Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.

A quiet secluded camping area on a 40+ acre property across from Patten Bay in Surry, ME. Acadia and Bar Harbor within 30 minute drive, downtown Ellsworth 10 minute drive and Bangor 40 minutes. We are currently working on our land and the road out to the camp site is a little rough with stumps, ruts, and roots. A vehicle with higher ground clearance and possibly 4wd is recommended. Convenience store and deli located right next door for basic needs and a local icecream shop, Pugnuts, within walking distance as well. Dry camping only at this time. May change in the future or for longer stays, but we’re new hosts and want to keep this simple right now :) we have a picnic table located at the camp site and are working on fire ring. We will have trash bin out there and be able to take a bag of trash after your stay. Please follow the 7 leave no trace principles. Approximately 1 acre cleared and level for tent camping with remaining 40 acres wooded. Hopefully will be open for RV camping in the near future when we clear more out of the trails. Convenience store and deli located next door for basic needs and food. There are some basic ATV trails we’ve cut through the woods that you are welcome to use as long as you are respectful, our property does connect to the near by elementary school’s soccer field. Dry camping only at this time. May change in the future or for longer stays but as new hosts this is easiest for us for now. Please follow the 7 leave no trace guidelines. This is home to our family and we take pride in our property. We're pretty flexible, early check in and late check out may be possible just inquire and we can try to work with you!

Taylor was a very attentive host and we were greeted when we arrived! The location is in perfect proximity to Ellsworth, Bar Harbor, and Acadia. Even with the location being closer to a more populated road, it was quiet, private, and peaceful. We will definitely be back if given the opportunity!!
