We have a nice little RV pad on the back of our coastal home. Situated on a little bayou that opens out into Choctawhatchee Bay. Crab Island is only a 10 minute boat ride away. You would have access to our small dock and there is a neighborhood boat ramp less than one hundred feet away. This is a great place for kayaks, wave runners, and small boats. If you don't have a boat, we can set up any kind of trip you want. We are all licensed captains and own multiple Crab Island businesses. So we can set up charters for you on the following boats: Sailing trip on a restored 1963 Pearson Ensign. Can accommodate up to 6 people. This is a classic sailboat that is easy to sail and easy to learn to sail. A restored 1966 Boston Whaler that is perfect for couples looking for a sunset cruise, etc. Can accommodate up to 6 people but it perfect for 2 -4. We can go to Crab Island, look for dolphins or find our own private island beach. Waverunner tours. We can take you on a guided wave runner tour looking for dolphins and private beaches. You will drive one wave runner while our licensed captain guided you on another one. Insurance does not allow us to rent these out solo but there are many good vendors in the area to do that. Inshore flats skiff targeting redfish and trout on light spinning gear and fly rods. This boat is best fished with no more than 3 people. Rates: $150 per hour for less than 3 hours $500 for half day (4 hours) $600 for 6 hours The neighborhood is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Fort Walton with large oaks and magnolias providing plenty of shade for bike riding and walking. Downtown Fort Walton with its shops and quaint restaurants is only a mile away. Didn't bring a bike, we have 2 you can use. During the summer, there are fireworks every Wednesday night that are viewable from this spot. The site comes with water/sewer and 30 Amp hookup. Eric's campsite stands out for its serene and convenient location, close to the beach and local attractions while offering a peaceful setting by the bay. Guests appreciate the privacy compared to typical campgrounds and enjoy activities like paddleboarding and sunset watching. Eric and his family receive high praise for their friendly and accommodating nature. While nearly all feedback is positive, one review noted minor issues with the dock and grass access.

Eric has a great space and convenient to the beach, shopping and nightlife but yet it sits on the bay where it is nice and peaceful.

We absolutely adored this spot. Eric was super friendly and very helpful for us to maneuver our 34’ tow trailer. He even saved the (public) spot in front of the rv space so we could arrive and park seamlessly. Way more privacy than a campground, better views, more residential feel. We took our SUP onto their harbor and into the bay every night for sunsets. Easy paddle. Bonus: great views of fireworks on the beach, close to Publix, views of the water, and a cute patio and fireplace setup behind the rig.

Here's what we did... Camped on site. Hooked up to fresh and sewer. Made arrangements w/ Eric for a Sunset Cruise on Sunday. Eric and his family (wife and daughters) are great 'salt-o-earth' folks. Easy. Accommodating. Communicative. Its not a remote camp in the Colorado woods, but it is aomewhat private and the folks make their presence scarce. Ask about Crab Isl. Ask about the great public beaches in FWB. Eric and Darlene are life-long residents and can give all the pointers you'd want. The spot is 100' from water. Bring your own boat or kayak. I had arranged for a cruise at sunset with a little extra heap'n helpin of 'romantic', and they delivered! A great down home presentation of goodies, all the stuff for beverages of your choice, and a private spot to watch the sun set over western skies. Our Cap'n Darlene superbly maneuvered into secluded islands and beaches. Go ashore and she'll set up chairs on a secluded beach. Or choose to stay aboard and she will go find the best spot to watch the colors. She is there to please. All in all, great spot to camp with great folks providing a touch and knowledge of what's what. Book'em if you like something a little less noisy and more refined in all the right ways. Great folks!
