We live in Florida, there are TERRIBLE Fire Ants here! Best to camp in the TREES!! An entire small, "EWOK-VILLAGE STYLE" region of our 2.5 wooded acres will be dedicated to this project. EACH tree-tent will be $25/night (including 2 people). You MAY bring additional regular tent, of your own to use-it is $10/add'l person, per night. We will provide fresh drinking water and freshly baked bread, for a nominal breakfast fee/tip for the owner/baker in residence. The owners expect the HipCampers to leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated by their natural surroundings, while also leaving all spaces used/borrowed clean and free of trash and personal items.

Included in your stay with us at La Quinta Bonita farm is our small, 2 person pop-up camper named THE HAPPY CAMPER but, she can accommodate 4 (snugly!). It includes heat and A/C and comes equipped with: a small refrigerator and cooking appliances. It is located on a wooded area, with a hammock, upon request and you MAY bring additional tents to set up, if you like. There is a private sitting area included in this site. We will provide fresh drinking water and freshly baked bread, for a nominal breakfast fee/tip for the owner/baker in residence. The owners expect the HipCampers to leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated by their natural surroundings, while also leaving all spaces used/borrowed clean and free of trash and personal items.

What a lovely stay we had at La Quinta! My 2 children and I stayed in the camper (summer in Florida/gotta have AC)! The camper was so comfy and cool. The property was beautiful- old Florida with veggies, critters, and a large, established tree canopy. The hosts were so pleasant and friendly. We got some cookies and sourdough bread- and it was amazing! Kelley gave us a tour of their garden and we ate fresh yummy tomatoes! Highly recommend - close to many great activities- short drives to St. Augustine, the beaches, the forts, and Ravines state park- I definitely recommend staying at La Quinta and exploring NE Florida!

I stayed 2 nights at La Quinta Bonita and I’ll tell you what. - what a peaceful little retreat with such down-to-earth and easy-going helpful hosts! If only time and life had allowed for a longer stay, I would not have hesitated to extend mine. With the exception of nature’s nightly medley of hoots and howls (which is what this city boy NEEDS on retreats! lol ), the quiet was very refreshing. The little camper is bigger than meets the eye when you enter it. Shower, toilet, all I needed worked well. Running water throughout. Fresh eggs and hand-picked veggies for breakfast was a plus. Best omelet I’ve made in a long time. When I arrived, I was shown around and if I needed help, it was easy to get. I’m very much looking forward to many visits to come.
