Beautiful views of Twin Peaks A (South and North), Little Bear Peak, and several surrounding peaks! The property was easy to find, and Neal provided clear instructions for parking and tent setup. The campsite itself is rustic and primitive, featuring a fire pit and two cleared areas suitable for tents. Guests should plan to bring their own water, as well as a portable restroom setup if not traveling in a van, camper, or trailer. The unobstructed sunrise and sunset views were absolutely spectacular. If you’re looking for an affordable, peaceful, and scenic Hipcamp experience, this property is an excellent choice.

easy to find spot in a largely unhabited set of parceled lands at the foot of Blanca Peak. Low scrub and cacti, no trees. Rained all night but it was beautiful--light and cool, the cacti were flowering, coyotes in the distance. Definitely not for the agoraphobic but perfect for a night in the middle of a long drive.

Absolutely beautiful spot in the plains just at the foot of Little Bear! Not only do you have 360° mountains, beautiful sunrise and sunset views, but the sky is so illuminated at night. The only warning I will give is that wind in this area can be strong! Took some intense tent staking and holding up our sun shade tent for a few hours to get through some heavy winds. Other than that, this was the most beautiful camping spot we’ve had in southern Colorado! The only wildlife we saw/encountered were some deer in the field just before sunrise, and little field mice as the sun went down. Perfect camping experience.

Great quiet spot. We weren’t tent camping but have a camper van. Wanted somewhere out of the way of all the people with fantastic views and that’s exactly what we got. Neal was great answering my questions.

The campsite was not what I expected. It wasn’t well marked and it did not have a driveway for access. We parked on the main gravel road and walked about 30 towards to the site, which was just a tiny bare patch of sand marked with a piece of wood and a small fire pit. The cleared area was big enough for one tent and we had to clear more cacti out of the way for more space. It was a beautiful view of the mount rains and great stars at night though! Good access to Sand Dunes. Lots of bugs and wind.

Neal communicated well with us and provided us detailed directions on how to get to the campsite. The site itself is well maintained and clean. I woke up to the best view I’ve ever seen! The panoramic view of the Blanca Peak is so unforgettable.
