The Sanctuary at Oaks offers a peaceful and secluded retreat in Charlotte Hall, Maryland. This property is perfect for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Explore the on-site creek, set up camp with your RV or tent, and enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings. Conveniently located near essential amenities—including gas stations, grocery stores, and hardware stores—it also provides easy access to Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Maryland International Raceway, and Budds Creek. Water, electricity, trash, and Wi-Fi are available, but please note there are no restrooms, indoor facilities, or an RV dump station. Small campsite fires are permitted, subject to owner approval and local fire guidance. One leashed dog per site is welcome with proof of vaccinations. Guest profiles are review and proof of valid identification for all guests over 18 is required. We offer a minimum one-night stay or a maximum 14-night stay. For your awareness: We share a property line with the county, and during the day, you may hear officers practicing at the range, and a horse farm so you'll hear dogs barking and see horses grazing.

Located near outdoor attractions, The Sanctuary at Oaks is just minutes from Oak Ridge Park, perfect for hiking and baseball games, and Gilbert Run Park, where you can enjoy freshwater fishing, boating, and kayaking. For convenience, the property is only two miles from gas stations, grocery stores, and a hardware store in Charlotte Hall. Additionally, it's just 11 miles (a 20-minute drive) to Budds Creek Motocross Park, Maryland International Raceway, and Potomac Speedway—making it an excellent base for motorsports fans. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings of this spacious property, featuring wooded areas, a creek, and a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. As a courtesy to future guests, please leave the space as good or better than you found it.

They were super accommodating and very friendly. The site was peaceful and out of the way. We even had electric and water at our disposal. Thank you both for a perfect stay. I will be back when I fish in another Potomac River tournament :)

SOMD is known for it's history and farmland. The Oaks is a retired horse sanctuary located less than 10 minutes away from conveniences. It's located in a private country setting, conveniently located at the northern end of St. Mary's. With open fields, there's plenty acres of space to explore, bird watch, as well as do some pretty awesome star gazing on clear nights. It's mostly quiet... the property does neighbor a police gun-range and the hosts do have hounds, and at night you can hear the owls and foxes, but all country noises that didn't bother us at all. We (toddler and dog) enjoyed the serenity, picking dandelions, searching for bugs, looking at the horses, and watching the property come back to life during spring. We had the entire site to ourselves, Beth made sure to check-in periodically to make sure we were ok and to inform us of any guests that would be staying at their Air BnB and her husband would come take our trash away, it's a sanctuary for sure.

A True Sanctuary! Wonderful hosts that are very accommodating. Beautiful Camp Ground with clear starry skies at night! 5/5! Couldn't have pictured anything better

Fantastic hosts Beth & Jake have a diamond in the rough here. They are fantastic hosts that provide privacy and very helpful knowledge of local points of interest and much needed supply chains. The bottom half of the 5 acres is great for the summer months as the sun sets behind the house and trees. The upper half where the electric and water are located are ideal in cooler months.
