Sip your morning coffee and watch Durango's famous train chugging up the valley each morning, the red cliffs behind, the deer (and elk if your lucky!) grazing in the open space before you. Enjoy the Durango Hot Springs, James Ranch, Dalton Ranch Golfing, Hermosa Creek Mountain bike trails, and Honeyville Honey all in easy access up the valley. Centrally located 8 minutes to Durango, 20 minutes to Purgatory.Accommodations include a grassy, 36x18 area w/ easy gravel driveway access, next to a small playground w/ sandbox, slide, two 'tree-house' platforms, and swingset. (Currently under renovation, please ask before using.).

Animas Valley View

We spent one night at Kammie’s and it was lovely. We had water, electricity and a portable toilet. The site is pretty and very quiet. The hosts are very friendly but not invasive. Great place for tenting.
