up steps from an all-sports lake, ride 12,000 acres of DNR trails across the road, and fall asleep to nothing but crickets and campfire crackle. Ben’s Bungalow is your lakeside escape from the everyday — fully set up and ready for you. Pets welcome! 🐾 Comfortably set up for up to 4 guests, the camper features a living area with a convertible bed, a fully equipped kitchen space with stovetop, mini fridge, coffee maker, toaster, and skillet, plus a private sleeping area with a fold-out queen mattress. Climate control, lighting, and all onboard amenities are fully powered — so you stay comfortable no matter the weather. A Few Things to Know Before You Arrive This is a “dry” camper setup, meaning there’s no water line connected directly to the unit — but a site spigot is right outside for easy access. For showering, our fully renovated campground bathhouses are steps away and well worth the short walk. The fold-out queen bed comes with linens provided - just show up and sleep! If you're using the convertible bed in the living space, you'll want to pack your own sleeping bag or bedding. We also provide towels, paperware, basic dishes and utensils, a coffee maker, toaster, and skillet, so the kitchen essentials are covered. For anything beyond that (such as cookware and campfire cooking gear) pack what you love. Think of it like a camping trip where someone already set up the camp for you.
